Hello everyone! My name is Tudor and I have many passions, but one of them is my car. I'm a beginner RU-vidr, I'll mostly post videos about my Citroen C5, but occasionally I'll post whatever I feel like showing you or whatever you tell me you would like to see :-D So, please help a brother out by liking my videos (if you like them of course) and subscribing! Thanks ;-)
What makes the wheels come up off the ground when the blocks are under. You can drain the fluid back to the reservoir, but there's no force up i can think of? It doesnt suck the fluid out, it just has the car weight sweuuze it back to to tank when the valve is opened. So confused
Don't forget that you use the suspension to change tyres without a jack on all hydropneumatic Citroens from 1955. And if you have a high speed puncture you maintain stability and braking. Most of them can be driven on 3 wheels on full height suspension at low speed.
Both will start with a decent battery at -10-15 celsius but after that as temepeatures get colder after -20 celsius petrol cars start significantly easier. One of the reasons is that petrol has much lower freezing temperature of close to -40 clesius compared to -26-28 celsius for diesel fuel
More, if one tyre punctured or two tires blew at high speed, hydraulic automation instantly helped, not loosing control, and that hapened since early 1955 AD, when Citröen DS 19 was first launched. See youtube DS 19. It is enough.
@@soultrain8135You are mistaken, it needs to be changed approximately every 5-8 years. Total lds is usually poured, but in someone they pour whatever is suitable in terms of viscosity. For example, I will soon change to mineral hydraulic oil The viscosity should be between ISO 15 and 22.
@@soultrain8135 i bought my new i and drive it still 12 years now. if i may ask what brand are you driving now, because i see you liked Citroen back in the day did you stay with them or did you go to the Germans for sportiness 🙂
@@soultrain8135 i did not expect this answer, not a typical route to go to, completely different segment. i was pretty sure you jumped ti an audi. Mitsubishi has always be interesting to me i they have their way of doing things.the Outlander is a really nice car g and friendly for children, nice choise. My Citroen is the same red color.
I don't know you miles on the engine but if its over 100k please for your engine and wallet get throdal body and piston heads cleaned on the diesel. Also change oil at every 4,500 to 5,500 miles. Sorry American we normally don't do km Sorry.
Hey there! Good job whit the Hydra active Review:- you are the only one!... Soo sorry that Citroen Cut this Future on the latest models, him being the pioneere of this tehnology!I'm thinking to buy. a 2016 Crossover Estate model... How do you find the center weal comand :- does it interview whit the steering?🤔
I used it for 5 years, I don't own it anymore, but during that time, I had only a few problems. The fuel pressure regulator, and the clutch. The suspension at some point got a little confused and was not sitting at the correct height, which led to other problems like not being able to fully raise the car, but after 15 minutes of tweaking with a 10mm wrench, it was working linke new.
As far as I remember (I don't have the car anymore), it is normal to say stop while the car is not moving and has the ignition on, but the engine is not started. If it says stop while driving, then there is a problem with the car and it tells you to stop. Anyway, you should get the car checked at a service, or at least a diagnosis with a scan tool.

Recomanzi? Fiabilitate motor, cutie e tot automata. Multumesc.
At the moment i have an old Toyota Corolla year model 2000, technically in good condition but badly rusted, so i need another car in near future. I'm seriously considering Citroen C5 with hydroactive suspension, year model something between 2005-2009 with 2.0 gasoline engine&AT. I'm just little worried that is it too fault sensitive, and i mean hydro suspension, but also the car over all. Is it worth to buy..?
How to change a tire: 1. Loosen the bolts of the tire you need to change. 2. Raise the car to max position 3. Place something like a jack under one of the jacking points, where is punctured tire is... (even a chunk of wood high enough will do) 4. Lower the car onto the jack. 5. Undo the bolts completely, and the rest is like changing the tire on any other car. Except you have a built in jack, in the form of the Hydropneumatic system. So, keeping it in high position won´t work. The suspension will always try to "keep all 4 wheels on the road", so it would press down the flat tire. But when the car lowers, physics will do the job to lift the one wheel off the ground. BUT: If you DON´T put on a new wheel and raise the car back up again, there is a good chance the suspension will level out the car and you can drive on three wheels. Not on highway speed, but it works. Nice anecdote: In August 1962 this suspension saved the life of french then-president Charles de Gaulle from an assassination attempt. Even though the wheels of his Citroen DS were punctured by bullets, the suspension kept the car level and in drivable condition so he could flee from the assassins.
All well and good, but those jacking points are very sensitive in the last C5, I managed to mess them up twice, almost the same way like in this viceo, and the third time was the worst and it needs a body work. Should get around to it soon. These jacking points are simple pieces of metal sheet that stick out downwards, and they need only the jack of the car, to perform correctly. I used a hydraulic jack, and rested one of those points on a tripod, and next thing you know, it slowly bent the metal. The same goes for jacking the car on solid objects like in this video, like briks and wood blocks. Even wood is hard enough to bend those metal sheet jacking points. I totaly hate them. To be 100% sure you don't damage anything, you have to use rubber bushings, and those are not so easy to find, at least in the common market. So be careful guys. Always use the jack that is supplied with the car. Don't risk a bent jacking point that may need a professional fix, costing you valuable time and money. And of course, always raise those hydros to the high position when changing a tire. (That middle jacking point of the GS is a 100 times better)
Salutare.
