This feels like a high-speed racing theme. And now I really want a segment where you have to stay on Sylux’ tail while pursuing him in morph ball mode.
This one is the one that hit instantly. The only one that hit instantly in my first playthrough. Felt so memorable and cool to listen to. Also, visually and thematically it remains my favorite. The clean, but desolate look makes it feel like a liminal space. The music is oppressive while the place is supposed to be like a modern take of a Chozo military temple or something. Like Raven Beak's main HQ proper. Reminds me of the portrayal of totalitarian, dystopic and extremists organizations like the ones found in Star Wars. It's insanely cool.
Ah, Samus. You have entered an E.M.M.I zone checkpoint. Would you like to save? To think, some people claim that Metroid Dread's music was bad! This song captures the jungle atmosphere of Ghavoran, while also being trippy and unsettling!
I don’t know where Nintendo should go after this (I know Prime 4 comes out next year but that is set before Metroid 2) considering the X being extinct and Raven Beak’s intergalactic domination schemes have been ruined and now Samus herself is the last remaining Metroid in the universe
nostalgia eating me up literally crying?😭😭 this game holds one of the happiest memories of my life and holds a special place in my heart edit: So glad to know theres people who share the same thought
Now you face the power of a king of the beasts, The Waddle Dee's fate doesn't bother me in the least! Prepare yourself, weakling, for my hammer's fall! King Dedede shall stand triumphant over all! Bow to the mighty King Dedede! Pay homage, to the rule, of the wild! Yes, you're in dire straits, as you shoulder my hate, you forsaken child!! (Based on lyrics from other with lyrics, this bit I made up myself)
Ah yes, theme of that one File 12 mission where every enemy is a Frog and they abruptly introduce a frog-based superboss (complete with its own gimmick) at the 11th hour.
All fun and games until the giant sludge baby channels its inner Tigrex and starts charging at you (and breaks all the billboards you were supposed to use)
For some reason this reminds of me of I think the Batcave theme from the first Lego Batman game? I dont know, a track from that game just sounds strangely similar to this one to me, it's strangely nostalgic
I disagree with Raven Beaks sentiment that Samus is a Mawkin. Sure, she was most likely trained by Mawkin warriors under the guidance of her adoptive father, Grey Voice, but she most obviously was raised and grew up as a Thoha. She probably was familiar with the Mawkin but never adopted the Mawkin ways of the Chozo. Some Mawkin probably adopted ways of the Thoha, hence their aiding the Thoha on SR388, but the true Mawkin were not present to raise Samus.
