As far as Heihachi being damage control, idk about that. Most DLC is planned a year in advance & takes months to develop. Of course they could switch DLC order or expedite the process.
The biggest problem with Tekken 8 is that it's not Tekken. Tekken has always been about defense, now the blue ranks don't know what they're doing. Everyone just presses attack and that's it. This is the end of the dance They don't know what spacing Is anymore. Now it's the plus frames that count. Offensives are rewarded to such an extent that most don't play like they did in Tekken. I am not a pro and I do not aspire to be. But Tekken has always been special, but now in the previous Tekken, people at such ranks They were thinking while playing. Now they don't . Defense is actually punished because it will take you at least twice as long to reach the same rank playing defensively. I don't want to play Tekken where the guy keeps attacking and if he loses I don't give him a rematch. And considering that two mistakes are enough, you literally have a better chance by constantly attacking. Rage art and heat smash They shouldn't be in the same game at the same time. I think rage art It is an evolution Heat Smash System and I don't know why they gave both versions 🤯
Hey. I love tekken and the number of people playing this version triumphs any other. I’m not sure where you’re pulling your metrics from, but there are huge events too which never took place during the life cycle of T7. Just my two cents. People were bored of T7. Nobody wanted another 5 years of it. People saying they are ultra defensive and don’t get rewarded is complete bs. I’m just a tekken king right now but I think a lot of the crying comes from people who were never really very good at the game.
@@thatpurpleghost lol, pulling my metrics??, I just showed you in the video bro. Plus, people say all the time in my comment section that they’re quitting the game. Come on, look at the comment section on this video bro🤣🤣🤣💯
They had already announced the well before his reveal that the fall update was going to add a story chapter. Considering the cutscenes environments and the narrative, doesn't seem like he was just thrown together to appease fans. Looks like they've been thinking about this for some time.
I don’t think he was just thrown in either, I think he was going to be revealed at a later time in Tekken 8’s tenure. But due to the backlash that the game is getting, they pushed up his return 💯💯
Now while I'm not giving up Tekken 8 I know many streamers who are higher rank than I am (I only just got Tenryu) by a significant stretch both quitting the game for good and rage quitting to preserve points. I embrace the BS that is in Tekken 8 and the BS characters I am learning both defense and offense for this game though I understand that it is dramatically different from that of other fighting games including older Tekken versions. There is cheating in Tekken 8 though it does not effect me directly since I don't do that it ruins the atmosphere of the game for everyone involved. I dislike saying the number 1 reason I'm loyal to Tekken has to do with Reina's existence but that is in fact the case regardless of how much shade is cast at the character.
So when it comes to Tekken I was wrong, for the first time, EVER! I did say there's no way he'll be back because of how he died. But I got to thinking about how he died and I definitely have some strong theories on how he's back so let me know if you'd like to know Dee. Impact wise I feel he's one of those characters that is just simply too iconic. Even if you don't use him you still have a love for heihachi. It's just that simple. Why not marduk Dee? Lol!
@DeeallthewayG Lol yeah I could see his tackle being unbreakable in heat for instance. Anna is the most appropriate choice right now. So when it comes to heihachis death the first thing you have to think about is WHERE he died. This took place at the Devils Pit. Well where's that? In hell. And if there's one thing we know about the devil is that he likes to resurrect Mishima family members. Now why would he resurrect heihachi though? Heihachi hated the devil and was the one who ultimately wants to destroy the devil. Well the answer to that is actually quite simple. The devil lost his control and power over kazuya after fighting Angel jin and therefore needed a new host. I still have another theory other than this but that theory I just explained I would say is the most likely one.
Heat was a huge mistake, tekken is a game for skilled players and dumbing down its gameplay this much takes away its appeal factor also the screen freeze when heat activated in the middle of the game kills the flow of play and that’s really annoying.
The big reason Dee is because of the characters. Bring back characters that people actually want and they'll play. Tekken 7 had multiple characters coming out per season, why is that not the case? You can't really make an excuse. Otherwise the games just fine, other than characters that are still somewhat broken.
Real talk Dee, hopefully Jin and Kazuya don't retrieve that devil blood dna and they go without it, I wanna see what happens when they continue their lives without them, progress already ruined with Heihachi being alive (idc if he's in the game, he can be in the game, I just wanted him dead in the story, that's all), and how Jin was using the Mishima technique, he's not really supposed to use it, that's a core part of his character, him abandoning the technique back in Brisbane, Australia, in Tekken 4, is what made his pursuit of Kazuya have a little more meaning, and he also doesn't need it, in his bio, it's said he liked his mother's teachings, (I'm assuming in her martial art), and he was efficient in beating Hei and Kaz with his new technique. I don't like none of that.
The problem with Tekken 7 and now worse with 8 is combo creep. The FGC as a whole is always like oooo, hype man look at that sick combo! But what they don't realize is that these 60%+ damage combos are what killed the franchise. Its also why Soulcalibur keeps getting worse. Fighting games use to be about... well fighting, mixups, the right move for the right job. Now its like, back the hell up, bait a wiff, do your macro-able combo. If you do that again, you win the round. That is not good game design. What we need is more ways to get OUT of combos. ANY time your character hits the ground, you should be able to tech, and that too could be punished if a opponent exploits that. Make more thought go into this. Right now its just zombie Tekken. (and no, not taking about the creatively bankrupt idea of brining Heihachi back)
If you're hitting a bump in Tekken. Play mk1 lol you'll be back harder than ever. I literally just jumped onto mk1 for some quick matches and I immediately jumped back to tekken.
I don't recommend playing any fighting game from this generation. Every. Single. One. is filled to the brim with comeback mechanics, neutral skip moves, and largely offense oriented gameplay. Play and older fighting game like Tekken 5 DR and you'll NEVER come back to Tekken 8
@@DeeallthewayG I always wanted them to add 1,2,3 look to the Tekken shop. Would be cool. It's pretty interesting how Mike Hollow pointed out in the Heihachi trailer, the man who walked away from the explosion is baldy, no Hehachi hair.
Respectfully, I think people just like to complain and have a hard time adjusting. I think there’s the kind of players that are always gonna come up with an excuse when things don’t go their way. It happens in every game, in COD if someone gets killed, immediately it’s either because of lag or the game didn’t register their shots somehow, or it’s because of cheating. People seem to forget that the same kind of complaining happened in Tekken 7 as well. Tekken 7 was widely regarded as a major disappointment when it first released. Now, it’s revered. I’ve come to learn that if you’re enjoying a game, just play it and drown out the negative comments. No one if forced to play the game, if you hate it, quit. But they won’t, and even if the developers implement or change the things they want, they’ll find something new to complain about. Tekken 8 is great, are there problems with it? Yes, of course. The game just released, it took years for Tekken 7 to get to a decent place. People forget easy.
Tekkens flaw is it has no influx of new players. I played in Tekken 5 ressurection and im a fairly quick to learn gamer. I wasnt great but generally did good (without cheesing endless air combos) That is. Good defensive player just lacking the air combos for ever. Since i didnt spoil myself with youtube. Now in Tekken 5 R, you could get up more than half the ranks and people where fresh, skills of all levels, and then comes the general good players. Now since i played T7 and so on, from the very beggining, you are put with top level people literally on the first rank. Shows lack of new players. And there wont be new players if they vs High level players almost every game.
Heres a fix; They only keep Heat Burst which is the Rage drive system - using up your rage when low on health. If it will kill opponent then it automatically performs a rage art cutscene. Win-win.
Does not make sense. You do know it takes time to make the story mode. It was all planned before released. As you can tell some stages in Tekken 8 has not been in story mode yet.
Quitter loses points, staying person wins points easy fix..the game balance is hot garbage however, my friends quit and they were at least Tekken King, I also quit because I personally think the game is terrible. They chose an abominable and insulting time to to say 'yeah we ain't balancing for a while get DRAGed enjoy your boring tournaments'
You know what I realize the timing of the trailer then the MK1 Khaos reigns release date are the same. Now I felt this will give Tekken 8 a boost for everyone interesting but MK1 I don't know man homie that one remain unchanged
I love Heihachi Mishima and I miss the Tekken 2 days where he looked like Laurence Fishburne lol! I thought he had a proper send off, but Namco got other plans...I hate the fact other characters like Wang and Ogre are dead but the tough old son of a 🤬 is alive and kicking.
Like you said I don’t really favor 2D characters but Eliza I do want her to return due to her being a cool tekken character still. She was the reason I played T7 miss her 🙌🏾
@@DeeallthewayG matter of fact,It will be amazing if the new dlc characters is season 2 were all the original Masters of all the fighting styles, that it can become the old generations vs new generations, with heihachi and other powerful old master fighters from the past when haheichi was kid so it will be awesome to see other old legendary fighters the have not been seen before during the in between stories of Tekken itself.
He just going to be another dumb ass character doing outrageous heat moves that takes away all of your health that you can’t do anything about and cheap ass chip and special moves that you only have to mash a button to to use and react fast then his opponents. A lot of cheap ass wins. More trash unbalances.
What will heihachi bring? Let's see....+ On block for everything.. cheap spamable lows could put you in negative frame's with demon breathe flash combos that is are unpunishable cheap overhead ax kick that if he catches you with this it's a easy juggle starter retreat-able shadow steps that can get outta the way really fast his counters that will break the game.. boring ass old man that will add to the game cheapness geez imagine his heat smash and the damage out put he's going to get oh my Lord 😮 garbage broken day one character unbalanced like the rest.
The DLCs before this we're all not broken but Heihachi will be the first broken DLC. His heat smash is definitely going to be that move where he hits the ground with his hands and everything gets thrown up. Plus it being a low 😂😂
Homie is repeating himself alot n saying quick match is good just isnt true im orange rank so im pretty ass and get matched up against tekken kings, mighty rulers etc in quick match. 95% in quick match im put up against players with much higher elo than me and i get stomped rank is fine bc im put up against ppl in my skill lvl. I do agree that the game can be mentally draining tho but what works for me is taking a break for s couple of hours snd come back when im confident and mentally ready
@@DeeallthewayG no not everyone repeats 💀😂 themselves but since u dont like taking criticism even tho i agree with some of your points and want to be an asshole then suck a dick you are also nitpicking 😂💯
Forced heat 50/50, chip damage, rage arts, heat dash that takes you to the wall for free mix-ups, power crush spam that beats practicaly everything, ch throws. I am fed up with 8 it's not even as defensive as 7, let alone 6. It's simply not fun win or lose
Honestly, they should make players choose between Heat or Rage Art. If you use Heat, you don't get the Rage Art, and vice versa. Having to worry about both of them is kind of suffocating, and characters having unique power-up functions on top of that only exacerbates these problems. Up until a certain point, it's way too easy to suffocate the opponent and turn it into a one-player game. It's just way too many "unga bunga" comeback mechanics and it makes things considerably less fun. Even if you win through using them, they don't always feel like earned victories.
