The NFL needs to create a video similar to what the Rugby league did. If you look up "What is and isn't a HIP DROP tackle | NRL explainer | 2023", you can see quite a few examples of what is and isn't a HIP DROP tackle. They should also make it reviewable by the upstairs crew similar to what the NCAA does with the "targeting" rule. They should not fine the players the first couple of years, but they need to disqualify him similar to what the NCAA does. This way the team is insentivisied to teach the correct technique.

Puka is nice. An absolute beast. It's the same situation with my Lions STEALING Amon-Ra St Brown in the 4th round 112th overall. There weren't as many receivers taken before Puka (19) , but St. Brown can name all 16 receivers taken before him. He sat down after he was drafted and memorized every receiver, over and over. He said the more he looked at the list, the more he felt disrespected and used it to fuel his motivation. So, on behalf of the Detroit Lions and Lion's fans, I like to say thank you for gift wrapping St Brown to us. He's a gift that keeps on giving and giving. I'm sure Puka felt the same way as St Brown did.

Barring injury, Hooker will only see the field during the preseason and MAYBE garbage time late in games in which the victor is not in doubt. Hendon deserves a chance to be a starting QB...but NOT 4 years from now. This despite the majority of Lions fans, who selfishly expect Hooker to be fine with his role as long-term backup.
