Wish they can reduce the carbo type of food offered and not desserts that are much less sweet for passengers (most of them were already senior passengers)
Just the info I was looking for, thanks. I have a couple of questions... I tried to find this info on their website, but didn't see anything. Do you know if they offer pre and post cruise packages? Do they take care of airport transfers? I wish their website was better. Viking has a really nice one where you can "price and build" to see exactly what you get.
fr I was on the biking trails for 5 hours straight in June, we got lost and ended up biking 13 miles but we eventually found our way back to gulf state park
I took this out this morning for two hours sitting down and i couldn’t walk after. The Cons: the straps that holds the foot pad has come off. The seat is useless can’t understand the design at all doesn’t provide comfort whatsoever. When using as a SUP, I find the paddle too short. Not as portable as advertised, very difficult and heavy to carry by one person unless you are a body builder. The PROS, I enjoy the stability and maneuverability .

I have been waiting on thier customer service for months now to fix problems. Mine was delivered to wronghouse, the hinge wasn't broken, back fit together fine but front hinge is off by a good inch to half inch so there is no way to assemble. They seem to think I had a broken hinge which is not the problem,the mold is off so any replacement will have the same problem. We tried to put replacement hinges they sent just in case it fit and it wouldn't fit. I'm now going on months waiting for a solution.
How wet is the ride? Splashes here and there or would you get full on soaked? would cold water in the spring/fall be a no go? Hot summer weather wouldn't be a problem but I'm wondering if its do-able in cold weather/water.. i wanna be able to get to fishing spots i cant get too from the shore line
I also ordered mine on the kickstarter offer just got it and it assembled very easy. I did order the freedom cart and received that yesterday. Again easy assembly and use.
I remember that KickStarter and did not join but thank you so much for this video as I've often thought of it. I've funded many successful KickStarters, maybe one or two didn't go through. I'm going to keep my eye on this product.
Ordering 2 of these in 2020 as a kickstarter was one of the biggest mistakes I made. It still hasn't arrived and I got kicked off their Facebook page for trying to get a response to my queries there as they dont reply to emails for weeks and according to some people they never respond.
My husband ordered one and he is yet to receive it. There are dozens of people awaiting theirs. Don’t order one, they are hoping you will forget about it and will never contact you again 😡
I received my 1st of 2 paddlers 2 days ago. And I am VERY happy with the product, design, and customer service responses to inquiries. I, like many people, had plenty of time, due to the pandemic set backs in production and shipping, to research Origami Paddler’s informational RU-vid videos. I got to know my paddler before it arrived. So setting the bolts for the hinges was a breeze( no tools, no struggles) , attaching the seat and adjusting it to my comfort…easy., and most importantly, PROPERLY setting in the long pin ALL THE WAY DOWN, was easy as well. ( if you notice in this video, this customer originally put the seat on backwards and never set the pins all the way down to stabilize both the top and bottom portions of the hinge.). I saw videos that stated that this could cause damage to the hinge if not set all the way down. (A little trick I discovered to get the pin to drop down through both top and bottom holes, was to place a thick piece of cardboard under the center section of the paddler. This allowed the end sections to slightly fall lower.} After the hinges are properly aligned on one side, drop the pin in, and jiggle. On all 4, mine dropped right in with no fight. As for complaints about water leaking in at the plugs, I have a little liquid gel silicon I rub on plugs, the seal to my water proof iPod protector I use to swim and listen to my favorite music, and that will work just fine. I love this Origami Paddler group, for their positivity at life, through really difficult times. Be NICE to People, Get NICE from people is my motto.

And as I don’t check my emails daily( I blame that on the spam mail, they’re as bad as the telephone spammers) the email was a few days missed, the arrival was about 5 days. It was a great surprise standing up beside the boxes of new bathroom appliances in the garage :). I hadn’t looked everything over, instead left that to contractors, so they were surprised too. I put it together and laid it in the snow( Connecticut). I think they thought it was a cool toboggan. Lol!

Mine came and 3 out of 4 of the critical (plastic) hinges were broken. These hinges hold the paddler together. Now if they were broken before shipping that is bad, but if broken in transit, that is worse because it shows how delicate these hinges are. Imagine throwing your paddler in your truck to go for a kayaking trip only to discover a broken hinge. You are totally out of luck. IMO, this is a major design flaw. I'm sure the paddler works great when the hinges work but the fact that they break easily is pretty scary.
I ordered two origami paddlers in January 2021 and I just received one of them in January 2022. It arrived with the hinge broken (common problem). Their customer service won't answer the phone and they don't respond to emails.
It not a scam. I ordered mine Aug. 2021 and received it in May 2022. It's a small startup that I think wasn't probably anticipating the volume of orders.
Frustrated with this company. I have water coming in through the top black plugs (seems like many people have this issue) and then I posted a question about the “new” hinges and if both pieces were the stronger material because the top piece looks like the old material still (and that hinge was cracked) and I was blocked from the Facebook group. Still waiting to hear from them from an email I sent at the beginning of the month.
Thanks for taking the time for making this video. Please watch the video the company made about the paddler. It looks like they recommend using both heads of the paddle when using as a stand-up paddleboard. It seems to allow for better leverage and avoid having to bend/stoop, especially for taller people. It seems a little awkward paddling around with a kayak paddle while standing up but ergonomically better for your back in the long run.
Ive ordered mine and can’t wait. Second floor condo so it will live in my van! So doable for me, a 73 yr old woman. 👍. I love kayaking but hate renting one all the time. Limited on places to go. Live in Tampa bay area and a million places to go.
Two cruises on emerald. I never found that button for the pool to make that swim stream 🤷♀️😂. There was one button but nothing happened.. There are FANTASTIC cruises. We are rebooked
Sadly, we had a cruise booked for October 4, 2019 thru the 19th, Budapest to Amsterdam, which we had to cancel with the passing of my mother-in-law. Then Covid 19. Now we are going in September 2022. I am back to watching videos so I will be "in the know" when we at last get to go! Thank you for getting me ready
Glad to hear that they have increased the activities and wellness stuff. I REALLY enjoyed our two Emerald river cruises and didn’t need the other activities, but others more active than me would
