Yes, and I’m sorry it’s not one of my best videos like I’ve said another comments. It was a challenge to get enough ladders enough people enough hands to hold everything so it was very difficult to do a video. I apologize for that.
Yes, I totally agree with you. I think for travel is giving you a lot more for your money than new but again I will never say no to either one of them lol
Wonderful video, thank you for this. My wife and I took our honeymoon on Sanibel nearly 25 years ago, and have been back many times since. SI is our favorite place to spend time other than home (in Kentucky). What was your impression of the condition of the island overall? As in terms of, what % would you estimate the island is back to any semblance of normal? Again, thank you for this video, extremely well done!
Thank you for your kind words from what I saw and didn’t see a lot of Kiva because I was just too late for me to go down there my other two videos I believe cover a little more but I would say 50 to 60% was recovered, but they still had a ways to go, and some of the areas that were just totally flooded, and it burnt all the trees and foliage with the salt water. I would love to go back one more time say maybe next year and do more of the island once again, thank you for your kind words and watching our video.
Yes, I totally agree with you. Funny thing as I wanted to do better than what I did, but it was so hard with just the people we had the ladders the equipment we had so yeah it’s not a great video but I hope it helps a little bit you for your comments and watching the video.
Good video, I am having the same issue, I was going to buy a a new part for the filter housing but it seems easy enough to get to, maybe I wll try to see if I can fix that first. Thanks for the video.
I think it was a production issue with that model of fridge in that year but yeah I don’t think you need new parts. I was quite frustrated when I did this video too, but by putting a little bit of silicone on those little tabs, it was fine. I’m still using it today and the filter is going out perfectly so good luck. Thanks for watching. Thanks for your comments and please share.
I just found this video. Are you going to Captiva at some point? Maybe I missed it. I haven't been down there since Ian so am anxious to see the progress!
I had all good intentions of going right down to Captiva and doing the follow up video to that part but it was quite late in the day and traffic was crazy. Stupid coming off the island so unfortunately no I didn’t go down all the way like my second video after Ian. And now I’ve even left the US so that would be another trip down with another video
Such a good feeling when you can find the problem I had the issue to it drove me crazy until I took it all apart and found those little clips just wouldn’t stay connected with a bit of silicone. I fix that problem. Thanks for watching and your comments.
12:03 After I moved to Port Charlotte, FL, in Nov 2021, I went to Sanabel Island, and as I was leaving, I parked under those trees. I thought it was interesting that the water on the right side of the bridge was ice cold, but then I crossed the bridge, and the water was amazing.
I would probably think you’re correct because once I fix mine, I didn’t get any water dripping or anything at all. It’s just probably the seals in that little plastic adapter that are probably not connecting properly but as long as your filter seats properly then it’s probably the washers on the filter or what you can try is to make sure that they’re on correctly maybe with a little bit of soap on them just to make sure they slide in all the way and then don’t forget to run the water until it clears completely if there’s any soap in the system, hope this helps. Thanks for your comments.
Well I have been towing my Equinox this way for over 8 years and still running great. When I stopped for the night I would start my engine and let it run for a while to move the oil around the engine and transmission. Thank you for watching and your comments
Tried the TOYO m154 on a 19.5 rim for a 30ft gasser. Hey replaced Goodyear g670, Toyo is a great tire, but not for the lighter class. Removing Toyo and going back to Goodyear. P.s. Toyo was wonderful at the concerns of ride but eventually could not find softer replacement.
Wish I would have found this earlier today, I had watched it at least six months ago but I forgot about those pesky little four tabs. I too my old one out today and got a new filter in and locked, I just used a screw driver to push down on teeth to lock in, it worked but had I seen your video again, I would have remembered to get the tabs locked in place. Great video
Thank you for watching in your comments that is a bit of a challenge when those little tabs don’t lock in so that’s why I put a little bit of silicone on them waited them for them to dry and then put the whole unit back together. Thanks for watching please share.
Unfortunately, that unit is now long gone, which I had access to, but I will look up to see if I can find the dramatic penguin dip, switch configuration and post it in the next message. Thanks for watching and your comments.
Here is a link to Domitic. I’m hope you can find the information there. www.dometic.com/en-us/outdoor/rv-and-van/rv-air-conditioners/dometic-penguin-ii-high-efficiency-74975
Thank you for a fantastic video, we spent 3 days on Sanibel 20 years ago and hope to return one day, its a holiday forever etched in my memory. my sunny place to head to on a wet day in Wales.
Thank you for watching in your comments. It was quite devastating what Ian did to that area and that’s why I had to go back and check things out, but they’re on the mend. Give them a few more years and they’ll be back to what that glorious place was. And also, it’s quite a difference between my three videos that I have on my channel. Have you seen all three of them before after and this one thanks again
Thank you for watching and your comments. Leamington is a great place to live. Grow up and enjoy the surrounding area. Also, this year I’ll be doing another video on hogs for hospice.
Yes, not one of my better videos. The challenger was like we needed so many hands to do so many things with the amount of people we had and the ladders the more people the more ladders the more I could’ve filmed but thank you for your comments and watching the video.
Of course it’s all in Canadian dollars and I was just about $4000 and that was installed because where I had my tires done. The front tires were cracked a little bit, but the rear tires were not and the two Dooleys on the back of each side, I was able to get $100 credit for each tire so I hope this helps. I know I looked at Goodyear and Michelin and they were again more expensive and I really love my Toyota tires and you’ll see a lot on the websites and the channels where they’re talking about the great ride so I highly recommend them.
Hoping for some help, my app does not show my furnace, unless the furnace is on, and once it is off, the furnace icon disappears. does anyone know how to keep it on the app?
Can you show me some screenshots of what you’re talking about? I’d love to help but I need a little more information which you mean by it doesn’t show your furnace unless the furnace is on really doesn’t make sense to me. If you could give me some screenshots I’d love to help.
It was so heartbreaking because I’ve been there before the hurricane just after the hurricane and now just this past spring, it’s still heartbreaking to see the devastation that he did. I sure hope that they come back.
Sorry to tell you that, but you have inverted 2 wire.... that's critical the red wire is for the compressor (50 uf) on HERM marking and the brown one is the fan (5 uf) on FAN marking switch those two wire quick as possible if not you will damage the compressor.
yes, I totally agree. That’s when I started to do my front tires of course and then we decided to do all of the tires and two of my tires didn’t need any weights. They were right on for balancing thank you for watching and your comments.
This was very helpful, Vee. I had completely forgotten there was an RV park on Siesta Key. I'm certainly going here at some point with my newly acquired Triple E Commander!
Nice little Rv Park considering it’s right on turtle Beach and you can walk out and see the turtles at night, but I haven’t had the opportunity of staying here myself, but I sure would like to maybe next Winter season thanks for watching and your comments
Thanks, best video for actually doing this. I found that I was able to get the new filter to click in place by removing the cowling and holding the base steady with one hand on the back side, and then pushing in the filter with the other hand.
thank you so much for your comments and watching the video. Glad that we could help. I had a real challenge with mine until I really got upset so I took it apart completely and same problem. Those little tabs that were off the backside so that the filter wouldn’t bite into the teeth that hold it in place again thank you so much for watching. Please share the video.
Thanks for this video. I grew up in. Sw Florida and Sanibel was a weekly visit by boat year round. One of my favorite places, as a competitive swimmer, I frequently swam down by the lighthouse even with the undertow from the tides😂 I did get pulled out to the causeway once😂 Hoping to make my way down to see it again soon.
I also have a love for that area and it was so devastated with Ian going through there. I just wanted to go back down and have a look when I did this video things are looking up. Going to take some more time. Thank you for watching and your comments.
@ACanadianRVereh I know a few places down there that are a treasure to me. Sanibel is certainly one of them some of them you cannot get to buy car. Secrets of the swamp 🤣
Yes, I totally agree with you. I now have steel springs on my class A which are good. I’ve also added Bill Steen shocks. I’m using voice dictation so I’m sure that didn’t come out right but you know what I mean so airbags are much better but when you drive a vehicle that’s gone the full install of liquid Springs. It is something out of this world very very expensive but if you’ve got the money and you wanna make a class a fly over the road that’s the way to do it. Thank you for watching and your comments.
It depends what you’re doing you might if it’s in a home you might turn off the main valve if it’s in an RV if you usually look underneath the fridge or under the back panel in the RV bin, you will sometimes see a water valve there or just turn off the main system or on detach from the tap. Thanks for watching and your comments.
The issue im have in my rv trailer is the ac compressor seem to kick on, but not the blower. Is there 2 capicitors? On For compressor, and one for blower?
In a Domitic brisk to unit there is only one capacitor which has a combination of starting the compressor and also starting and running the motor so if you have that issue, we would need a little more information to troubleshoot it But there’s only one capacitor as you see what I installed in the video
In the model that we were working on, the dip switches were inside the control box that’s in the AC unit and the soft starts. We just installed on the side of the silver box. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching and your comments.
So now my challenge was to either get the window removed and fix the hazing or replace the complete window. I thought the best way to go is I didn’t want it to come back at all so I replaced the whole drivers side window. Thank you for watching and your comments
I believe these units should be replaced every five years. I can’t remember exactly the time but I believe it’s that. Thanks for watching and your comments.
This was a very helpful video to me, particularly from a safety and practical use point of view. I'm picking up my first coach in a week. I always enjoy your videos and have fond memories of Sarasota! It was practically a second home to me in my younger days.
Can you show an install for the Coleman's Mach with the controls Thats the only writing on it I have the Coleman's Mach and it has two control knobs on it and I can not find anyone doing a video for this unit please advise
thank you for watching our video and your comments here I will post a link to our RV AC silencer are doing an install on a Coleman mock. Hope this helps out. Let me know if you need any more help. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wyD1IMKfboU.htmlsi=2V7AlWh12U1_QKNu
I know of a coworker who owns a home on Bob-Lo-Island. But it's a bitch to cross the Detroit River during the cold winter months dealing with the river ice. My former boss was a brother to Captain Bob-Lo. His last name was Short.
Thank you for watching and your comments. It was fun flying my drone over by the lighthouse. I’m what I’m thinking of doing is doing another reversion of for this year of 2024. Thanks for watching.
Too bad there is not a window on the far side of the large slide, would be easier to get a cross draft on that side with two opposing windows. That slide is basically laid out the same as my 2019 31L5 which does have a 2nd window. It looks like getting in the shower can only be done from one side as the vanity counter seems to restrict easy access. Good thing is that the 1/2 bath door swings out to the right so someone can get in when the bedroom door is closed. Overall nice rig. Any MSRP pricing mentioned?
Hi Chris, when I was there on media day, which is the first day before it opens to the public it was funny that a lot of the dealers I guess that were presenting all the different products didn’t have prices on at that time, and a matter of fact, I thought some of the rigs didn’t even have power on them for us to go through and videotape so a price. I can look back in my record. See if I can find some thing and let you know.
Hi Bob, yeah I totally agree. When I moved over to these units from the Bluetooth of the Domitic units it was a great upgrade. I controlled them from really anywhere as long as you have Wi-Fi on your coach. Where I keep my RV I have it at a RV park which is accessible with cable and I do have a system there so I can control my temperature, air conditioning heating from back home so if it’s really hot, I can cool it down before I get there or if it’s way too cold I can turn it up. Thanks for watching and your comments.
I have done other videos on just changing the filter but when you insert the filter or even better when you remove the old one and try to seat a new one, it will not seat properly because the little tabs that hold the back part into the main frame will pop out and this is a method that I posted here to show you how to fix that. We’ve had a lot of hits on this video and a lot of compliments on it. It’s exactly how to fix the problem Not showing you how to change or replace the filter
