Super fast turning, loads of power...... even though kite is lightweight it's more tuned for the upper wind range.... ate up the ultra strong gusty conditions great!.... nice having the lighter weight for travel ... I give it two thumbs up... I loved the ride!
Drifts very well.... I'm 185 and surfboard is the 5'4" Core Ripper..... found it drifts very nicely but upwind ability definitely not as good as my Nexus or XR..
I put the cam rig line mount about 3ft below the hi-Y point.... loops are ok but usually don't loop greater than 3x.... I also use the GoPro wide lens mod ($99) which levels the horizon no matter what tack I'm on .... like having my own drone looking down on me :)
I found the Best wind for twin-tip to be about 15-25 knots... on the lower wind range best with my surfboard ... beauty of the Nexus is it is super playful and fun..while jumping it doesn't float like the XR.. but for loops and drifting on a wave it's the bomb...
Love your stuff, I live in goleta and want to learn to kite, are there kite surfing schools in SB? I might have to travel to find kite school. Anyway love your local SB videos, inspiring. Thanks
Thanks!... no kite schools in SB but I Do suggest heading to Long Beach and hook up with So Cal Kiteboarding..awesome crew, lessons with all the gear, good learning wind and beach...take 3 lessons then your on your own to soar!
