I like the video concept and it has a lot of potential, the title has a lot of potential, its very explanatory and helps the viewer know what to expect. In terms of thumbnails I would suggest to make the brighter (maybe boost the saturation or pick a more colorful picture). I like the inside of the house at the end so maybe a screenshot of a more interesting part of the finished house would help to bring more people into your video. I would also suggest less words in the thumbnail. Maybe 1 or 2 words around the sides to sort of summarizes either your title or video's content. You do a good job of explaining your video in the title so you don't necessarily have to do that in the thumbnail as well... If I were to give you any sort of suggestion video-wise it would be try working on keeping the commentary more direct and fast paced just because of viewer retention rates. I like the time lapses, they add a necessary break from the explanations in the commentary. That being said it is a little long, I would suggest next time maybe adding some short breaks in the middle of them just to break up the long process of rebuilding the house. One option would be to just add a short explanation of what you are going to do next in the house and then just continue the time lapse. Another option might be to add a break in the music and add a voice over of some sort that explains your process in a short and concise manor. BUT keep up the good work and keep pumping out video and getting better and better! I really like how you show off what you've done after the time-lapse, it ties it nicely together and adds a good Segway to an outro (which you did). I love most of the music throughout the video and the time-lapse it really makes the video 10X more tied together so good job there; however I would add that it would be nice to add some "hype" or "upbeat" music to your intro's as it can be a lot more of a hook for audiences that come across your videos.
Hey man, thanks for the comment and the tips! I'm happy to hear the positive side of my videos and yes, I agree with the length of the time lapse. I first thought it was great and I was stoked about it all, but after re-watching it today after receiving several comments like this, I realized that it is not as great as I thought haha. If I ever do another House Flipper video I will keep your suggestions and those of the others in mind, though I admit that these videos were more for testing purposes? I was exploring all options of PS Sharefactory and I have learned much since these videos. I'm actually doing much better already (in my opinion) in my more current videos, which I sadly could not put into the group because they are not PG13 (blood, gore, violence, occasional cussing...) but the comments on this video are really helping me a lot. So thanks again :)

I couldn't tell that it was done on there so you did that amazingly, considering your circumstances its quite well done. GJ! This is a very nice video and I am going to break my comment into 4 sections. Intro: A bit slow and doesn't bring any wow effect or something to get the viewer more intrigued. In those seconds it will be possible for someone to get bored and look at what's next in the feed and decide to click something else. Pre-Montage: You did pretty good at describing everything and what you are doing, but don't be afraid of setting up a bit of a script for what you are going to say so that you are more organized and potentially even touch on more topics and explain more of what you are doing for people that this is their first video watching you. Montage: Well done and definitely glad it was sped up as that could be very long, although a commentary during it and potentially only having it sped up by like 1.5x or 2x. Another thing is that if you are doing a bunch of 1 thing, skip over some parts to shorten the video a bit. Audio though was really good. Post-Montage: A bit more of a detailed walk through of the home would have been nice and a more personal transition from old to new home. Your video is great therefore I left a like, House flipper has been one of my favourite games and someday I will also play this game, actually I can't buy this game as my parents don't let me buy such games. I think you can play other games too like Minecraft, Ah your channel is perfect, just the title could enhance and the thumbnail a bit but a lot of change can lead to what happened to alderran stay positive stay safe
I'm doing great, thanks for asking. How are you? House Flipper is a great game! Hard to make videos that aren't montages on it or just talking to your audience about your life while giving them some eye candy, but it makes do. Thanks for the Minecraft tip, but I don't play MC, I don't really like that game too much. I am still working on titles, I have changed the titles to some of my videos a few times already to see what works best. I'll find the sweetspot after some more trial and error :) Also good luck on your gaming, I hope your parents will allow you to buy House Flipper. It is such a relaxing and innocent game.
Interesting video. However, if I oculd give some tips it would be this: 1) Better video title. The title of the video could do a better job at grabbing the attention of the viewer. Like: "Pimping the BORING House". As it is, it seems like you have 2 video titles in the same title and it's a little confusing. 2) Make it a little more "bouncy" if possible. The video is basically you talking for a few minutes and then we jump into pretty much a music video with you playing. Not enough variety. You have a 20 minutes video but i'm wondering if the whole 20 minutes was necessary or if you could've cut at some places. Were there any moments that were out of the ordinary when you were playing ? If so, what were they, what happened etc. Too one note. Anyway I hope I helped and keep going. You'll get the hang of it eventually and the views will come. Good luck :D !
Hey! Thanks for the comment and tips! 1. Yes! I full heartedly agree with you there. I am currently still experimenting with titles and I have had shorter ones that actually did worse than the longer ones. I am currently trying to find the sweetspot for titles with the help of VidIQ and some Trial and Error. 2. Weirdly enough, yes, the full 20 minutes are needed (give or take a few minutes) because I have experimented on this. I have made shorter and longer House Flipper videos in the same style and the longer ones did ok, but the shorter ones did awful. The ones I upload between 15 to 20 minutes so far do the best. This might change once I have a few more and can get some more data on the performance, but I generally agree with you. Shorter would be better, but I can't make this one shorter. I already sped the montage up to 8x normal speed haha and that is the maximum Playstation ShareFactory allows. You did help a lot, thank you so much! I will keep the tips in mind for future videos.
Hi Blaky. I genuinely think your channel can grow, and that it has a potential of reaching a wider audience. However, I have a few tips that could embellish your channel aesthetically and make you gain more views. 1. Make titles short and concise. Your title isn't necessarily bad, it's just slightly too long, and doesn't get right to the point. Frankly, if you make it shorter and at the same time make it more coherent it could gather you more views. For example : Pimping the Boring House. It's already part of your title but I think the last part is unnecessary. Instead, you could re-arrange it so that "changing location": can be in the description. Another good title could be, "Pimping my Boring House in House Flipper." It's not too much shorter, but gets straight to the point. 2. Make a new introduction or completely get rid of it. I think your intro is decent, but if you really want to make one, I recommend making one on PlaceIt for free(low res) or pay a few dollars for a full HD version without any watermarks. Another alternative would be to completely remove it, it's not very necessary unless you really have an affinity with intros. In that case, make one on a professional app. 3. Make the time-lapse faster or cut out certain areas. The time-lapse is gratuitously slow as it's so long. Speeding it up to 3 or 4x what you had would make it more interesting to watch, and make the video MUCH shorter. The RU-vid algorithm automatically recommends shorter videos and a 20 minute one is much too long. However, the niche of your content is quite unique and there is not a profound amount of people posting on this game. I've never even heard of it actually. Conclusion : The video is great, but could be ameliorated greatly with some more editing, better title and faster time-lapse. Great start to your channel, hope you can gain more views!
Hello and thank you so much for the comment and tips! 1. Yes, I agree. I have had a few people point this out and as I said to them I am still learning the ropes. I often turn to VidIQ for tips on titles and thumbnails and I will eventually find the sweetspot for those. Also yes, I agree, it is a bit long haha 2. The intro is a bit of a problem, because I do like intros and from other content creators I have learned that having an intro is a good thing, so I will keep it. I tried a new type of intro in my Salt and Sanctuary playthrough and that one definitely seems to do better. It is less dry and gives sneak peeks at what to expect in the video, but once I have a computer that actually works and not just PS ShareFactory to work with, I do actually want to make more professional intros, so thank you so much for the tip! 3. You don't even want to know how much I actually cut out. This was a 8 hour video and the montage is sped up to 8x original speed (the max PS ShareFactory has) though I will look into cutting out even more to make the process less boring. Thank you.
