When we begin to ponder over the very idea of authority, it brings to mind power. I have always thought the law is given to us as a guide or direction to follow to bring about order and peace. It does not require much thought to see that without the law and the authority to execute it, that chaos would exist. The problem exist today, just as it did in the time of Jesus, that there are those who want to seemingly circumvent the law and its order to make it more beneficial for their own purposes. It's not that the law has lost it's meaning, but the interpretation of it has been added to by those who seek to "clarify" the meaning through their own need. This was what made the teaching of Jesus so profound! He wasn't taking away from the law as it was written, but giving meaning to the law as it was written. It wasn't for His benefit that he preached this message, because as the author of this message, He was aware of the need for understanding of the law. Jesus Christ is, was and forever will be the truth, standing incarnate before man as a beacon of light to bring the simplicity of the law to light that all who desired to know the truth could receive it. As the author of the law, Christ is the only one who can judge and forgive us from our transgressions to the law. Unlike the laws that are made in the secular world, we are not bound by a trial and a jury of our piers to ascertain our guilt, for our guilt is known by an all seeing and all knowing Father who is empowered to forgive a repentant soul. That is the wonder and amazing truth that we as Christians are made aware of through our faith and trust in God. Jesus Christ came to us as a man with the divine authority to clarify the law that we all might not be held accountable for our sins, but through grace be forgiven by a loving Father.🙏💖🕊🕊🕊

A really great thought to ponder over. The truth is that we are all obligated to make dicisions based on our own that fall in line with our faith. Interestingly that is where the problem begins. Good fruit, like good dicisions are produced from our understanding of what it is that God's will is desirous of. To gain that understanding we must "educate" ourselves. The principle means is to read God' word to us. Yes we can go to church and listen as the scripture is read, but do we put ourselves in a position to discern what we are hearing? The Bible is the "book of life." It is a story that is as true today as it was when it's writers wrote it. It has a beginning and unfortunately it does have an end. But between that beginning and ending, we are all privy to be a part of the never ending story that keeps repeating itself with new characters over and over again. Having a freewill, we all are able to choose how we desire to live our lives. God is not discriminating in the dicisions we make, He created us and no matter what we choose, He will love us. Just as we understand that we fall short at times it our obedience to His will, He will even forgive us because of that love that He has for us. The truth is to bare good fruit, we must immerse ourselves into understanding that never-ending story that He provided for us. Understanding comes from a life of spiritual faith and desire to fulfill the meaning of the never ending story. What is the meaning? I like to think that it is love as Saint Paul says in 1 Corinthians 13, as a way of life, lived in imitation of Jesus Christ, that is not focused on ones self but on the "other" and his or her good. Good fruit is always obtained when we allow love to be the rule and guide of our faith. Amen🙏💖🕊🕊🕊🕊
