I understand everything: the pilots are highly trained, the controllers in the tower as well... But I will NEVER get on a plane that is supposed to land at this airport. NEVER! Why? Because there are a hundred thousand things that can go wrong and I definitely do not want to be in a fuselage sliding down such a steep mountainside. This airport was built against all common sense principles!
De espectacular no tiene nada eso fue normal dejen de informar pendejadas que no valen la pena el avión no estaba en emergencia ud de periodismo no saben nada
Este aeropuerto de peligroso no tiene nada, 2300 mts de pista mas que suficientes, con eso puede aterizar lo que sea, menos el tranbordador Columbia, pero no hace falta tampoco pues ya no esta en servicio.Este aeropuerto igual que el de isla de madeira tiene fama de dificiles, pero son largos y seguros, el hecho que comienze en una ladera y termine en otra no es ningun factor que influya en un aterizage, da lo mismo si a cada extremoa de la pista tien 30 km planoa asfaltados , solo el clima afecta algo , los vientos me refiero, pero esos estan ahi , si el aeropuerto tuviara una pista de 10 km de largo , los vientos serian siempre los mismos, una vez que tocaste cabecera lo demas es irrelevante , lo mas importante es el ancho de la pista , en este caso 40 mts, con algunos aviones hasta podrias aterrizar ahi de costado , osea transversal .

The dead will rise and we will meet our loved ones again! :-)
It's an amazing place to visit. When I lived in the village of San Antonio del Tequendama, I could see Nevado del Ruiz on the horizon from my balcony. It was so beautiful.

I don't see what's so dangerous? Who cares about the computer warning "terrain" the pilot has an unimpeded approach to a good runway. Doesn't seem particularly dangerous.
