Nobody shows if there is a slight gap between the panel and the pain of the jeep, or do those spacers serve to create little gap on the back of the panel?
@@explorationoverland I just installed mine on both sides. And on both sides the bottom corners are touching the paint and I put few layers of electrical tape on the area that makes contact with the jeep panel. I didn’t want to take any chance and scratch them.
Two questions: 1. Knowing what you know now about the T4, had you known all the cons you listed, would you still buy it or look at something else? 2. When you said you waterproofed the tent, what product did you use? I am considering this T4 Overland Edition, but also considering the Wawona 6P-I love the Wawona’s large vestibule. Thoughts?
Ok, to answer your questions for you: 1) Yes, I would still buy it. Though it's has its falts in places and I can't seem to lift my big feet up high enough, it is still a very good tent. It's so simple to put up and take down, and it is spacious! I did look at many different tents before I got this one year back, and honestly, it seemed to fit my bill for what I needed better than the rest. 2) The product I use is called Silicon Waterguard. I get it from my local Walmart in the camping section. It has an orange cap. It works really well. It's never leaked on me yet! My overall thoughts on your two choices: Know I know very little about the Wawona 6P tent. But i would go with the T4. It involves not poles that you need to put into the tent, and it's up in less than 1 minute. My buddy just got the Overland Edition and used it on our latest trip, and he loved it. The tent stacks and rises that come with the tent were much stronger than mine, and it came with a footprint. But for me, I hate fighting with tent poles, and this tent makes setup quick and simple. Dare I say, not quite as fast as an RTT, but damn near as fast. Hope that helps! Cheers!

Because of the vertical angle of the walls, it seems to act like a much larger tent with much more useable interior space. And I’m all about simple! F51. That fuse only gets power when the Jeep is running. It is helpful at times not to forget to turn something off. I've had no issues with it ever put in that fuse spot

Yes, they do now and have since the end of 2023. This video was made before Gaia updated those features. I have not made an updated video with all the updates they did. May be a good idea!
Im a forester up in the Northeast. I’ve used a Zoleo for 3 years now. It has worked flawlessly It’s never not worked. It works in blizzards, monsoon rain storms. I’ve turned it on sitting on the dash of my truck parked inside my garage and it gets the satellite service. I won’t leave home without it.
I just got one of them but have not used it yet, I'm just worried that I won't have any heat source when it rains. We live in NE and we get a lot of rain during fall
I still think rooftop tents are overrated, and not enough people consider ground tents like the gazelle. It's a personal preference thing, but I worry that folks think they need a rooftop tent. They have trade-offs. With that said, I've had a gazelle for over 2 years and am pretty happy with it, but it is huge. Fits the two of us and a dog well, but it's a lot. I go with a heavy 3p backpacking tent sometimes instead due to space sometimes. The smaller tent doesn't catch as much wind either. I agree with your pros and cons, but I guy the corners out and use a tarp every time. They're good pros/cons for people to know.
Saxon is beautiful, and there’s a whole network of trails to explore up there. Red elephant hill is no joke. I always come up through Empire when wheeling that area
Sweet old 69- D100 👌🏻. I truly love those old Dodge trucks and I have one just like it. For about 20+ years I’ve owned a 1969 Dodge D-100 Sweptline old family farm truck ( not my familys but that’s what it was a few years back before I got it , I drove past them all one day after I bought it and they were all waving like crazy and I didn’t know them 🤷♂️ so I just smiled my best grin 😁 and waved back 😄 and wondered 🤔 who were they? A few weeks later on I talked to the guy I bought it from and he explained that as far as he knew it was their Grampa’s old farm truck and they were excited that it was still around and driving! 😊 made me feel great as well when I learned about its history. Oddly enough even before I saw them all that day and found out where it came from… this truck and me have always had a good vibe feel to it , I even thought I could feel Grampa’s happy spirt riding shotgun smiling 😊 away in the passenger seat beside me when I drive it sometimes 😁 ) with the big old farmer bar style mirrors and all! 🛻 😄. 78,000 original miles 318 2bbl , 727 automatic original transmission but it’s been fully rebuilt about 8 years ago ( the kick down linkage isn’t hooked up and I haven’t bothered because I seem to like it that way 😄 so I just do most of the shifting like it’s a 3 in the tree 🌲 even though it’s actually an automatic on the column 🤭 and I do like the slight exhaust cackle on the downshifts at about 2500 rpm when it’s just a bit higher in the RPM’s than it would normally down shift itself ! 😄sounds great even with a rusted out 2 into a single pipe with big ass old muffler exhaust! Mines radio delete as well… I just listen to the V8 symphony 😊👌🏻when I drive it. It even has factory power steering , that’s something I still have to rebuild but does have it and if I remember correctly I read somewhere 1969 was the first year it was offered as an option. Even Armstrong style it’s not too bad at all really if you’ve driven a few old 50’s, 60’s and 70’s cars before. Original drum brakes ( all rebuilt) pretty sure it’s the never repainted original Seafoam green paint, it’s pretty thin at this point in time and weathered through in some places due to its age and sitting in the sun ☀️ for years here there ( or whatever green it was called in that shade that year ) old original black steel rims ( I painted them black they were white when I bought it) bought new Goodyear rubber and I’m running the old vintage factory dog dish hubcaps and a bench seat in pretty good shape really ( I have bucket seats and a console shift transmission and all of the floor tunnel sheet metal and other parts that would make it work even though it never came that way from my totalled 79 Roadrunner and a spare 360 cop car engine out of a Police package 1989 Ramcharger if I feel like going that far with a newer motor and the interior with a buckets and a console shifter later on, but for now it’s surprisingly almost 100% original ( except the old 2bbl carburetor it came with and old style 69 water pump which I still have and it’s got a remanufactured old one on it. Very hard to find these pumps nowdays! Took me 5 years to get a new one for it that’s exactly like the old ones, where the outlet is on the opposite side ) It’s a really cool truck to me just the way it is. 👍🏻) I haven’t had much $ that I could spend on it the last couple of years or time to do anything with it for that matter…. I have a cool 2007 Jeep Wrangler nowdays to drive daily, But I just went out to where I have the D-100 stored at a buddy’s farm and realized just how much I miss driving it around ! What a fun cool simple old truck that gets the thumbs up from everyone wherever you drive it. People constantly ask to buy it and it’s never been for sale even one time in over 20 years! 🤣 Nope! Sorry no matter what happens I just can’t sell it … After owning it for almost 25 years now it’s a part of my soul… and it’s almost time to get back to working on it when I can. I’m looking forward to it actually, I can easily have it running and driving again as I drove it frequently for a few years time here and there only about 5 years ago. Just have to flush out the tank and and fuel lines and then put some good old Chevron 94 high test gas in it for the first tank or 2 ( just because! It doesn’t really need that grade and will run on anything just fine but after a few years of not driving it I feel like spoiling it a bit 😄). maybe pop the distributor and turn the oil pump with a drill and long Allen stem to get some oil in the heads first, pop a tablespoon of Marvel Mystery Oil in the plug holes, crank it over by hand for a few revolutions with a big socket wrench, let it sit for a couple days and then give it a good boost and a little shot of ether and I have no doubt it will fire right up. It will smoke 💨 and tick a bit very lightly for about 5 to 10 min and then smooth right out to where you can’t even barely hear it running at all! The original motor is in very good shape 😊 It already has done it a number of times over the years when I had to park it for a while, and it always fires up quite easily , ready to go 👍🏻. Still needs new headers ( or similar old original style manifolds like what’s on it now, I haven’t decided yet) , a new custom dual exhaust with some really nice exhaust tips poking out the back or just in front of the rear tires? for the first time ever in its life😄 ( I’d like some of the re-pops of the really cool looking old school roadrunner/ GTX style slotted factory tips from 1970-74?) , bodywork and then paint ( never liked the old green colour all that much 😄) I’m thinking it just turned 55 this year and its old and in remarkable shape really and it deserves a special paint job after surviving that long. As luck 🍀 would have it my lifelong best and oldest friend is a total Dodge car nut just like me and he’s also a crazy good autobody and paint guy 👍🏻who has worked on multi million dollar 💵 show cars🥇👌🏻( one of them was a #1 Riddler Award Winner 🏆 🤯 and another one couple of years after that was a Great 8 contender for the same award ) To my way of thinking it’s been waiting and surviving it’s whole life to really look bad ass with a killer paint job!… maybe gloss black Black top 1/2 with slightly off cream white bottom ( think Tuxedo 🤵♂️ style paint). under the body line trim. My other custom paint option that I’ve thought about for a few years now is Viper 🐍 Metallic Snakeskin Green with all black accessories certain trim pc’s blacked out chrome or just polished metal and black bumpers and mirrors with a polished grill and very careful new black shadow type detail paint on it 🤔 in certain spots like when it was a new grill. Still can’t decide if I’m going to put the dual snorkel hood scoop on it or not ! ( I do own one of those scoops I picked up years ago.) It’s like the one you would see at the drag strip on an early 70’s dart, duster, roadrunner etc. and it looks bad ass sitting in place but I’m just not committed to cutting the original hood 😄 I might have to get a 2nd spare hood and do it to that non original hood with Viper Snake skin green sides and flat black stipe over the scoop section on the hood body lines and also paint the original hood at the same time and colour as the rest of the truck body as is with no scoop. Wow what a cool adventure I have did a lot of camping in my life but never anything of this magnitude and then alone that takes a lot motivation to go deep in the back roads of Arizona and tons of effort to accomplish all that's involved, the average camper at a campground with electric showers don't have a clue what's it's like to boon dock go on a ADVENTURE like you did, you are a true explorer young man, fantastic video!

I had a 68 D200 short bed, 340 engine, SM435 Trans, divorced Dana 205 transfer case, Dana 60 with posi rear axel, the weak point was the front axel Dana 44 closed knuckle with drum brakes. It sat on 35" tires. I loved the truck. I sold it to buy a jeep, an absolute regret. Iconic vehicle from the day. It was one of most offroad used vehicle I have owned. Suspension was stiff, but that's why we aired down the larger tires.
There are no longer new "Hybrid" FRS/GMRS radios. If you're buying a new radio, you will buy either a "FRS" radio or a "GMRS" Radio. A few comments, first of all the coverage of the warranty and the refresh program is fantastic. But there is a few negatives in this video, the object avoidance is not included in the Mini 3 and only the Mini 3 Pro. Yes, it does have land sensors, but not object avoidance. This is a very manual drone, which is great for learning. Did you film the the highlights in the video, if so they are fantastic and great work. I'm going to start uploading my drone coverage. Overall very informative.
Zach, I was watching the playback of when we did the T-33 site on Bunce School Road. You hit a huge branch earlier on in the trail. I’ll try and find the time stamp on my video and you can see where the branch flips up and hits your front drive shaft. I just went back and watch the video. It’s right around the 9:10 mark in my video. It was literally, just as we started the trail.
