When Dweezil nerds out about VanHalen, it makes me feel more normal while i nerd/freak out on Frank! Musicians be musicians. Love Dweezil's works, and Z on Z was the coolest tribute a Band/Son could've played! Wild, i wish i couldve been there!...(uh yeah...but i still got my guitar...)😅
he said "press at the first fret and look at the 12th fret to see if it moves, if it moves the fret's a little high", but if you press at the first fret you remove the nut from the equation!, even experts aren't experts sometimes, alas
Dave, You need to feel the Heat and Humidity in New Orleans, La. It's like Mt. St. Helen's combined with the Sahara Desert, Brother. I'm born and raised here. The older you get, the worse the heat and humidity get. I'm 51. Hoping to move back to Seattle, Washington for good, to live the rest of my life, in the next 4 years. I'm sick of the South, Our Weather, Hurricanes, Homeowner Insurance Price Gouging, as well as a very sad....being kind saying sad, infrastructure. 😂....I've been going to Seattle my whole life. Love their infrastructure, weather, scenery, dispensaries, etc. Lol....Thanks for the great show, brother.
Worthless shit because of that imperial measurement system. BTW - why aren't you, Americans, offended by the name "imperial"? Why is he most democratic country in the world so attached to "imperial" system?
Marc, you gotta check out the self-titled Crue album with Corabi, it’s actually really good! Sad it didn’t do well because of shifting tastes/trends and that Vince wasn’t on it….. even if you’re not crazy about it, I can guarantee you it’s better than anything they put out afterwards. That’s truly their last good album
Pickup adjustment portion was so brilliant and rarely discussed! Also the unique intonation measurement approach removing nut from calibration. The rest is standard.
Just so damn cool. Thanks guys for doing this show. I know it takes time to do this shit and I for one appreciate the shit outta it. I’ve learned so much from you guys. Thank you!!!!
No disrespect intended. However, a member of Motley falls on 'hard times' in the mid to late 90s, after all their success. Nope, that's not hard times that's being as completely financially irresponsible as possible.
No disrespect but then you disrespect him. Do some research before you count other people’s money. Mick has been divorced and has kids…life isn’t that simple
I don’t care if Steve sells guitar picks at Sweetwater head quarters, I will buy it. He has had a life long career with and around people my dad would tell me about as a kid. I wish someone would be with him and film him from time to time. I always look up him and Joe Walsh weekly.
My ears pricked up too - Time stamp 18:40 (I STILL HAVE THAT AMP) 18:55 (NO - for sure No ) again from 42:18 (@ 42:45 - he says I STILL HAVE THAT AMP) no question MICK still has the Dr Feel good Amp
What's the difference between a Lyft and a cab? People get drunk and make bad decisions. The way it's always been. I have to take a Lyft to the bar otherwise I'll be tempted to drive home too.
Dave Friedman, who has scaled up his boutique business into an industrial powerhouse is here listening to Mike talk about the Organic Japanese Vegetable Farm.. . if only we could all pull off being so idealist.
That was a killer conversation thanks fellas!I put that one up there with the Jake hangout! Mick is a freaking legend, such a killer guitarist and seems really down to earth. I love hearing all of the gear talk too definitely took some notes! Keep up the great show!

Mick is an incredible guitarist, his solo album proved he could do it without MC. Chris is also a great producer, thought he did a great job co-producing Flat Black's debut album with Jason Hook.
Btw, I was the second guy in Canada to have a guitar with a Floyd Rose on it. Alex Lifeson being the first. When I called the number in the back of the Guitar Player magazine, it was 11 in the morning where Floyd lived. He was sleeping and his mom answered the phone. When I finally connected with Floyd, he was working on the tooling for second engineering change for the first iteration of the non fine tuner bridge. I wanted to order a bridge but I thought that it would be better to order a new Strat with it installed. It was a black usa made strat and I had them plain down the fingerboard and install large frets. I have more info if you like. Cheers!
Great show, Marc. This was great & informative. Mick Mars is awesome. I always love hearing what other guitar players that I love have in there guitars or amps.
