I don't understand why her team still choose to race without a spotter. You cant blame her since she didn't know, but why her team or organization agree to race without one is beyond me.
A lot of ignorant people who've don't know what it's like to control a car at those speeds.. Here's another little tid bit that nobody seemed to notice.. Martin's car was liquid-paper white up against a white wall.. Transitioning from banking to straightaway probably helped camouflage his car. It's odd that no one seems to have thought about that one
What's odd is that the driver was at full-throttle for a full 13 seconds after the yellow lights were on. They put yellow lights around the track specifically for these reasons. It indicates that conditions aren't safe for racing speeds. If the driver had slowed down when the yellow lights were displayed -- as is required -- she would have been able to easily avoid Martin even if she didn't see him until late. For some reason she continued at racing speed all the way down the backstretch and then all the way through turns 3 and 4 even though the yellow was out. But yeah, Martin shouldn't have had a white car. He should have painted it fluorescent pink so other drivers could see him if he crashed.
@@johncalla2151 you look at this video and you tell me wtf you see YELLOW LIGHTS?! There were no flashing lights or flagman to indicate there works a problem on the track! So she had no way of knowing he was there especially without a spotter you ignorant!
It's sad to hear the words "jaunty Frank Williams", knowing that 5 years after this was shot, he would lose mobility in a stupid accident as he returned from testing at the same circuit.
5:07 A perfect example of what 2022 F1 teams are contending with during pre season practice at Barcelona. Porpoising. Note the Williams car jumping up and down.
It’s distressing to know it takes incidents like this for- what should be- common sense rules such as spotters during practice sessions to be in place. Like many other rules, it’s one that’s been written in blood.
I figured mine out, everybody says starter clutch and they were close. I replaced it with no resolve. It’s between the starter and starter clutch, is the idler gear p.m. It holds the idler gear in place, it was sloppy inside of the case housing. It can be replaced very easily
Racing drivers look forward, you can see a car stopped in the racing line. The only possible excuse is that the car maybe blended into the wall, but caution lights around the track shouldve been a pretty massive hint.
Who the hell thinks it’s a good idea to not have spotters? If I were the Martins, I would sue Arca for this, and they would most likely win. Also, Renshaw braked literally milliseconds before she hit his car.
Woman drivers....am I right. The caution lights were one for the 3 other cars that passed. She obviously didn't know what yellow meant. Or treated it like a traffic light turning yellow, which clearly means stand on it.
Huh? Renshaw was somewhere between turn 2 and halfway down the backstretch. They yellow didn't come out right away, and by the time it did, Renshaw was somewhere in turns 3-4 and was in the oil that was all over the track and then lost control and couldn't stop. literally states this in the ARCA accident findings
Bra ṣhut y'all ďümɓ äṣṣ up! It was Arca fault for not having spotters up there during practice. She didn't know he was there so don't even try and put blame on her.
@@QJDucatihow? There was no smoke and the other drivers were able to avoid with smoke. How did she not see the car sitting there and made no attempt to avoid it
@@rossb18isles the other drivers were able to avoid bkuz they had spotters. She did not have a spotter. And according to Jeff Gordon it is nearly impossible to see Is the middle of the quad oval when exiting turn 4. People need to stop speaking on shit they have no experience in.
Ever driven this fast? I have. Only one way she misses this- remember, the YELLOW WAS OUT- and THEN, 15 SECONDS later? No, sorry- She was NOT paying attention, something else had it- the other drivers? WERE paying attention, and one of them? HAD a reason to actually get close, because it was that fast. What this appears, TO ME? IMO? PC BS, in order to COVER for the MISTAKE, of a "Woman Driver". PERIOD. I've been watching NASCAR all my life- & driven a little- for other things- this should NEVER have happened- and an investigation should be done, into WHY this was covered over, as it was. What BS, and how sad, for the driver killed, and his family.
