That’s an incredible old vise.Old bench vises are truly one of the most interesting and historically rich pieces of Americana someone could collect imo & I only have 2 but i see why folks do it’s kinda nice to take a look back at the craftsmanship of yesteryears especially in todays disposable lifestyle it’s just incredible any thing like that survived their intended life span let alone out survive their owner, that’s an impossibility in todays market for most things

The lift lug on this 1 was missing. It was a unique special order cat part. I knew I was going to put axles under it to make it towable so i never ordered a new lug. I did move a second 1 i had to another trailer using a winch. thx 4 watching.
Could you do me a favor? I have the 20 ton version which i think is very similar mechanically. Could you measure the 'stop pin' that's in the screw for me? The PO for mine replaced it with a cut off screw that's the wrong size, but I don't know what it's supposed to be. Thanks! FYI - on another forum, I believe the handle should be 7/8" diameter and 27" long.
