Ive been a fan of vivinos since they made their suki suki daisuki vid. I thought it was so wildly impressive and they amazed me with literally everything that came after especially cherry b*tch club. When alien stage came out though i just knew it was something special and im so insanely proud of them for the success they're recieving. The fact that they can tell such compelling stories with such emotion through short mvs is madly impressive. UGHHHHH SO TALENTED!!!
Right wing hated Velma from being left wing, left wingers hated it republican missrepresentation of the left. It somehiw managed to unite both sides of the isle in hatred for it.
bro literallly every week I go to the toy store and the place where are Wish toys, especially star as a plushie are full, meanwhile I couldn't find a single mirabelle doll. That explains a lot i think. Star was nothing but a failed Marketing strategy. How can people buy merch from a character that they don't care about? you really need a reason you think it'll work with that stupid current project called "100 years Disney anniversary". Bruh im not moved at all man...
still confused about it, it popped on my yt feed with the first round, i still have questions, is it just 6 rounds? also i can't find round 4, idk im so confused is it also like a webtoon? SOMEONE ANSWER PALEASEEE
so: As of now only up to round 6 has been published but we assume the creators are planning more, Round 4 does not exist because if you watch the very beginning of round 5 carefully you will notice that they imply Luka curb-stomped his opponent, Alien Stage is not based on or adapting any Webtoon but it has a very similar art style as it's from a studio that does typically make manhwa and webtoons hope this helps 😊
Great and interesting video! Small correction: Everglow is not from a small company. Yuehua is as large in China as Sment is in Korea. And given they are from China it likely means they have more budget than Korea/kpop. This music market is larger due to it's sheer amount of people. China is the 2nd largest music industry after the US as number 1.
I've always found it fascinating that MV streaming culture revolves around girl groups (BTS is the only boy group I can think of with fans dedicated enough to do this on a regular basis). From what I understand, allot of it has to do with western fans growing up during the digital age where CDs became obsolete. If they buy an album, they might buy one, but their primary way of supporting their fav gg's is to stream the MV relentlessly. Using your Everglow example, they debuted during the peak of streaming culture and I remember fans being pretty eager to pump up their MV numbers. All that being said, streaming culture has died down quite a bit in the last few years so the metric has changed.
It's also not Hybe's fault is other artists and groups can not put out the creative and content with depth that BTS does. Oh woe is me, groups crying . Suck it up. Creat content that has something to say besides jopping and popping . BTS paved the way and made it easier for other groups to be seen, heard, and invited to platforms in the States. If these groups can't Run with the Big Dogs, stay on the porch. 1:41
CDs should be cheaper. Streaming media isn't something you own. The platform could get hacked, or they can just decide to take away the content you paid for. Physical media is the only kind you actually own after you pay for it. Something really needs to be done about the cost of living crisis. It has a lot to do with neoliberalism and private equity robbing everyone, but it's hard for most people to wrap their heads around those concepts.
I've always thought that CD sales were a very outdated metric for charting, and I've thought that since at least 7 years ago (when the BTS YNWA album was released in 2017). Even then you would have been hard pressed to find a computer or laptop that had a CD player. We still did it to support them and get the photobooks and photocards (and I would watch unboxings online of album versions I couldn't afford to get), but yeah honestly who has the spare cash for that these days.
I clicked on the video not intending to watch to the end but you good lady kept me interested to the end. Very good, simple, well explained video with charts and graphs just the way i like.
gg stans dont actually care for their gg as much as bg stans, and just jump in the bandwagon. meanwhile bg stans are crazy dedicated to their faves. been like this since at least 2nd gen
I never considered how the gender demographics of kpop fans affects where the money goes. I've heard that girl groups are on top right now. It's interesting to learn why that isn't translating to sales
that sounds like a good idea ngl but i’m sure there’s reasons it hasn’t been widely done already. i do know that groups under the company modhaus (triples, odd eye circle, and artms) have albums sold without photo cards since the company has this whole nft photo card system thing, so no physical pcs are printed/sold
as someone folowing vivinos' work since years, im really glad/"proud?" to see alien stage blowing up. I encourage everyone to just go and watch this amazing serie, and watch vivinos' other work and art as well, cuz she just never disappoint. (the only thing disappointing me so far is IVANS FCKING DEATH AAAAAAAA- and no more pbc content. please vyt come back jfsdhfks) great video!
3:25 The wild thing is that if Starboy was included in the film, this trope would've been completely subverted. Because Magnifico's goal around the last third of the movie was to take Star's power, Starboy would've been the one in danger, and Asha, who is the female protagonist, would've had to save her boyfriend rather than the other way around.
The fact that it was seen as a GOOD idea to name a subculture or fashion after a book about a pedo tells me everything I need to know. Good example of why I avoid anime and manga. So much pedo bait.
lolita fashion isnt pedo bait though, lolita fashion originated from japan, so its safe to say whoever thought of the name didnt entirely understand the origins of the name 'lolita'- also theres a lot of safe anime out there! it sucks to reduce an entire countries art and animation to being "so much pedo bait", the vid just covers a few examples for the sake of the topic ^^
Extremely fascinating....and unnerving as well I must admit! But wow, you have a fantastic story-telling style about you 🤗. I so enjoyed the richness in history you researched for us for the sometimes strange enigma that has surrounded the name for hundreds of years. From all proof apparent, "Lolita" absolutely has the rest of the world's equivalent of France's je ne sais quoi. 🩵💜🩷
I’ve followed Vivinos for YEARS prior to Alien Stage Especially for her horror shorts & I’m SO PROUD that her ideas are being popularized! I noticed after round 6 it started blowing up and I was part of it; the round was so heartbreaking that even I shared the show to my friends who never heard of it
Interesting, thanks for the video. I first saw alien stage when I was on Twitter looking at an artist's work who used to post Hades fanart. Their profile has been overcome with alien stage fan art. Was curious but didn't think much of it, thought it was maybe a vtuber thing or a mobile game thing. Ended up on the vivinos youtube channel and was confused but also intrigued. Maybe it was like a vocaloid thing? Then I searched "what is alien stage" on youtube lol, hoping to find some explainer video and this was perfect. Going to watch all the videos now
When ALNST round 1 was posted, It was all over my youtube algorithm ( probably because i've seen some other works from vivinos ) and always wondered what it was all about since the videos werent long. When I finally watched it, I was bombarded with a video that genuinely made me so feel so sad, excited and in total awe because of the story, what the upcoming rounds will be like and also because of the amazing production with the music and animation. Despite alll the content being added up wouldnt even reach 30 minutes, the series is already good that I cant quite imagine it being anything more like an anime or a manhwa ( I guess I find a small pleasure in being updated on their community posts for small snippets/behind the scenes? ) Vivinos, Qmeng, the singers/VAs and the team all outdid themselves on this short story and I love that.
I have been a fan of Vivinos since they made sad creepy lesbian videos. That one video where the short ginger girl loses her girlfriend to suicide is still one of my favorites. And also the one with the betrayal of the blue haired glasses girl. But the one with the girl in the wheelchair and the long necked ghost girl was also SO good.
While it was left up for interpretation, I really think it wasn’t suicide, but straight up murder. She was badly beaten up when we saw her falling through the window. I suspect her bullies were on the rooftop with her and pushed her off the school building…
@@CursedWithAGift I have also considered that but I personally think it could also be possible that the girl really was beaten on the roof and she just couldn’t take it anymore
What a lovely review. I knew of Alien Stage since All-in (thanks to a FB page) but it truly blew up since round 6 (understandable, is a heartbreaking wonderful artwork) My feed also is full of IvanTill (not that I complain)
3:05 you really don’t know why? “I don’t need no men” ideology. All men are evil to them. At best men are “Wall-E” some gross trash related thing while all girls are bosses.
legit alien stage came out of no where for me. i remember seeing ivan till ship art on my twitter and I was like 'who tf are these characters I keep seeing??' it wasn't until I saw a video on twitter (round 6) that I fell down the rabbit hole and immediately watched every video, threw round 6 at like 3 of my friends, and proceeded to make a till rp account with my friend rping ivan for ship fluff in the matter of a week. i needed to cope. LOL it's only been a week at the time of writing this and I've listened to each song more than once every day. Obsessed is an understatement.
Two days ago, I was actually on a manga reading site and comments kept mentioning how much the main characters in a yaoi story looked like IvanxTill (they really don't though lol), curious I googled, ended on an Alien Stage Wiki for IvanTill that had a video of them kissing so I clicked it, and it was actually Round 6, now I'm obsessed with this show lol.
@@RyuLupraconix I thought I replied but I don't see it so hopefully I'm not replying to you twice! It's called "Admiration and Longing" on mangago. Honestly all I remember about it is judo lol.
