Quick review for a quick movie It was straight to the point, simple premise. Almost felt like a short film. Rain played an interesting role. Dijmon was amazing I’ve actually never seen the other movies. But people caught on to being quiet pretty quickly
For me the payoff was the romanticism of the biker gang culture and rebel culture portrayed well by hardy and butler. The big climax was enough payoff to cap off the themes of the plot.
I appreciate how you balance your critiques, acknowledging both the strengths and weaknesses of the film. Good look, bringing back 'Fun Facts' along with the addition of 'categories'. Great job and review.
I could've gone without Tiffany caddish and Joyner Lucas. those were the 1 or 2 people I was referencing that didn't really have purpose in the movie lol
I like that you highlight the directors because it helps you (me) to have someone’s body of work to refer to outside of the big names. Nolan, Spielberg, Bay
Facts bro, you’d be surprised at who has directed some of your favorite movies. There are so many good directors aside from the select few that get the most recognition.
The movie was pretty fast past. Not a lot of exposition. But I think that was the point. Not to get bogged down by the politics of the war it’s just here it is..
I agree bro, and I think I like it better that way. Didn’t really matter how it started, right vs left etc etc. “it’s happening and now what’s next?” Is the vibe I got from the movie
For someone like me as an outsider I wish there was more of his story rather than just 2 years. I felt afterwards I needed to look up more about him. Acting was solid though.
Excellent review sir. I reviewed this on my channel as well and had a great time. The sound and visuals were awesome. Subbed to your channel. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Thanks for the great review. I just want to correct something you said; King Hale and his nephew committed some of the murders, but not all of them. Most of the white people in this town were by and large the embodiment of evil.
Wish i wasn't a poor white fella living in the Chicago ghetto on disability otherwise id go see it💯 my latina/Native American wife also had diabetes at a young age & died a few months ago so it would be nice to go back to a theater in her memory
While I didn’t flat out love this movie, mostly from it being too long in my opinion. This was still a great movie. Loved the performances, especially DiCaprio and Gladstone, and the build up to the investigation (again, even if it took a little too much time to get there). I will not be surprised to see this win Oscars. And I think it certainly deserves to. Great review and keep making videos 👍
I thought it was toooo long and those scenes between LDC and RD were too long. The movie needed expert editing. Too many characters, I could barely keep up. Gladstone was very good. And the woman who played Anna, her sister. The savior of the movie was the FBI / Texas Ranger agent. When he came in the picture the movie really perked up for me.
An incredible movie that hits hard and keeps going. It rises up to have uplifting moments, but these highs are only high because of the depths that it takes you. That is to say you don't come out with a smile but a satisfaction and a realization that you have seen true art in a film format.
I live in Oklahoma, Ponca Tribe, just watch this 3-hour movie and usually 3 hours is too much but this was very good especially with not a lot of action, just the storytelling and shedding light on History that's been covered up even in Oklahoma still to this day was amazing to see on the big screen. Oklahoma has laws in place that state if a subject mattwr makes any kid of a certain race uncomfortable then it can't be taught in schools which is why this subject can't be taught in schools to this day. It is a law that I hope to see done away with in time as our state grows more diverse over the years
This movie was VERY good and shows JUST how inhumane some people can be. This is the most EVIL and diaboligical people I have EVER seen in a movie and the fact that it's TRUE History is even more horrific! I like your review of the movie keep up the good work!🤔👌🏾
