Sure.. even though the scriptures in Matthew 27 verse 4 it says he "repented himself" which is basically just saying he regretted but never actually repented in a sense of GODLY SORROW much like Peter had done.. Judas had WORLDLY SORROW.. which is despair and that will ultimately lead anyone to kill themselves... I also believe that suicide is self murder... but then again who knows only God of course I quite reasonably have no definitive saying on this matter.. why Judas- why?

I appreciate your presentation of the functions of the local church! I would like to lovingly plea with you to expand your vision of the church, or at least any of your applications to it, to include unmarried people. I'm an unmarried adult. I can translate what you're saying and maneuver myself into the application of it, but there will be many who aren't yet able to do that. Pastors, please look out and see the paradigm of the church, called out by God Himself, is increasingly made up of unmarried people who need a meaningful place in the family of God. Some of them will be mature enough to figure it out alone, forcing their way through the "only marriage and parents" framework of many church leaders, but many will need your gracious help to know what it looks like to be a Godly adult single member of God's household.

Very insightful explanation. " Not coming to you with a purity of purpose" Been meditating on this passage for a number of days now and am beginning to realize how profound a matter it really is as regards our life in this world as believers. I like his analogy of the "kingdom of Self" and the kingdom of God".

This was extremely relevant today. I am on the fence between an MDiv and a Christian Counseling degree at seminary. I am trying to figure out where I should do to be able to do counseling. Any advice on how to figure this out?

But why on earth, no pun intended, would I ever want to leave the spiritual presence of my Father to dwell in an earthly body again? That part kind of makes no logical or spiritual sense.

This is unpopular in modern Christianity, but Satan has done quite a number in a lot of the modern churches today over alcohol with "Don't get drunk" and "Drink in moderation" (which isn't stated in scripture), YET we don't say that adultery, lying, fornication, stealing, murder, and doing drugs in moderation or meddling with those things is okay. I know, those that drink hate me right now for saying a peep. The next argument is "Jesus turned water into wine and gave it out." BUT if Jesus gave an entire wedding fermented alcohol after several days of supposedly drinking alcohol at the wedding, how would anyone know the difference? Possibly it could have been a special heavenly wine that was non-intoxicating (yes I know the Greek Oinos), or watered down, but just because it doesn't say "new wine", would not fermented wine intoxicate people? Thus Jesus was sinning or would be causing people to get drunk and sin, and therefore He could not die for our sins ala Habakkuk 2:15 and him being a High Priest and priests not drinking anyways. Pretty simple logic to me, but in type it appeared to be wine, but was miraculous or different or better. So, I believe we put modern culture into ancient culture and YET many forget God's character and focus of scripture is 1) The holiness of God (Jesus) and loving the God who came to die a sinless death for us and 2) Loving your neighbor as yourself. So.... in the totality of who God and Jesus are in scripture, and the track record of destruction that alcohol has on Christians and Non-Christians, and the warnings to us of alcohol in scripture... Why would any Christian defend alcohol? Why would we say, "But the qualifications of deacons?" or "What Paul wrote Timothy?" Using these apologetic defenses and the destructive results of alcohol do not support the totality of scripture and the character of who God (Jesus) is. Satan, in my opinion, has gotten us to defend alcohol with many of these passages, getting us to lift up the freewill to drink, over the holiness of God and the warnings of scripture to us to depart from it. We have many rights, but freewill without heeding warnings will harm us. Alcohol is a drug. In fact, it is the number one drug on the planet, and always has been since the days of Noah. I know we tend to trivialize or minimize things (our nature). Drinking is not a sin, alcohol is not a sin, but consuming it if you aren't perishing (dying), or sick, or with a purpose as scripture says is likely sin. Alcohol contains leaven or yeast, and Jesus would not drink leaven before the cross at the last supper, no way. Leaven or yeast was a type of sin. Alcohol that is fermented destroys millions of lives every year, and many of them "Christian", and many of them from everyone's family. We can argue the deacon, Timothy, wedding at Cana passages as our basis to support that it's okay to drink (and everyone has to be convinced in their own mind), but I believe the character of God's holiness, the warnings of scripture, and even that kings and priests did not drink, and scripture tells us we are now kings and priests in being born again, and that if we are to be like Jesus and goldy, it's simply not for us. I specialize in alcohol and drug enforcement and see it destroy lives daily of families and Christians and non-Christians. Alcohol and our modern church views are as subtle, inviting, and destructive as the Devil himself. Jesus blood is sinless, without Leaven (sin), or puffed up pride. Jesus spit alcoholic narcotics out at the cross and we should too if we want to avoid being deceived. The most important thing is to worship God and bring people to Jesus. It is not important to support what destroys hundreds of millions of people. I am okay with you disagreeing, but I like to write these thoughts down to get others to think about God's character in light of alcohol. I am still your friend if you drink or don't. I think a true friend says something and yet still loves the other person. This is also not legalistic or directed at anyone. Just felt compelled to write it.

"Don't bring God in according to your judgement." - time 7:05 What does that mean? How would we do such a thing? We're asking for help. God's not doing anything he doesn't want to do. This statement doesn't make sense.

If disabilities are so good then why did Jesus cure the blind man? Jesus only cured a few (not sure of the exact number) while on Earth a couple thousand years ago, but is leaving all the other disabled to suffer their whole life times for the rest of history.

Job was a pathetic little wimp. He barely made it through one single day of suffering horrible tragedies. God showed up as a whirlwind demanding Job explain who he is to question God and what he does. (Job was unhappy about having a really bad day.) How long would Job have remained faithful if he had to spend the rest of his life with the memories of a really bad day and never being able to recover from that? We'll never know. God restored everything that was lost and gave him even more on top of that for a SINGLE DAY'S suffering! How about the rest of us? We (most of us) suffer our entire lives and never get anywhere near the success and prosperity that is just handed to Job (except for a SINGLE DAY of suffering - which was promptly erased and his wealth and success was at least DOUBLED after that!).

The disabled are totally screwed. They get ostricized through no fault of their own. They miss out or are excluded from common and normal events and activities. They have the same, and often even more, bills to pay than everyone else and have fewer opportunities to make enough money to pay for it and still have a nice life. This is absolutely disgusting nonsense!!!!!!!!!!! Just what is God thinking?

I was adopted by emotionally unhealthy non-Christian parents, and have too much Childhood trauma to overcome. I still can’t properly regulate my emotions well enough to create a healthy environment for a child. That’s what I struggle with. I feel a sense of shame for nit having children, while at the same time I know it would be a terrible idea.

How precious that these parents have found God's comfort and then share it with others as 2 Corinthians 1:4 promises. This looks like a good resource. I found comfort when I understood that my preborn baby isnt 'lost' but in heaven with God, Who is good, and I will see Baby again because I am saved. King David speaks of this when his baby died. Blessings to you and love from Pittsburgh!

Thank you Paul for your courage to speak what you believe God laid on your heart. Sorry you have to face backlash, but as long as your are doing God's will for life it will be worth it (as I'm sure you know). To commenters: From my point-of-view, Paul is giving his advice on how to better love one's neighbor. You may disagree with his assessment of reality, but I don't see how you can criticize his intent. It just seems the topic of "social justice" is triggering for a lot of people, on both sides of the political spectrum. May God continue to increase the faith, hope, love and wisdom of his children. And may he increase our ability to love our neighbor.
