100 disagree,i love Chester, but I have never seen Linkin Park live, and I wanna hear the songs I know and love. Yes, I hate that I'll never hear Chester perform them live.Sad truth is life goes on and the band has the right to go on.
Thank you for reviewing them.....nice to have someone with your level of understanding sharing them.........I am just a former venue owner and later promotion and tour manager in my younger days.....But i recognized Dads amazing mixing ,arrangement and production skills......to think they did this with cell phone and a family computer and set up on front porch or in living room once a week...while raising 4 young children in the Philippines is amazing........ ...i first saw them because of this Hysteria video on Facebook over a year ago then saw they did SKA songs so i started writing with them...( i was in ska music business)....and 10 months ago they started the youtube channel.....their sound was so big i started trying to push them into Area Rock....Journey Bon Jovi Led Zepellin....they turned me into an EMO rock fan Diary of Jane...30 Seconds to Mars, Finch...Mom and Dad have some originals i think from prior band they were in.........I love when they do Mighty Bosstones and No Doubt...but Ska doesnt do big numbers....

I really don't understand why people want her to stop singing the old songs, I mean what the fuck are they suppose to play at the concerts? Man, all the stuff you said is exactly how I feel about it. Nothing against her. I think she's very talented, but part of ehat made those songs magic is Chester's ability to bear the depths of his being through his voice. Nobody. NOBODY could possible fill in for that. It just can't work. And especially now that he has done what he did, that act casts his work in an even richer personal stain, remdering the songs absolutely unique to him.

You are right. Nobody can fill in for Chester. I've heard the new songs as well as the concerts. For me, it is very clear that she isn't even trying to fill Chester's shoes. It is clear that she doesn't want to either. Seems like she is trying to be the Linkin Park version of Emily. She is there as a new member, not replacing one. It's going to take time, but it can work. They are just going to have to work hard. I enjoyed the two new songs so that is a trend in the right direction.

The lyrics are a cronicle of the hard life of a poor farm hand. How he's toiling during the week and then living it up with tobacco, drink and girls on Saturdays. How he has a beef with the priest because he doesn't pay attention in church on Sunday because he's so tired. The farm hand thinks the priest can sleep all Monday so he knows nothing of hard life. Then the farm hand grows old and dies and is worried for the meeting with God. In the song, the leapard jacket Tommy sang the part of God talking and assuring the farm hand that he'll be all right and that all his hard work is over and that now he can dress in white and finally rest.
Dismash becomes my favorite singer with Dan Vasc who is in another style although both have done opera. This young man is infinite. But this is the only song I prefer to listen to by Vinent Niclo. Less talented than Dismash but so much simpler. You shouldn't put too much into this style of song although I am for change and Dimash is be made for this. I love Dishmash.
