merciless is easier, especially if you know weaknesses and can do crits. If you know how to play a megaten game, play on merciless but expect more megaten bs. (such as full party wipes)
@@JabbingQuirker Supposedly that's not true in P3R specifically. Merciless has no weakness multiplier, only a damage multiplier. Compared to normal mode, you take 1.7x the damage, and deal 0.6x the damage.
I play on merciless, its easy in megaten terms but the damage you do is much lower than the merciless in p5. So it is really a hard difficulty this time
@@hellotherelololwell yeah, in 5 you did 3times the dmg in weaknesses, and technicals, even crits I believe so it was a high risk high reward so long as you never let the enemy attack you where good.
I’ve been having a good time with Hard difficulty. I think it starts presenting a real challenge later on. Not too hard to where I’m not having a good time though.
party AI + Stamina is really hard. When play P3 oh this game exciting and keep dying multiple times because ignore the stamina. when go to P4 it was really easy than P3.
Nah commands were overhated. At times annoying but when u analyse enemies the AI is fine for the most part. Nonetheless i played the direct commands mod coz i find it more satisfying
@@Seven69297 I think the most annoying was, we can't make the AI to buff first or even trying to defend when we know the boss gonna kill make move. but for me the stamina was brutal. unlike p4 or p5 when you can clear in 1 day, p3 need a lot of days to reach the upper furthermore with not be able to save at most part is annoying for me.
The bosses in P3 are much more pattern based than other games. Once you understand how they work they are easy regardless of difficulty. I honestly die more on random enemies than bosses.
yk you can just look up the enemies name on google and find all their weaknesses, every jrpg is easy if you go onto google, they even give you recommended party for each fight, along with which moves to use also when did you play portable, when you were a child, or did you know less about the game when you played portable compared to current day? this all factors into the difficulty of the game, as with reload i understand the mechanics of persona, and always fuse strong personas before big boss fights, which obviously makes the game easier.
I started on merciless and so far it feels like normal, or even easy, compared to portable's hardest difficulty. Up to emperor/empress boss didn't need to grind at all, not even once, and that scares me 😐
I think so too but I also played p3p and the original so I already know what to expect for the most part. I assume the same goes for most people who are playing it lol. Not saying they didn't add things to make the grind easier but yeah knowing what to expect ahead of time is a huge advantage
@@Seven69297 I actually don't mind it, I burned down on p3p and got really bored grinding in p4g, but the merciless in p5r and p3r has just the right pace for me to enjoy some mass destruction once a month for an hour and then continue romancing cute anime girls
@mvgreen4509 personal preference i guess. I just don't draw any satisfaction from an rpg when it's mind numbingly easy, the social aspects felt so much more rewarding when you try hard on dungeons
I dont think the game is easier. I think the game just gives you so much customization that a lot of people go into fights with insane or above average builds that the bosses cant keep up.
Even I as a noob think this game got easier. A lot. Through taking the tiredness option you can grind daily in tartarus. Through the High Arcana Cards you can easily get an EXP boost. even by choosing personas you already have in your group, you cann grind up personas. I'm someone who plays games on very easy mode because of story. And even there I struggle in some ways from time to time. But there is no struggle in P3 Reload. P3 Reload fighting system is like a walk through a park.
The "Baton Pass" also makes It too easy. Back then, unless You do research beforehand, You can't loop the all out attack due to the limited move pool every character have. And don't get Me started on the OG one, where You can't control other party members, due to Them having Their own AI. A stupid one, if I might add.
its absolutely easier. i've been underlevelled for a lot of fights, going into floor bosses on hard with low SP purely with the intention of scouting weaknesses and still coming away with a convincing win. the new systems like shift/theurgy are interesting and i don't mind them being here, theres just not enough challenge on the enemies' side to balance that stuff out
You can't with Merciless. You have to pick it and it locks it in. If you pick hard and want to go to Merciless you have to restart. Same with Merciless mode. Your locked in. You can't change once you start it. Easy to Hard you can change whenever
This on hard difficulty I assume, because in normal this reaper don't deal dmg. Man got them op persona setups, I will try to become like u in my new game plus
