Hey, I'm currently in the process of doing this with my Milsig CQC, tried to shoot it like an idiot with the round head that's why I'm here. What's the best grit to sand it down with? Does it matter? Thanks!
Jim Ciulla I'm having trouble sanding, I bought 5 squareheads just in case I messed up sanding. I go way too low or my technique with sanding the tube down isn't good. Do you have any tips?
sorry noob question, ginner at paintball :D, how do you shoot so fast with auto? I recently got m17 cqc and the auto does not shoot fast like yours how do i fix this?
Did you buy you M17 new or used? If new, which retailer did you purchase it from? This is how full auto should work, and this video was day 2 out of the box. At 280 FPS, the M17 shoots 15-18 BPS (balls per second).
This will work for the basic CQC only thing is you might wanna cut out the section where the Mag release is since it is ambidextrous. The square heads you can get from any Milsig m17 magazine just take the magazine apart and the square head comes right off. ;)
Yes it will work on the CQC. However you need to mod the Mag tower with a notch for the paddle catch by dremmeling a notch thru one of the switch sections, and you also need to cut out a section of the plastic below the mag tower on the back of the box. It's easier to to just swap the plastic CQC paddle release magwell for a XDC metal magwell. I would like to assume that you've used the milsig marksman barrel system considering the paradigm parts you have... In the video that lapco barrel was quite impressive and i was wondering, in your opinion, which barrel system was better or if you have any barrel recommendations for longer range engagements. Awesome video just by the way, gotta give it bonus points for that full auto bullet trace at the end.
Hey, did you buy a whole square head kit for the box or just swapped a square from a regular milsig mag? If you bought it where did you buy it from and if you swapped it how did you do it?

Hi Jim, how did the adaptation of RAP4 Box Magazine to squarehead? Did you change just the head or had to cut/paste any part of Box Magazine? I wish you could publish a detailed tutorial process. Greetings.
Very cool, I love the rate of fire with the box mag, my M17 in 1 sec you have cleared a mag haha. But I have one question, what thread of barrel does the M17 use? i think the A5. I want to get an 18 ince FSR barrel for some mid range sniping.
Probably not, as the mag well sizes for both are different. You would have to somehow make the feed neck flush with the mag, and then trim it down to a 5.56 mag size, as milsig and rap4 mag sizes are closer to 7.62.
So, I'm considering getting the XDC and If ai do this is definitely a mod I'd want to do for it. My question is will the boxmag still work if the a XDC's mag release is set/switch to left handed, I'm a southpaw and finding a ambidextrous paintball marker has been a task and a half and I wanted to find out if that would affect the boxmag being able to catch and/or release properly from the marker.
I have the same question about the xdc shroud. I havent seen alot of videos on it. Is it possible to change the shroud on the marker or did yu have to mod/cut anyything out for it before placing it. I am really looking into the xdc and the cqc but i am really doing my research to see whats the big difference between them.
Do you have a video of the conversion. I'm running the cqc version but have gone to a marksman barrel. Took it out for the first time today but weather was crappy and the balls started breaking in the mags. But first 3 hours it was great but I want to go to the nautilus drive
Just curious, did you say you would get chops 2/3 way through the box mag with the round collar. And after you modified to the square head, you don't get chops?
What kind of issues are you having with the M17? The guy who posted below me is having issues too. I just ordered a DMR and its getting ready to be shipped. Now I'm thinking I should cancel........?
Bad ass Mods! I love how you added the Paradigm Pro shroud on the M17 XDC. I'm also not a big fan of the M17 XDC shroud. I hopping Milsig will sell the Paradigm Pro shroud one day. I love how you box mag the XDC. You shot that XDC as it was a SAW Machine gun. *Thumbs up*
