OM. Understanding the Vedic tradition is like explaining the taste of honey just with words to one who has never tasted it. Soo subtle is its culture and value that at first glance it doesn't make much of sense. But when you adhere faithfully, it eventually reveals its supreme secret and immense potentiality that it offers to the whole of mankind. This being the case, we, at Mahastro, with earnest intention, strive to bridge this difficult gap by sharing the most profound knowledge on earth in the most simplest way possible. Join us and get to know The eternal way of life, the essence of the Vedic System called 'Sanatana Dharma' alias 'Hinduism' through our Apps, Posts, RU-vid, and other social handles. Mahastro - Bridging Vedic Tradition
Please do not say Lord (house of Lord) say भगवान, don't be shy Not Rama रामा, say राम Not Krishna कृष्णा , say कृष्ण Not mantra, say मंत्र Please 🙏otherwise meaning changes.
Lord Kṛṣṇa recited the Śatarudrīyam/Śrī Rudram Hymn every morning to worship Lord Śiva: Vasudeva said, ''I shall recite to thee the good that I have acquired and the fame that I have won through the grace of that high-souled one. Verily, I shall discourse to thee on the topic, after having bowed unto Kapardin. O king, listen to me as I recite to thee that Śatarudrīyam hymn which I repeat; with restrained senses, every morning after rising from bed. The great lord of all creatures, viz., the Grandsire Brahman himself, endued with wealth of penances, composed those Mantras, after having observed especial penances for some time. O sire it is Śankara who created all the creatures in the universe, mobile and immobile. There is no being that is higher, O monarch, than Mahadeva. Verily, he is the highest of all beings in the three worlds. There is no one who is capable of standing before that high-souled Being. Indeed, there is no Being in the three worlds that can be regarded as his equal” ~ Mahābhārata, Anuśasana Parva, Dana Dharma Parva, Chapter 145 (BORI CE)
Dear Srivatsa, we haven't catered this app to iPhone yet and it might not take place in near future to be honest due to time, resources constraints. So request you to check this in any Android device. It's totally free. Thanks and God bless.
Can you please post more videos on importance of different tithis, nakshatras, must do sandhya shlokams. This will help us revive the dormant and forgotten values and practices
Dear Aishwarya, Due to some unavoidable personal commitments we couldn't do videos continuously. Starting from 2024, by god's will we should be making videos. We'll take in your wish list also and do it in order. May God bless you all.
Dear user, Happy to see your interest in reciting Sri Rudram. In mantra form, yes, you need proper guidance. It is more or less like handling a risky tool without knowing how to use it. But if you wish to recite the same in shloka form, you can start straight away. Find the link in the pinned comment or description. God bless you all.
Very happy to see your comment. Unfortunately for some time now, we are not able to make videos continuously. But very soon we will continue. Until then practice sanatana Dharma. May God bless you all.
I have a doubt, pls clarify. In trilokya mangala Surya kavacha it's said at last without knowing this kavach even if we chant Surya nama for a million years no power will be obtained. So no benefits of Surya nama alone?
Dear Aishwarya, Happy to know. Indulge yourself in this Vedic tradition once in a while.. it will give you immense value for life. And share this knowledge with other good souls. May God bless you all to walk in the right path.
You are so nice to explain the very essence of Sree Rudram,. I bow down to you for sharing the valuable information to the Society. Thank you thanks a lot. Before concluding, one small request, it would be great if you would have share Rudra mantra at the end of this video. If possible, please edit the video and re share it. Thx. Jai Gurudeva Datt!💐
Dear Dhanu, Thank you for your feedback. May God bless you. And regarding your request, we'll work on it and share it at the end of the video in future. Ram Ram.
Dear Bindu Gupta, Sure. Why not. It's very good to have Tulsi as Prasad from Krishna temple once it is offered to the lord. Even without offering also it is healthy to have a little everyday. It has many medicinal values. So only it is called the queen of herbs.
Shri Rudham is precious, but we must visualise the Shiva linga and repeat the Rudham. Swami says as follows "the linga is a symbol of the universal into which all particulars merge and from which all particulars emerge. The linga is an elipse without beginning and end and the full form of reality" Shankara/Shiva never destroys but only merges and emerges. We must stop using English concepts to explain the Hindu religion. Shiva is not a destroyer , but one where all in the universe merges and emerges.
As per purana Surya came with 7 ashwas and one chakraa ratha along with Aruna to kill Mandehaasura. Purana stroies are always arthavaada... meaning it may not be historical events but definitely there would be inner meaning to it. Going by that madheha is our own lethargic attitude one, chakra is one samvatsara, 7 ashwas are our 7 spiritual centres, therefore if we do suryaardhana via Gayathri japa madheha would be destroyed and our kundalini shakti will be realised by which we will know they self as well as supreme god. I.e aathma saakshathkara and paramathma as well ....
Dear bhavesh raj soni, Whether you are a brahmin or a Vaishya, the first and foremost step to recite any Vedic mantra is to get initiated. This is called saṃskārā. It is more of like making your physical body fit to receive the Vedic mantra and make use of it. This is "The traditional way". The rishi's who gave those Vedic mantras gave these saṃskārā and asked us to perform these saṃskārās. upanayana is one of them. We have many saṃskārās for many stages in our life like garbhādhānā, pumsavanā, jātakarma (conception, birth of a child, etc..). These saṃskārā make one fit for that act and makes him fit to receive the intended result that are unseen to the naked eye. Otherwise called "adhrista". All are interlinked. Even if you are brahmin, one has to undergo the ritualistic saṃskārā given by the rishis to get proper result. You may ask why not recite mantras without saṃskārā(initiation). You may go on to recite the mantras without saṃskārā. No comments for that :). But if you ask what's our take on this. We just share here is "what actually the shastra says, its tradition and its secret". Not to correct everybody. The right will learn it right. To understand better, it's more of like, why not drive a bike without driving license. You can, but without proper training it is not safe. Even if you are safe and skilled, the authorities wouldn't approve you driving. And also, it doesn't appeal right to the righteous. This driving example is given just to give you an idea. Certainly, it is not as easy as driving a bike. :) Also, since you are a vaishya, you can still find some knowledgeable guru to get yourself initiated and start learning the mantras. But, if your intention is to please Lord shiva, you can always praise the lord with shatarudrīya stotras that we have already shared that you can recite without any initiation. That also gives the same effect which are approved by the rishis. May Lord shiva bless you all.
www.mahastro.com/sri-rudram-namakam-chamakam-rudri-path-greatness-importance-and-benefits-from-all-itihasa-puranas/ Go to that page and find the stotram at the bottom of that page.. choose any one that you like. God bless you dear. May the best happen to you lord Shiva's Grace.
Dear Ravi, Sure. We are working towards making more videos. Sometimes the research goes deep 😊 when we look for the right source. What to do, since we have come long way off the track, the message should be backed with more concrete source. Satisfying to see the comments that it reaches the people with faith & reason. God bless you all.
@@Mahastro whatever presented in this video is based on research work done by the Presenter. It is excellent. i request, that you may even give full word for word meaning, the dimensions in which these can be interpreted etc. Probably like a upanyasam. There is not much Upanyasam like on Sri Rudram. If you can think of these elaborations in our mothertounge Tamil. WoW it is Extraordinary. Pranams.
Happy to receive such feedback.. we strive our best and do it as a duty to bring out the satvik aspect in our viewers. And feel it as a service to the supreme. Sometimes we are able to touch their heart and sometimes not. All his will.. ☺️🙏
