In my first year in Atlanta, I covered Championship runs for both the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs, as well as a playoff birth for the Hawks, Georgia Tech's appearance in a NCAA Regional, Tiger Wood's return to the Masters and much more.

The Falcons are suppose to lose. It's the NFL plan. Just look at the effort on defense in every missed tackle. Chris Lindstrom 2 false starts? They threw the game folks!! It's all rigged. Atlanta is not on the list of teams that are suppose to win. They throw games. The play calls proves it. The Atlanta Falcons are the oldest franchise in any pro sport to not have won a championship. That is by design folks. It's not about coaches or players. They don't represent a market that the powers that be want winning. The players pick up a check on Wednesday no matter what. Arthur Smith has FedEx money so you think he gives a shit?? They are all sitting pretty. It's the fan base that hurts. And it's Atlanta, Georgia so who really cares. Every league needs a clown. For pro football it's Atlanta.

The fans in Atlanta should be tired of this mediocre play and coaching. Also I really think the owner Arthur Blank needs to sell the franchise and let someone else take over who is really interested in winning.
they should have been hitting the panic button way way way long time ago, The Falcons problems start with the draft then the owner and Smith needs to go. They need a OC stop letting Smith call the plays he sucks
A jet sweep to TE smith, with a more athletic, 1st round #1 Highest taken TE ever out there blocking?!?! Arthur Smith needs to be Fired like RIGHT NOW!!! Pitts, Drake, and Bijan are all gonna wanna trade or leave when those contracts are up.
Jonnu is an athletic specimen too don't forget. Pitts is a decoy that opens things up for others. He's top dog on the reciever end of things and gets double covered. But fails to make catches with single coverage. He's going to be expensive and will be traded in the off-season to get a 20-25th pick equivalent in the 2024 draft. Bijon too. Or trade Bishon for an elite pass rushing edge with 3 years left on a cheaper contract. Take our higher 1st and get a QB, trade our 3rd this year and a 2nd next year to move up if needed. 2nd 1st rd pick needs to be DT if we get a franchise pass rusher (+8 sack with regular double coverage) in free agency. Or pay top $ for an elite pass rusher ($25mil a year 4 years 60 garranteed) and trade Bishon for a 15-20th pick and we have 3, 1st rd picks. Two for a qb and one for a DT/Edge. 2nd needs to be a Center. Then get a better play caller and we will be NFC championship bound, 2-3 seeding.
The same is true for Dennis Allen. The division is so crappy that it's keeping their jobs. I want New Orleans to lose to the Falcons twice and Bucs one more time. Then, a coaching change would happen. Same for ATL. It should be a battle of who can do worse to justify getting new coaching.
I'll just say this through week 9: 2021: 4-5 2022: 4-5 2023: 4-5* *Team out of cap hell, coach has way more to work with this year If they lose to Arizona.. you almost have to let this dude go at the end of the year...
Arthur Smith is more worried about proving himself right then admitting he war wrong & actually give his best players the ball. The reason he won’t: everyone is telling him to, but Arthur is a stubborn d*ckhead & wants to be able to say i can win with my scheme not my players

Our eyes are not deceiving us. We know a bad team when we see it. This team is beginning to remind me of all the hype that surrounded the team in the 90s with the change to all black home uniforms in the Granville and Deion Sanders era.
Authur Smith doesn't have a clue. The playcalling is horrible and Ragone is complicit as well. It will be difficult for Authur to turn this thing around.
Joe Patrick's an idiot. We don't put Ritter back in the season's not over yet. Stick with Taylor hes clearly a better quarthur. Smith built a really good running team. But he really needs to hire somebody else to call the police because for some reason. Hes 60 pass, 40 run. He tries to get too cutesy in the red zone the only Person he outsmarts is himself !!!. Who in the hell lines up in a empty backfield shotgun at the 10 !!?!!?
It's time for Arthur Blank to go. He doesn't give fk as long as the team is remotely profitable, which is not that hard in the modern NFL. His soccer team makes more money for him anyway, so why should he care? Just another NFL owner that doesn't care if the franchise actually wins.
If the defenders tackled Dobbs and prevent him from getting that first down, they win the game. Smith is deficient and not the ideal HC for the Falcons but there is no excuse for players to not make routine plays.
Falcons shouldn’t have been in that situation to begin with. It should’ve been a blow out. So many missed td’s by horrible play calls. This was 100% on the coaching staff
Arthur Smith is not a quality HC... he is awful... play calling, game management, preparation game and player... simply awful... stop giving him a pass... and not to mention the blown draft picks.... year after year... it's an awful organization doing everything wrong...
@@myronallen2237 I agree with everything you said except...Who's giving Arthur a pass? I'm not. Did I not say that he's deficient and not the ideal coach for the Falcons? However, the players still have to perform and make plays when they're supposed to, right? Yet they're playing poorly on the field. They still have to do their jobs. We're dissatisfied with Smith but the players are the ones suited up and playing the games, not Smith.

It doesn't get you fired. Your star running back fumbling the ball that leads to 8pts and your back up Qb throwing an int on the very next offensive play that leads to 3pts(both turnovers being your side of the 50yd line) and your defense playing like sh*t will get you a LOSS though..😮
You have Robinson who you drafted high but you do not really use him. You drafted Pitts high in the draft but you do not use him. You have London who has top 10 talent and you use him maybe 50% of the time. 1rst and goal and you give the ball to the TE ????
