thanks for the video but in my opinion from the training point of view its poorly presented (sound/video) which makes it useful only for people who are already very familiar with the subject

Can you post a link to direct me to more explanation about light band ? I didn't realize it may be possible to repair the seal faces. I always assumed they were changed every time. Good video

Bub I am not going to like or dislike. Should have scripted or something brother. Hellva effort. Been a while since I set one. Was looking for refresh. Seems I have to keep looking. Don't take clips off. Turn them around. So they stay with that seal & pump.

Removal of the seal is dependent on the type of seal, location within the hardware, and overall accessibility. Typically, rotary seals can be carefully pressed out or pulled out with a seal puller or pick set.

Hello, there are a variety of shaft sizes for Eagleburgmann Cartex seals; shaft sizes in millimeters are 25, 28, 30, 32, 33, 35, 38, 40, 42, 43, 45, 48, 50, 53, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100. Additional sizes can be provided if required.

What is the best type of o-ring for cryogenic applications, such as a vacuum plug?

Hi Seth, in general, elastomers are good for COLD temperatures but NOT cryo-temperatures. Cryogenic temperatures is somewhat vague, but most consider it to be around -200°F. There are certain silicones or fluorosilicones that can seal around -100°F, but anything colder than that is when we would move towards spring energized teflon seals. Can your company manufacture bespoke static Seal with the following specification? Seal internal diameter - 6.5mm Seal thickness - 15mm thick, 5mm height Seal Operating Temperature - 5oC to 40oC Seal material - preferably Polycarbonate but welcome your recommendation. Seal is static and used on rotating shaft with details below Shaft diameter - 6.5mm Shaft length - 18mm Shaft material - Chrome (It can be any other material that you recommend as long as it does not rust) Suggested Oring CS - 2mm The seal is required to prevent water leaking through the rotating shaft. Liquid is enclosed in the sphere-like structure of 35mm diameter. Sphere will retain liquid for up to 2minutes max then it is emptied. Human hand must be capable of turning shaft clockwise and anti-clockwise and seal still prevent leaking.
