My name is Steve Cooper, I have over five decades of experience chasing Large Mouth Bass on the California Delta. I am recently retired and currently spend 125 to 150 days on the water, with the majority of that time on the Delta. I started my RU-vid channel in 2020 and have enjoyed learning the ropes and sharing information with other anglers. Having experience with a wide variety of angling exeriences gives me the opportunity for a sometimes unique look into Bass angling. I always try to keep fresh content with some out of the box ideas that are hopefully both helpful and entertaining. Thanks for watching and supporting. Steve Cooper
Hey Jacob, I don't know John personaly so I really can't answer your question. What was the circumstance? Everyone should be on there best behavior tournament day.
@@indeeponthedeltawithstevec5997 it was not on a tournament day it was a day sometime early this summer! Not sure how to handle this moving forward. He could have killed us. He was driving at us head on and “didn’t see us” in an all white mako.
Hey Monica if you see this comment can you get a hold of me? I use to go to antioch high and didnt know theres a bass club there not but i got some stuff i want to see if the kids there are interested in
Nice reporting Steve. Keep up the good work, it's greatly appreciated. 1 thing though, the photo for the 1st place team is of the Delta Bass Club not the team from Sac.
Awesome video! Very informative and a lot of multi species when targeting panfish. I’ve fished the delta for 30 years. License plate size redears prefer to ambush prey around island points near deep drop offs facing a main river system. Occasionally can find them behind islands with 8+ feet of water. Recently caught some that was nearly 2 lbs!
No thanks ill stick to 100% flourocarbon for my texas rig worms never had a problem and get more bites than when i use briad to leader, i beleive fish see the braid especially yellow.
Hey Steve , me and my son did well on last Saturday big fish was 4.65lb but had a hard time finding big fish on Sunday . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wT69sF0k9L8.htmlsi=hTQ9kwFcXB0E09Z5 Thanks for the tips .
Rio is cool. I believe he did good this week. I’ll be up there this weekend. I’ll send a report for support🤙😎. Not sure where to launch this weekend, maybe Coney Island again.
Thanks for the report, Steve. I guess your secret spot is not a secret anymore. Now there after you with airplanes. I’ve been fishing the lakes with the grandkids just having fun. Thanks Camoguy
Steve what do you think about using barbless hooks. Us fly fishers typically don’t use barbed hooks. I pinch barbed hooks on lures without any problems
Definitely gotta look for shade and some good weed growth plus any hard structure nearby. For deeper crappie, ledges and drop offs is prime for them in a river system.
They’re tricky to locate but look for shade with hard structure nearby. Deeper crappie target ledges and drop offs. They’ll be schooling with their relatives the bluegills and redear sunfish.
