We on Medicare are receiving drugs made in china and then pushed through the borders as in Florida where truck loads pail as its boat loads of junk medication that doesn't help us. They put us on junk then cut off our meds as if we are expendable, drawing off of their monies.. first it is not their money but just a fake way of making them rich off of helping the outside world kill us. Get a public service job and pay into the public pension. Its that simple. As for those who are currently public servants, we could always simply allow the public servants to be exempt from paying into BOTH their public service pension AND into Social Security and leave things as they are. The complaint is not that public servants want both their pension and social security while not contributing, instead it is that public servants pay into both systems and only receive the benefits of one. Moreover, the spouse of the public servant is also penalized, they get reduced social security benefits when they (the spouse) retires though they earned their living outside of the public sector.

Kentucky has over $41 billion dollars' worth of unfunded pension liability. Nationwide unfunded public pension liability estimates are anywhere from $1.6 to $5 trillion dollars. You should be so proud. You seem to forget where the revenue comes from to finance a public servant's existence. Just a reminder, that revenue comes from 90% of taxpayers in the private sector. Let's take that away and force you to fend for yourself and see what happens. As far as spousal benefits I urged my wife to take full 100% teachers retirement benefits at 55 years old as I didn't need her retirement income in her absence. Same with my SS. I took 100% SS at 62. We felt it wise to get every penny of state retirement income from Kentucky and every penny from SS. We net over $70,000 just from retirement income. We max out a ROTH IRA annually with retirement income. Lack of financial planning for retirement on your part is not my responsibility. It's yours. Grow up and live with your poor life decisions. Stop demanding government confiscate other people's income due to your poor financial planning.
If it's fair to the public service sector to receive social security benefits because they "contributed" to SS, why would it not also be fair for me receive public pension benefits? After all I contributed to public pension benefits for over 50 years.

When social security funds are depleted, public servants will still get their pension benefits. Public servants are a financial burden on taxpayers as it is.
