When they dressed me and they put me on a plane to Memphis Well, I never got to see Elvis I just sweated it out in a hotel room But I think the king would've understood Why I never made it to Graceland Bathroom towels were cool against my head I pressed my forehead to the floor And prayed for a trapdoor I've been here many times before But I've never made it to Graceland And if I make it to the morning I should've come with a warning And if I make it to the stage I'll show you what it means to be sad Well, pick me up in New Orleans Pinned in a bathroom stall Pick me up above my body Press my corpse against the wall I told the band to leave without me I'll get the next flight And I'll see you all with Elvis If I don't survive the night If I make it to the morning I should've come with a warning And if I make it to the stage I'll show you what it means to be sad And after every tour, I swear I'll quit It's over boys, now this is it But the call, it always comes And it sounds like children Begging to be born But, oh, I guess I got my wish Anything, anything, anything but this If I make it to the morning I should've come with a warning And if I make it to the stage I'll show you what it means to be sad Oh, you know I'm still afraid I'm still crazy and I'm still scared But if I make it to the stage I'll show you what it means To be spared, to be spared To be spared, to be spared To be spared
Next time First Aid Kit is in Nashville they should have a session with the ladies in the Castellows. Will be like Beach Boys but with 5 amazing ladies🤘🤘🤘
These wonderful sisters always sing from the heart. You can see it here, in a song they didn't write, from a long time ago, from a country they didn't know. It amazes me that these Swedes have embraced American music so deeply. And their concerts are incredible, particularly their "Palimino" tour. Such energy, such dedication, such audience appreciation. It doesn't get any better than these two. Concert version, same night. These two do their homework. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SIcuVzFbo74.html
There’s another video of the same performance. Has the full audio the vid is just from farther away. It’s titled Change the Locks by King Princess & Florence Welch @ FTX Arena on 9/24/22 in Miami, FL posted by user mc954concerts23.
Truly, thank you for posting these songs, absolutely FAKtastic to be able to enjoy these concerts from Australia. Cheers and J+K thank you both so much for the great performances 👍👍👍
Thank you for posting another version of their beautiful song, the world needs to hear this! Today has been First Aid Kit Day in my house & God I needed it bad, so much healing power, love your channel! 💗🎶💗🔥💗😊🙏
This is incredible, will have to fix the volume drop in post but nbd, that's what Audacity is for. Is this a cover or are they writing new songs already for the follow-up to Palomino?
Great track, FAKtastic, i just can't fault the sisters, there an inspiration to any one who wants to have a go, and they now make so many others happy with their music👍👍👍
Dreamy. Normally I don’t care for visual shots that only capture a single performer but this video is different somehow. There is something special in seeing Klara up close in a determined but carefree performance. The sound quality is great and really shows off Klara and Johanna’s singing.
I and three others traveled from Wisconsin to see FAK at the Ryman. I was the devotee and the others along for the journey. As a five year fan I first discovered them as laptop background when they performed at Coachella in 2018. Coachella broadcasts the entire event on the web and i remember turning around to see who was performing this sunshiney beautiful music. I was enthralled. Shiney dresses and "King of the World". Man they were wonderful and so cool. Five years forward after hours of video watching I was at the iconic Ryman. They appeared and my dreams had come to life. I was filled...the music, the sound and visual production and Johanna and Klara. The audience response was so wonderful and heartwarming too. I'm 67 and a music lover and concert attendee of over 50 years. I feel so fortunate to once again be filled with Firt Aid Kit's music. A thousand, no a million thanks. And I post this here, this little corner of the FAK world cuz of the Ryman connection.
We were out in the queue by the street when this was happening. We could hear Klara and Johanna, I sang along with them a bit. Another premiere version of America is done by Yes. Check it out.
