The first section you filmed was scary in quite a few places, you made it look so easy. And of course it isn't, and the camera lies as these were quite steep hillsides with narrow peg grabbing rocks.
mine is the first comment?? Odd. I was JUST telling my niece about trials and that exeter is a nice place. I did trials a few years ago with some friends, but stopped after the guys left my area. tempted to get a scorpa from a friend of mine who's knees cant do it anymore. What bike are you riding? is it a 125? I wonder if my niece could get in touch with you to check the sport out. she is 34 yrs old and a great woman.
Exeter, RI is a great place to ride! There are several groups in New England that ride regularly. She's welcome to come out to an event some time and check it out. Events are always free for spectators and we love getting more women in the sport! My Beta is a 125 and I just moved up to a TRS 250. I'll be selling my Beta soon and it's a great starter bike. This looks like a lot of fun. I've had a couple trials bikes in the past, but had few opportunities to ride with others on trials bikes. I'd like to get my whole family into this.
It's great to see that everyone offers you tips. Even better, you know which ones are not for you! It cracked me up when the checker said that nobody had cleaned the section yet and you told him not to count on you doing it! Haha. Survival mode is key. 3s not 5s. Nice going. You're a great addition to the trials scene.
Betas are great, they start pretty easy and they turn tighter than some other bike brands. A 125 or a 200 would be a perfect bike to start on, they're easier to start than some of the higher CC bikes and they have plenty of power. Hope this helps!

This was so great to see! I was checking Section 10 so didn't get to see any of the other sections on Day 1. Good for you for trying it, it is a level higher than anything you've ridden in Sportsman A for sure. Expert C next year! (just kidding, would be nice to win a season before moving up)
I just started on the trials bike in March 2023. I'm still doing the same thing you did on your stoppies (endos). I hop and lift my feet off the pegs and get little rear wheel hop. How have you improved over the last year?
So cool I had the 80..200..and 350..the jack shaft chain on the 350 is a downer, I took a 125 trimoto chain tensioner cut it down and welded it to swing arm it worked great.
You're killing me, how bout shifting that thing and let it roll. Holding this 2-stroke back is extremely tiring and no fun. Is there anyone in that group that would offer you a bit of encouragement?
Checking on hunters that if they had been hunting probably would've left because of the dirt bikes . Not a good day hunting when a party of dirt bikes come through. I ride and have since I was 9 years old . I'm now 56 . I never ride on Saturday during hunting season. It's a Maine thing ! That's why we have Sunday no hunting ... Been that way for as long as I have been alive . I used to hunt and I still ride . I know the riding season is short but we should probably respect the others that use the woods . Sundays aren't bad . The more we push the boundaries the more trails get closed to us . Remember what everyone always says . " Those dirt bikes Tate up the trails" Sound familiar? And that usually comes from the 4 wheeler guys . You know those guys who ride 4 wheelers and hunt . Ya those guys that close the trails to us . Good thing it wasn't them or they would have complained to the state . You guys coming through gave the wardens a day off because anyone hunting would have left as soon as they heard the bikes in the woods. In effect the wardens now have no hunters to check on . Of course they were nice . You made their day .
