I purchased this from BAM Auto Parts or BAM Wholesale parts online. It may or may not be in stock when you look now. As long as the part # is correct, you can buy it from any reputable Mazda parts dealer (BEMDV4900) FYI The exact part number might change on newer models
Interesting...I just watched another video about installing the same OEM lip on his Mazda 3. However, his install had ALOT fewer steps. Also, no drilling or templates used and no splash shields taken off. Maybe I'm missing something, but here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--qTZFeRqCOk.html
based on what you have shown in the end, you didn't really need to take the bottom covers off at all to install this. just undo the fasteners and some bolts and those those holes to attach the lip?
Do you mind if I ask WHERE you bought the front lip ? Mine came with it, but it got smashed last night. Mazda wants $575 plus tax plus $200 instal just for the front lip !!! ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET AN OEM MAZDA3 FRONT LIP CHEAPER ? Thanks I’m in Toronto, Ontario, Canada by the way.
@@trogdor21997 Thanks for the info. A BIG : THANK YOU, to yourself and also to : BAM AUTO WHOLESALE, In Brunswick, OHIO. I reached out to them, but unfortunately the part is sold out/ back ordered. But BAM’s customer service is AMAZING. They replied to me within 2 hours !!! (Which is great considering some auto stores ignored me period, when I said I’ll drive down from Toronto, Ontario, to pick it up !) If anyone knows where to buy an OEM 2023 Mazda 3 Turbo, front lip -spoiler, aero kit, I’d sincerely appreciate your help ! -Much Love from: TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA 🇨🇦!!!!
Do you think automotive 3m tape in place of the drill holes be solid enough? Im thinking about still sandwiching the splitter in between the lower plate, screwing it in, but using thing automotive tape on the sides where the screws were drilled. Im not too fond of the idea of drilling into my car specifically if it’s a part that could get damaged.
@@trogdor21997okay I will definitely consider it. The other guys tutorial he didn’t take off the lower plate hence why he ended up with a gap. He just screwed it over the plate from what I could tell.
@@OtenP_ There are screw holes in the lip that line up with the holes I drilled in the bumper. While underneath the car, you place and then tighten screws in those holes so that it’s secure and flush all the way around. The ones underneath that I show during the reassembly steps are not the only screws. I put a little text note at the bottom there at 17:26 describing it
@@trogdor21997appreciate the responses, I was just questioning it because I have the turbo version with the from lip installer from factory and sucks knowing if I would to remove it some day there will be holes there
@@trogdor21997where did you get the screws? This is really hard to follow coz you didnt film the part where you put the screws in the middle. So i am missing this thats why my front lip moves.
@@trogdor21997 Hey, one more question, did end up installing the air deflector thing that looks like two metal brackets? It says in the instructions it is required, but I'm not sure how or what it even does.
Just a heads up, whenever doing something like this. Do a mockup first to make sure everything will line up and fit correctly before drilling any holes. Nice job describing what you were doing during install. The only way to gain experience is by doing and learning. Keep it up.
I’ve essentially PP’d my base turbo. Installed the lip, the spoiler, and got the navigation SD card. Only thing I’m missing is the 360 camera and the perforated leather!
@@trogdor21997 sounds awesome. Is yours NA or the Turbo? I had a 2019 NA hatch and traded her in for the 2023 Turbo PP. The power difference is CRAZY. I absolutely love the car. My 5th Mazda 3 and now a 3 that's fast AF.
@@Games4Days912 Haha I actually also had a ‘19 NA and then traded for a ‘21 base turbo. Easiest place to tell the difference was overtaking on the highway. Like night and day
@@trogdor21997 yeah and the low end as well. All that torque is super fun. Highway speeds she takes TF off. Such a fun car to drive. My only complaint is when youre ripping say goodbye to your gas 😂
I just did the install a few days ago as well. i placed the template like how u had it (between the white paint and black unpainted)but also did a test fit prior to drilling. Turned out to be quite off so i repositioned the template where it touches the ridge on the very bottom of the bumper cover which ended up to be the correct drilling locations.
Yeah that sounds about where the template would be if you put the black lines under the paint line like I had the text in the video say. Idk why they left such an important step pretty ambiguous
