Dr. Wakeman, 5-6 years ago your work on the subject of stigma really opened my eyes. It has fundamentally changed the way i identify as someone who used drugs AND the way i refer to others in my day to day as a PA and Paramedic. I still reference your articles myself and recommend them to others. Your work also inspired me to get back into school to finish the last bit to get my PA. You are truly an angel.
What's the only practical way to avoid exposure to PFAS "eternal" poisons now found in the water chain? Think hard... How about home-grows relying on rain water?!
So the only way is to make home grow legal. 21 and older. Unregistered, unlimited, unregulated, unmolested this stops the arguments, black market, greed, incarceration
Can we have anonymous use like in alcohol. Preventing targeting users by hackers and law-enforcement. Lets "get back to the herbs". Labs for results on products for heavy metals, molds, fungus, toxins, pesticides, herbicides.
The facts is we are smoking Hemp Flower not Marijuana. If you take it to the lab it will be confirmed therefore not only are they selling us weak copies of what Marijuana should be which is fraud when it comes to legalities.
The only true answer is home grow for all 21 and older unregistered, unregulated, unlimited, unmolested, un taxed. This is the only way to stop the greed, arguments, black market, and incarceration. This is a plant for the prevention of sickness when consumed raw. Gen 1:29. The fact that one can get high is no reason to keep it illegal, people we can purchase 190 proof alcohol. In lethal amounts
This is just sad. Anyone living in these places can see the dramatic decline in the community as drugs became more available and able to run unchecked by law enforcement. Portland stands as a testament to the negative effects of decriminalization to which the city is unlikely to recover for many years to come even with the repeal of these asinine decisions made by city leaders. My heart goes out to the members of the community that had no choice but to helplessly sit back and watch as their community became a regular scene for people openly doing drugs without fear of reprisal or the hope of action from law enforcement.
Handing cash to someone that’s never had it won’t help them. I’m not sure what’s expected here. Nobody alive has ever been owned nor has anyone alive ever owned anyone. How can an effort to thwart drug use in this country be condemned.
Thank you Dr. Knox. The prohibition of Cannabis is much more harmful than the use. It is the opposite in fact. How many Veterans have been jailed or kept out of the workforce due to Cannabis use?
Could anyone of you find out how much money is spent on drug testing and disciplining/firing federal employees? If over 60% of Americans want legalization. Seems lots of us are footing a huge taxpayer bill we don't support. Cannabis users tend to realize more than others how bad they are being _ _ _ _ed by the upper 1%.
Really interesting research, thanks for posting it. Is there a way to join the network of drug researchers with lived experience? I tried searching online but couldn't find it. I feel aligned with their mission.
I'm suffering from fentanyl ATM) reason I believe, why fentanyl/blues. Blew up in such popularity so quickly. (1.- [Their imitation Percocets] when you see/think pill, u might think of (Doctor, pharmacy, or to get well.)- so it might seem more palatable/try, over somebody offering you a nasty black-tar/herion to smoke…(2. [ they were first cutting it in heroin between 2015 and 2017, around 2017 and 2018 is when Pill form emerged]- since they were imitation pharmaceuticals- (Percocets, Oxys, Xanax. Etc). Those illicit users all slowly knowing/unknowingly became fentanyl addicts...........(3. When somebody's depressed they're either going to harm themselves physically mentally or with drugs..... but Not 100% case )
