Welcome to my RU-vid channel. I've been a huge fan of RU-vid for many years and after much careful thought I have decided to launch my own channel.
Thanks to purchasing a used high mileage Range Rover recently with no warranty it seems the perfect time to launch the channel.
If you think this channel is something for you please do subscribe as I have a feeling the next few months and video's could get quite interesting indeed.
Most people who say " Don't buy a Range Rover over 100,000 miles have never owned a car, much less a Range Rover over this mileage, and by today's standards 100,000 miles is not even considered high any more by those that are educated in such matters. I've been in the trade professionally for nearly 40 years ( and I do mean professionally) and regularly buy Range Rovers over at least 130,000 miles, BUT ...... they are "always" the 4.4 TDV8 AND ..... I don't touch them unless they have proper maintenance history, are not all "blinged" up or made to look like something out of a bad "Boys in the Hood" movie" have been cherished and cared for, and haven't had a pack of smelly pets or farm animals inside them ...... mileage becomes almost immaterial if it's been cared for correctly, I'm currently driving one with 170,000 miles on it and it looks and drives like a 70,000 mile example, but at nearly half the price ! ...... so to answer those doom mongers and " haven't a clue" types, by all means DO buy a high mileage Range Rover, just buy the right one. Enjoy your vehicle, still the besr driving and most luxury 4x4 in the world
Worst dealer ever deal with. They have been sold us the display car for the price of brand new vehicle. Parts were missing and removed. After 4 days of delivery Rangerover Evoque 2023 was given engine trouble and tow back to the dealer. No parts available in Australia to fix it. No ETA. They keep our car and money. When we ask for refund Kenny Lam pass the ball to Landrover Australia. When we call Landrover Australia asking us to go back to parramatta dealer. We are going back and forth without resolutions. Be careful and don’t deal with them. Our registration is EUP56G.
Hope you have an update soon. Just found a 2013 L405 with 5.0 engine 103,000 miles. My son who is 17 loves this RR so it’s going to be a learning experience for him on car repair. But it’s fun to see his enthusiasm for it - how I was at 17 about 69 Camaros.
I know the question has been asked already but what Drone was used? I have Mavic Mini and have been asked to create a similar sort of video and am thinking my camera movements would not be that smooth.
Why did you plan, BG, and how did you do it? Putting legible prices and stock numbers on the roofs would covert shoppers into buyers. The drone service could do the printing-out and "labeling." I am "warming up" to this as a startup business.
Watching the video at 0.5 speed answered my "why plan?" question. Six well-used and detail-oriented flight-planning hours yielded an *outstanding* outcome!
Well done it’s a great idea to create a video journal of your experience, not to mention 👍 good 👍 content, I came to the conclusion if you buy these cars you need to keep a spare 2k in the bank to help sort things out… once you get it.
I’ve had my ‘15 for a year and have racked up almost 30k miles in that time, few thousand miles away from 100k now. I’ve replaced the front brakes once and rear brakes twice. Also replaced the sway bar bushings. Everything else has been routine maintenance. Only thing that sucks is the gas mileage, but other than that it’s been great.
Hard to believe that’s your first video, can’t wait to see how your journey goes. I’ve got a range and yeah they can have their niggles but it’s hard not to love them

Hi Mark, for the past 2 months I have been toying with the idea of buying a RR just like yours. I know they get bad press but surely they can't be that bad or they still wouldn't be in business. Love this video and cant wait for the next one. I am in a connundrum and am being told exactly what you were "dont buy a high mileage Range Rover without a full main dealer serice history. I am eager to buy one but paranoid its going to develop an expensive fault after a couple of months. I am mechanically minded and restored a few old cars so would attempt to fix it myself, just not brave enough to take the plunge........ yet...... Look forward to your next video
Wow, thats is what I call a flying visit to a car dealership. Start to finish, outstanding camera action right through the car open side windows fantastic.
