Mosquito is too low like how... but you know a group has a good discographie when some of your favorite songs are at the bottom of someone elses list i guess!
im late,But sexy concept is hard to comeback because there are lots of kids under 13-17 loving K-pop,I think thats the reason,But also I want Groups like girls generation like Being funny,Roasting each other Making fun of each other just like how real bestfriends Do
Not really. IVE's only good album is their debut single Eleven. This album has some bits of interesting production, and this is a lot more cohesive than their previous albums. I feel like IVE struggles with cohesion in most of their eps. But do I think it's their best? No. I am surprised that no one fucks with Reset. That is just solid clubbing music. I didn't get it on the first listen but it's good now. Heya and Ice Queen are so cheap and boring that I am done with the sampling like I am tired. Poo poo platter. I dislike the Accendio chorus because it relies on adlibs and samples that imo, don't flow well and sound repetitive but the rest of the song is fun. I still won't come back to it because of the horrible chorus. Blue Heart is giving Sonic ost. It's cute, but I won't come back to it. WOW is cute, but the D&B samples are just unnecessary and annoying, it just doesn't work. I am giving the ep a 5.5/10. There is a cohesive theme but it's low due to a lot of production choices that hinders my enjoyment of the tracks.
wow its funny that i liked all the songs except for reset and its the opposite for you but reading your reasoning is honestly valid and i really do get the accendio criticism but idk it just hits for me. i think out of their korean albums, i’ve ive, mine and switch, switch clears musically and creatively. everything you disliked about this one is exactly how i felt with their debut album.
@taemeutm Accendio is quite similar to Holy Moly with this melodic chorus approach, but it just doesn't work for me, and they sound off-kilter and frivolous in their lyricality. I understand what the producers were trying to do(trying to fit the concept and lore behind the song), but I don't like this approach on the over-reliance on adlibs and samples as they sound repetitive, barebones and lazy. Many IVE songs (Love Dive, After Like, I AM, Heya and more...) have this problem, and they began to sound uninspired to me, that also reiterates my thoughts on Ryan S Jhun, having undeveloped musical ideas in his produced songs due to his overconfidence that it will be a hit.
5:05 😭 As a fantasy they’re still around they just don’t get the recognition they should from fans or even the industry. They’ve continued making music even when some of their members have enlisted and one has left to do acting full time.
Well, not really. Their whole discography is at least a 4/10 imo. I find most of their b-sides either have unnecessary rap sections that don't flow well or muddled mixing that lacks the crispness of the members' voices. Most of their b-sides are just very b-side, and some of them don't have finished ideas given that Ryan S Jhun is the main producer. I seriously despise that man because he is misogynistic, but he also lets his ego get into his work since his hit of dophin by Oh My Girl. I also find their b-sides produced by Ryan S Jhun either have experimental tracks that sound overly dissonant or regular pop tracks that sound overly coperate and generic, which is why I can't get into IVE and why some of their soundscapes are soo cheap. I genuinely think all of the good songs from IVE are the ones not produced by Ryan S Jhun e.g. Take It, Royal, Blue Blood and Hypnosis.
@@slaystinn this!! i agree fully and the bsides you listed were the ones i liked the most from them before their recent comeback. personally i'd also add off the record and MAYBE cherish,, maybe
Sheesh my soty atm followed up by Nothing by kiss of life, Supernova by Aespa, like that and sitm by babymonster and sonar by nmixx! I'm literally manifesting for Armageddon to be better than supernova because surely it has rap and the effort is def 100%.
no kiof cb (the title.) was too good.. it kinda felt reminiscent of self titled era britney? like the new jack swing... gag omg. it encapsulates the sound from the 2000's so perfectly and they don't just rely on visual aspects like you said, which is EXACTLY why it eats!!!!!!! never said anything bad abt them
Oook so... I'll be honest... I agree with you about the new Loossemble album itself lol. But I'm not mad. I like Girls' Night a lot. As long as they do another great album next time, we can forget about this bland (not even bad, just a bit forgettable) album and be grateful for the solid title track that it still gave us lol. I may be the only K-pop fan who honestly really doesn't get the Midas Touch hype but that's ok I guess... And I enjoyed Shhh and Bad News tbh... NMIXX album was pretty amazing tbh, I agree. Especially Dash, Sonar, Boom and Passionfruit. As of now they probably are my favourite gg out of that 2022 rookie class. IVE follows them not far. Edit: ok I disagree about Itzy 😂 really enjoyed Untouchable. I agree that Mr Vampire was the best track though.
