This video was absolutely no help. Those panels were the exact dimensions of the wall & cabinets & there were no outlets. Everyone who is here are looking for guidance on how to measure & cut for smaller wall gaps & outlets 🙄
I’m hoping the walls don’t need to be absolutely smooth to install these panels. I have some old tile adhesive skimmed on the wall that I want to go over
I'd sand a bit first. If you're using the adhesive method, I'd think it would spread upon pressure. I'm installing this as well. Did you finish your project already?
Diana Shelton no but I have the tiles now. I bought the “terrain” style. Hoping it’s a bit busier and thicker. I’m installing with construction adhesive. I held one on the wall. Looks like they’ll work. There is so many gouges and old adhesive ( old house) I would have had to re-Sheetrock to get it smooth
@@larryc1964 i don't think you'll have a problem with adhesive. I'm still waiting for my trim. I've ordered it all over the country only to be told they're out everywhere.
This stuff is near impossible to lock the cross members into the mains. It does not just wiggle into place like they show in the video. Any attempt to use a pliers just damages the visible face of the grid. FYI, YES I have the bulb facing correctly on both supports. SMH, and frustrated with this situation.
I apologize that you were having issues with the HG Grid installation. Please call our customer care line at 800-434-3750 M-F from 7am-4:30pm central time so that we can assist.
