I had a hell of a time trying to dry it at first too. It doesn't help that it wobbles around like crazy when you're trying to pump it fast enough to turn orange.
For best effetive cleaning, use a spray bottle containing 1 cup of DAWN and 2 cups of vinegar or apple vinegar.. Shake it up well and set bottle on spray pattern. Works like a dream. The accidity in the vinegar will cut the soap scum while the dawn will act on cleaning the rest of the shower. PS use a bit milder mix to clean household glass and auto glass. Bob S
Thank you! I bought this and the instructions it came with were very unclear ( like how does the clean water clean through mop head?). Agree not good for heavy cleaning. Please share your favorites, but I didn’t like the 0’Cedar spin mop
You are so welcome. As for my favorite mops I have had both models of the o'cedar, I've had the bona, the swiffer, the shark vac mop, and i've had 2 wet dry mops (the tineco and the bissell crosswave hydrosteam.) Out of those my favorite was the o'cedar which I see you don't care for. If you have any mops you would like me to buy and try let me know I am always down for trying new things. I've also had the JOYMOOP mop on my list to try but I never pull the trigger because it reminds me so much of the swiffer lol.
Same with our half bath. It's so tiny and we never use it so the toilet gets dirty. I pour vinegar in it, let it sit for a few hours to a day & then clean it.

lol girl the pumpkin spice dawn sounds crazy but you really couldn’t smell much. I get it though it’s not for everyone 🤣 also thanks for the feedback about the voiceovers. I always feel so crazy talking for so long so I wasn’t sure what people tend to gravitate towards in cleaning videos.
Your kids rarely flush the toilet in that bathroom. And I’m glad you have paper towels in that bathroom, I never know what your kids wiped on the hand towel lol (p.s. not bullying, she is my sister)
I tried that at first but the microfiber towels I had didn't fit over the pot lid and I didn't want to just strap it down with rubberbands. I was also going to try using laundry detergent in the water as well but I didn't want it to make my couch sticky like the fabric refreshers sometimes do. Idk it could just be the couch material who knows.
Hi Crystal! I got the Dawn pumpkin spice too, also got the pine tree and cranberry ones too…they smell really good! I like scented items too, I just try to only get more natural products. We have a lot of animals, so I am a real worry wort about making them sick. I like a mixture…I like that you engage in all you’re doing! I love your checkered pants, cute! Hey there Lauren! I got the pine and cranberry ones as well. I had to get all 3 as soon as I saw them lol. I understand about the animals. I only use natural products on things that are specifically for my dog like the detergent for his bedding, or the soap I use to clean his food and water bowls. Thanks so much for watching friend.

Considering the effects of cleaners on your skin, which is the largest organ and is immediately absorbed into the skin, but using this where it is vaporized, I'd like to know the long-term effects. There's enough cancer and autoimmune issues around and I'm fighting hard to eliminate all the risks.
@@CrystalCleannnn Yes, I'd say cancer and autoimmune issues are a big concern. It's best to learn about these things while you're young. I was sick for 7 years and I used products like this. Learn now. Don't be ignorant.
Aw, honey….so much pain! I’m sorry. You WILL get thru this. Put that cute dog on a leash and go outside for a nice walk - it will do a world of good for both of you! It’s fun if you have a small downtown where folks can walk up and greet you. I know….weird suggestion, right? Great way to be OUT and have some human interaction. Dogs are a great way to meet people. Take care of yourself! ❤
Oh yes I go on multiple walks with my dog daily. It's not that im not around other people (I am) its just that I don't have as many meaningful friendships like I did when I was younger. Now that my kids aren't as little as they used to be I'm pushing myself to make time for new friendships. Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you! Sometimes I think RU-vid has cameras in my house, lol. The algorithm presented me with this video when I really needed it. I did it and it worked great! The last great tip I tried was Bar Keepers Friend (liquid) for the shower doors and it did NOT work. This DOES and I am so grateful!

In Alaska boats are not allowed to use Dawn soap because of the effect that particular soap has on the environment. They spread it over oil spills to dissipate the sheen in the water. There is a huge fine if you have an oil spill of any size. SO dawn does work well, just remember this stuff is going into our water supply and we will end up drinking it eventually
Wait…..the Voice of Reason? I love it! Good for you to share your opinions 👍🏻 I have recently become fascinated by “cleaning videos” - and the array of cleaning products is astounding… overwhelming. Bar Keepers Friend has been around for well over a 100 years. It works! I need “no odor” products and I appreciate your comment on that. As for “antibacterial” - note that there is hype on that as well. Unless you are confronted with some nasty virus in your home (hello norovirus), there is NO NEED for antibacterial cleaning. The use of a cleaning product is to break the surfactant surface to which dirt and bacteria cling. Decent cleaning on a routine basis is sufficient. Thank you for your video - yes, I enjoyed it!
Yes I agree about the antibacterial stuff being overly hyped. I don’t use antibacterial anything unless it’s in the bathrooms. But ironically our family was hit hard this week and last week from Covid. So I went a little crazy buying antibacterial everything because of it 😂
Welcome to the vinegar & Dawn cleaning club! My mix is 1c vinegar and 3/4c Dawn (plain blue), first used it several years ago on a horrid shower pan and it's been my bathroom go-to ever since.

I am a Mom of 6 and had our kiddos from 92’-99’, I was 21…fast forward to now, kiddos graduated college, still (I am super happy about this) living at home, and working in their fields. My Mom had bone cancer in 2017, she passed very quickly too! I am sorry for your loss. We have 2 dogs, a LOT of cats, so life can get stressful, especially when you strive for perfection! Vinegar works well for maintenance but if you have clothes or towels with really bad buildup it doesn’t work as well in my experience. This is the kind of product that is good for when you have tried other methods and they aren’t working.
@@CrystalCleannnnYes, I’ve not found vinegar to be helpful at all, nor really soften the clothes. Also I avoid it in my washing machine because I’m not really sure how it affects all the rubber parts over time. I used to use the Calgon so I’ll put it on my shopping list for this hack (which I’ll have to do in the bathtub). You have a fabulous laundry room, I’m jealous LOL.
Yes, I have heard that using vinegar in your wash on a regular basis isnt that good for your washing machine and can actually break down some fabrics over time. I'm not sure though how often is too often though. And thank you for the laundry room compliments. I am very grateful for my laundry room. In my last house my washer and dryer was in a closet (LOL) so this has been a dream.
@@CrystalCleannnn I also don’t know how much vinegar is too much. I bought the Calgon and I’m (eventually) going to try on some of my husband’s shirts; the favorites that are one step away from going into the rag pile. BTW, my laundry area is converted closet opening to a hallway. LOL.
In a professional cleaner. A few suggestions for you. 1. Use a squeegee when done showing and your glass won't get that bad. Takes a minute or so and the cleaning load will be lightened. 2. Bio clean to remove the hard water spots. It puts a coating on the glass that lasts for 2-3 months and build up won't happen 3.; for weekly cleaning use Ecolab's shower, tub & tile cleaner with vinegar and the shower for will always sparkle. You won't have spots and steaks left over
You could see the water slowly changing colour as you added more towels! And, they really do look fluffier coming out of the dryer! Nice tip, thank you! 😊
I use the same cleaner on the shower drain that I used for the rest of the shower. I use a hard bristled scrub brush to clean the shower floor along with the drain.
Thank you for this great tip, really hard water where I live and my towels never seem as clean as they should be, I'm definitely going to give this a try.
I bought the Pink Stuff toilet cleaner and it didn't do anything but temporarily dye my toilet pink. I've seen someone use the regular stuff in the tub and have it work but I'm dubious
Oh no! Was it the regular toilet bowl cleaner or the foaming powder? Either way that sucks. I haven’t tried any of the pink stuff products other than the paste. It’s just nothing special. 🤷♀️
Great idea. Here's another tip, once the glass is sparkling clean apply Showroom Shine car cleaner to the glass and buff with a cloth. This makes the glass water resistant. I then reapply Showroom Shine every four to six weeks.
RainX for car windscreens will work too, but you will still get marks if you have hard water with either. Okay in soft water areas. I just use a wipe down with neat vinegar every so often to remove the limescale.

Hi Crystal, I think it's very brave to start a RU-vid channel! I used to clean professionally (residential, commercial and construction). Now I professionally watch cleaning videos lol. Anyways, just came across your channel today and subscribed. Do not be concerned with how you look (you look great) most people watch cleaning videos for motivation..looking forward to new videos! ✌☺
I have never had the glass screen on my shower like this. Every time the shower is used I wipe down all the walls with a sponge and then spray ‘shower spray’ on the glass and squeegee, finishing with a microfibre cloth for any little splashes I’ve missed. For the chrome I wipe down with a sponge and shine with a microfibre cloth. I also spray the shower base with bathroom ‘spray, wipe, done’ and use a long handle squeegee to clear into the drain. I rarely do the big clean because it’s a 5 minute job after each shower use. If I have family or friends staying either they do it or I go in after and do it. I also do this with the bathroom sink and tap to keep them sparkly and grime free too.
Awesome job Fred. You definitely win the gold in shower cleaning. 👏 As for me there are 3 of us that use this shower on a daily basis and there’s no way I’m doing all of that 3 times a day. 🤣 I’d rather just do a weekly clean.
