So I dnt see any videos of u after treatment so how did it go hiw r y feeling. I have hep c. I was prescribed the epculusa an its been in the cabinet 2 months I so scared of taking it. I am a single mom an just fear the worst that smwthg will happen to me like I collapse an die with my 6 yr old in the home so scared. Glad u got through congratulations 🎊
I got two really bad headaches during my treatment and was really tired a couple days too. For anyone reading this and are going to take epclusa make sure to drink a gallon of water a day during the treatment. Those headaches I had just happened to be on the days I didn’t drink plenty of water 💦. I took the pill every evening at the same time and walked 8 miles a day, well almost every day. Now I’m 100% hep c free. My doctor even told me I’m CURED! Thank you Jesus!
I found your 1st video and I'm currently bindge watching you. I could npt find anyone providing this type of insight. I have a loved one that will be starting treatment soon. It is my prayer to assist them in any way possible. Getting a better insight is important. Your spirit of openness and encouragement while going through this is so so extremely kind. I know the likily hood of you reading this is slim to none, since these video are 3 years old. I hope that you and your family are doing well and living your life to the full. Thank you for being a blessing.
Hi, I know what it's like to try to make amens with the Lord after drug use. It's good to see someone so good at doing so. I just wanted to talk to you about your experience with Epclusa, this wonder drug and opportunity... did you get digestive issues with hep C? I just started week 4 of treatment and Epclusa isn't making them better. Maybe they're even worse. Please pass on your knowledge...
Im scared too..i have no idea when i get approved..but researching has caused anxiety..i just had a cancer scare that stsrted all this 1st of all..but i already suffered from anxiety
Had hep c and lost my job and insurance. Doctor told me to come in for labs anyway. Cleared hep C in 8 weeks, probably less but who knows. I personally didn’t have any side effects except maybe weird dreams, but I have those often anyway.
How are you doing now? I start my first treatment of Epclusa (learned I had contracted Hep C in 1991 after a blood transfusion, but it was a super mild case, so I’ve never been treated at all. Also, am on my 2nd kidney transplant was born with that disease & lots of stuff with that). So, I’m starting Epclusa next weekend. 🙏🏼 paying all goes well!
Did you happen to have upmc for you medicaid? I am in the process right now of trying to get the medication for the second time now, after being denied in 2017, and I still don't know why they denied me then, does anyone maybe know why? But now the same doctor that I went to 3 years ago is all the sudden saying that it was different then, and nobody has gotten denied in 2019 or 2020. Did some kind of new law or something pass because she said that they, whoever that is, wants to treat it before it gets worse. I just really wish that I would have got this medication three years ago, but if I get denied again for some reason, I am going to be really pissed off, and I probably will not go back to the doctor's ever again, because I hate going in the first place anyway, but if anybody has any idea of why it is the way that it is now, and why they are giving it out easier, I'd appreciate it, and if anybody doesn't mind, were any of you on upmc for you medicaid or Medicaid at all? I'm trying to get all the information that I can so I don't get denied again. Thanks, and great day.
My doctor denied treatment 7 years ago as well and I don't know why either but last week he approved it and after some blood work and ultrasound now I am on my 4th day of treatment. He never said anything about sugar just no herbs like cinnamon etc. Had a little stomach upset first day in but I'm great and hopefully I'll be able to feel human after all these years..ps I'm 72

I took the harvoni a few years back and got cured but went back out and got hep c again. Been thinking of trying this because it is the only medication my insurance will cover.
I was treated for hep c genotype 3 with epclusa. I am now hep c free. I watched your videos while I was on treatment and you helped me get through it. I also had bad side effects like headaches, anxiety, mood swings, fatigue...
I was treated with Eplusa for Hep C that I had fr 38 years . It's now been 2 1/2 years. I had very mild systems like you mentioned but milder.. I am free of the virus.. Very Happy about that , I feel healthy. My best wishes to you and anyone going through treatment. I believe the better you eat and take care of yourself the easier the body can handle the drug. Juicing with fresh green vegetable raw healthy foods and plenty of sleep and exercise are key.
Thank you for posting! Are you still feeling good& has the long term testing shown that you're still HCV free? I am starting my epclusa in a couple days& have been doing lots of research.
Yes there is no much on it. Started feeling better after one week really started feeling good after 3 weeks I was to the point where I could barely move and can barely eat. Just started my third month today and everything feels back to normal for the first time in years
Thanks for posting. My husband is also a recovering addict and just started Epclusa this week. He has been fatigued and irritable as well but if it means I can keep him around longer, totally worth it.
Have you finish treatment on Hep C? I lost my mom to this medicine 2 years ago from hep c she went through lots of evaluation from specialists and she was well enough to take the medicine, however as soon as she started taking it she got very sick started throwing up and got weaker every day. We thought nothing of it and her liver doctor said it was normal so we kept having her take this pill and what it did was damaged the rest of her liver she had left. One thing I would recommend is always having your morning coffee especially if your taking this medicine because coffee helps your liver. Anyways I was curious if this medicine worked for you until the very end. In my opinion in two weeks you’re hep C will be fully cured but once she kept taking it past that point she got hospitalized and past away shortly after that.
Ava Lit Yes her liver was damaged quite badly. However when she was evaluated by many different liver specialists at UCSF they determined that her liver made a huge recovery and told her that her liver will be okay enough to take this medicine and she did but she had bad reactions to it and from that we could not save her but a week into the medicine she was fully healed but they wanted her to continue taking it to make sure and that is where I regretted to continue to keep having her take it because every day she got sick and did not want to eat. Honestly for the longest time I blamed the medicine but now that I have seen some people cured from the medicine I don’t blame this medicine anymore. Even though on the label in the side affects it states it might cause death or liver failure.
john Cuevas why would they want her to take it still? I imagine they tested for viral load. After 2 months I lost my job and could not afford the third month. But my labs said my liver was normal and no hep c was found. So yeah, I’m not taking it unless it somehow resurfaces. But when you get your viral load down, your immune system should be able to handle things from that point on.
What type of symptoms was you having? Any digestive problems before treatment? Brain fog? Anxiety attacks or elevated heart rate and blood pressure? I just recieved my first month of epclusa. Im really scared to take the first tablet.
Almost a week in on this treatment. I have had almost NO side effects, other than trouble getting any serious amount of sleep...strange. I am also a Recovery Coach, which is a peer support worker helping others on their walk in recovery from substance use/abuse disorders, and this is part of my victory story. I have been clean of all substances 5 years on January 15...
Congratulations!! You have made one of the best decisions of your life. Please keep me posted on how you are doing. I will be praying for you. Also please let me know if you have any questions I would be more than happy to help.
I do hope that my videos do help you. Stick with the treatment. All side effects are worth the outcome. Congrats on getting treatment!! And please feel free to ask questions.
