i love the way reviewers of all sorts of things just casually throw out wrong information without a care in the world. It seems like no one really cares because I don t just see anyone bothered by it other than myself. for myself, personally, it makes me like irrationally angry. because how hard is it, really, if you're going to be publishing videos no less, to actually take 5 minutes and get your information right and accurate. I just dont get it, but maybe there's something wrong with me because it's basically the norm and no one else seems to give a single care.
I used what was listed either by the brand or by running warehouse where the measure in house (I don’t recall which for this). I don’t have the tools at home to measure accurately.
Neo Vista has worked pretty well for me as a daily trainer. It took me a bit to figure out how to get a good lockdown but it's OK now. I agree that it's a little bottom heavy but I don't feel it too much. I was one of the few who didn't get along with the Superblast and the Neo Vista can do what I expected from the Superblast. The Glycerin Max has caught my eye as well though. Maybe after the New Year. :)
The elite is a little softer but if I’m not mistaken I think the Paris is a little lighter which I really like a lightweight shoe. Fit wise the elite offers more lockdown and I find it to be more stable as well. I think it would come down to preference for most people
The length is different. US 13 in the speed 4 is 31cm this one has only 29.7cm. Many ppl use the speed 4 for hyrox can u recommend this shoe for hyrox aswell ?
These might be a little unstable for Hyrox but as always it comes down to preference. And yes as I said these run a little short but not short enough to size up in my mind
I ran a half in the AP3 and it felt good other than having to stop twice to tie the shoe. I want to get the EP4 to compare and contrast for my marathon in November.
@@CorGP ah right, that makes more sense. I haven’t tried the AP3 but I did run a marathon in the Evo 1 and it was amazing. Looking forward to grabbing the pro 4
Hi can you recommend me a running shoe for everyday running including, best efforts over a certain distance, intervals, aerobic runs just a really really good all rounder, what would you recommend?
Still my favorite series I’m following right now! Any ideas when your next 5k trail will be?? Man, I work next weekend, otherwise I would really consider coming down for Kings Peak!
So I’m really tempted to just test it this week but I don’t want to screw myself and get hurt too with Kings. Realistically I think it’d probably smartest go get a good 6 or so more weeks in then test
I like the fit of the Triumph 20 Much better than what they did to the laces on the 21. WHY would they discontinue the ever-popular 20/21? Shoulda kept making those, and call the brand new 22 the Triumph Max. Dumb how these shoe companies shoot themselves in the foot.
Saucony actually hasn't been doing as well as a lot of people would think. They made a shift to the triumph and brought back the hurricane to satisfy some of what the market as a whole was asking for and not just serious runners. Not saying its good or bad necessarily but personally I liked the 21 more as well
I'm loving this shoe, too! Only three runs so far, two of them workouts. They were awesome for 6x1mi cruise intervals. For shorter track intervals, I like their little sibling, the Cyclone 2. For me, the Cyclone 2 is a more fun shoe-extremely lightweight and more bouncy than the Specter 2-but a little too minimal for longer workouts. Sometimes I feel the wide toebox (on both shoes) isn't great for cornering at speed, but for 95% of runs I like it much better than a pointy shoe.
Yeah intervals is the one run type where this shoe didn’t feel ideal to me even if it could hit the speed. It’s great overall though. I should hopefully be getting the cyclone 3 soonish so I’m excited to see how that feels
I love this show for doing my 15k. It comforts my mid foot and heel but hurts my forefoot. Can you recommend something like this with padding along the forefoot as well or maybe something with a lower toe drop?
This METASPEED Sky + is still my favorite. They still seem like they might be the better choice for me but hoping to still get my hands on these and give them a try. Great review brother.
It's a good shoe that allows easy and smooth transition. It's great for turnover late in a race when your form breaks down and legs are tired. I think it suits most people therefore making it a great choice for first time super shoe users.
I agree with that, I guess it would just depend on if that person has used lightweight trainers, or a more speed oriented shoe before. Many runners, grabbing their first super shoe are coming from something much more cushioned in which case I don’t believe they would love this choice.
Sauconys are highly underrated and I do not get it why elite runners do not get sponsored by them. We only see Nike, Adidas, Asics Puma recently On running. I would start with Pro 4 not the Elite.
It’s tough. My brother was one of my college housemates. One day we thought he went to class but he went to a gun range because he was failing that semester. The call from the Sheriff was hard. Calling our parents was gut wrenching. Don’t think suicide solves anything. It’s been 30 plus years and our family and friends still miss him.
Tend to use just road shoes namely streakfly and have a bit of a cross country relay event so bought these… lol the difference in weigh was crazy, not used to it and my legs felt heavy. Shoe however does seem solid
I have these. I'm 200lbs and a relatively heavy midfoot striker. I find them to be too soft and ended up with a little forefoot soreness, as though I was pressing through the foam to the running surface during the runs at the fore part of the foot. I like NB, but I wasn't satisfied with this feel at all.
I am looking for a new shoe for long runs which will include progression long runs and interval work as well as slower 20mile plus runs and wanted to use my New Balance Rebel V4's as my uptempo, threshold runs, just wondering if you think it's a bit redundant to have both to be used in that configuration? I am using the Saucony Tempus for my long runs at the moment which I really enjoy but wondered about these as I loved running in my Saucony Endorphin Speed 3's for long runs but preferred a non plated toe if shoe for my long runs? I'm only light, 115lbs. Love the videos mate.
I don’t think it would be redundant, the specter will definitely do better (at least in my opinion) for some of that longer stuff and be more stable overall. Im not going to be reviewing it personally as I’m not a stability shoe user but the saucony tempus just updated and does have pwrrunpb in the latest edition so the new one may have a little more pop for you if you wanted to stick with the tempus line as well
@@raddadbodtv Thanks for the reply mate, I didn't actually realise the new Tempus had an extra 1mm of foam from the previous model. I don't actually need to run in a stability shoe but like the design of the Tempus and have really enjoyed them, especially because they can go slower for recoveries but can pick up the pace for progression runs and intervals during longer runs. Just thought the spectra 2 would be closer feeling to the speed 3 and 4's without the plate and less drop as well.
Dude it was a blast but also weird cause it was like pitch black and flat. Nothing to like anchor you so it was hard to feel your pace. The surface was flat haha, but almost like a hard pack trail. So I wore the speedlands that have not sure aggressive tread but a good flatish base
The older players in the industry definitely have the capacity but they are choosing not to or feel that they don’t HAVE to in this circumstance. I agree though, this is a “gimmick” in order to put the best possible shoe on an athlete in competition while complying with regulation but making it available
I’m surprised as well no other company as followed this direction yet. A $500 show is absolutely crazy, but people definitely paid that price and it was in demand
Puma kind of just did it with the fast rb I think they called it. On with the strike LS as well. No one has full on gone with a $500 “single use” shoe but I’m sure this isn’t the last. Other companies just didn’t see this coming
Seems like Topo has been evolving and making huge strides with innovations while Altra feels stuck in the mud. I used to be a huge Altra fan, but feel like their shoes have barely evolved over the past few years
I’ve heard lots of complains about the quality of Altra too. The shoes falling apart, etc. I like what topo is doing and like that they’re not just zero drop either
The heel cutout and aggressive geometry that only favours midfoot to forefoot striking on the cielo x1 eliminates it being a super trainer for the masses. The skyward X and new Mach X2 allow the Everyman to heel strike and go fast with differing weights and stack.
I bought the atmos and I’m planning to return it. I have narrow heels and I can’t get a great heel lock. I’m wondering if the Specter 2 has the same dimension as the atmos.
