All the interviews from award winning broadcaster Simon Wilson, currently on Voice Fm - voicefmradio.co.uk
Frank Turner - I have done A LOT of interviews over the years. As tours roll by, certain faces become familiar, and it's possible to build something of a rapport with someone over time. Every time I'm in the south of the UK, for a good few albums now, I get interviewed by Simon Wilson (for Voice FM). It's always a total blast, funny, engaging, surprising, insightful, silly.
I like your questions, they seemed genuine rather than the usual ones they get about "Chasing Cars" and Greys Anatomy. I also think Johnny's "musical polyamory" answer was quite hilarious. Thanks for sharing!
Great interview, again. Really looking forward to my first trip West in September to Toronto for LE7 and The Hives in New York But I am now even more excited to hear Frank talk about Japan, a country I have wanted to go to forever and it was on my 'to do' list next year. If only it could coincide 😉
Always love your interviews/game shows with Frank. Great entertainment and got to find out who’s supporting him at Ally Pally. The Meffs being my favourite band atm We were coming down to the Southampton show, would have said hello, but had to change plans and go to Birmingham next evening instead. What a show! Bloody boiling hot 🥵 too See you sometime
Great interview with my favourite vocalist. To find you interviewing Frank & then clicking on your channel to find this there has made you my new favourite interviewer!! Great work Simon
Yeeeesss! Frank Turners music is so totally out of my realm of style but I can't get enough! It will definitely be playing at my wedding reception! Can't wait to wait the interview!
One of the best gigs ive ever been to was back in like 2008/9 in edinburgh. Friend a few days before couldnt make it as he was ill, so i thiught fuck it ill go myself. Crowd was amazing, met some fun folks that i still hang out with to this day
Fuck yeah! Love you both so it's nice to hear a great meeting of minds chat. Cahir btw I'm the random Irish guy who shouts at you as you tech at shows across Europe. At least someone can pronounce your name!
