I scripted this video on my own after reading a book called The RU-vid Formula by Derral Eves. I reference the book in the video (3:33). Plus, in the beginning of the video, I talk about my experience running another RU-vid channel before starting this one (1:10). That previous channel had almost 3,000 subscribers and over half a million video views.

@joseraulmadrigal
@joseraulmadrigal Месяц назад
It depends how you use playlist. I'd say playlists are great if you are linking your videos to people outside of RU-vid. For instance, if you're promoting your video in a Facebook group, link the playlist instead of the video itself, so that way if they decide to keep watching videos after they finish yours, they are more likely to delve deeper into your own content instead of clicking someone else's video.

I would say true as well, but at the same time. I recommend people who are actually very new to RU-vid, to do few things. 1. Don't Burn Yourself Out, Just Try To Have Fun & Don't Focus On The Numbers Too much. Make A Few Videos First, & See If You Enjoy It.Just Try Make A Video About Anything (Topics You Enjoy or just random stuff would be a good start). 2. Next, If You Do Really Enjoy Making Videos, Now Keep Trying Making More Still Without A Schedule For Consistency Yet, But This Time, Improve Your Videos Bit By Bit In Each Videos, Still Don't Focus On The Numbers. 3. Once You Upload At Least 100 videos or more, and if you do want to take it seriously, and you know you truly enjoy and love making videos, Then Do What He Says. Packaging For A RU-vid Video Is So, So, So, So Important. Extremely Important, Beyond Important. (T&T) - Title & Thumbnail, If You Don't Get It Right, You Will Not Get Views No Matter What, Even If You Upload The Best Videos In The World, Before That, Make Sure Have A Good Idea First Before Start Making Your (T&T's). What Makes A Good Idea ? It's Has To Be Balance. It Has To Be Something Your Audience Wants To See And At The Same Time That Topic Excites You, Cause You Do Still Want To Enjoy Making Content Without People Pleasing Everyone But At The Same Time, Still Get Views So The Audience Actually Gonna Care About The Content You Make. 4. SEO vs HOMEPAGE - Seo Videos Are Videos People Search For A Specific Things Most Of The Time To Solve A Problem. Can Get Alot Of Views But Not Necessarily Viral Video Ideas All The Time. E.g., How To Make Videos. Homepage Videos - Can Appeal To A Broader Audience If You Get The Packaging + Idea & Execution Of The Video Right. So Learn, Editing, Pacing, Storytelling, Retention Techniques, & What Makes A Great RU-vid Video Idea & Packaging (T&T's). To Improve Titles, Learn Copywriting, To Learn Thumbnails, Learn Design & Human Psychology & Emotions RU-vidr Use For Their Thumbnails. There's more, but it's up to all of you to do your research : ).

So you were working 30 mins to 1 hour of work per day, and there was no work life separation? What did you do for the rest of the day? Point #2, as business owner you have to motivate yourself, how do you plan on doing that if you couldn't motivate yourself with your work? Business is not easy and it usually requires more than 30 mins to 1 hour of work per day. I understand being excited, yet it is not a game. You need more than confidence to start a business you need MONEY, and other resources. I hope you saved some money. I would recommend saving at least a year's worth of revenue before you quit any job to start a business because once you do make money in your business you have to pay taxes, and also you have business expenses. You don't want to coach people into poverty. The reality is most businesses fail and you need to know that, again it takes more than confidence to start and run a successful business. Best of luck!❤
@joseraulmadrigal
@joseraulmadrigal 2 месяца назад
@@DrBeeSpeaks hey there. 1. yes, there was no work life separation-mentally. Even though I was doing such a little amount of work per day, I had a lot of anxious thoughts about not being a good worker that would take up my entire day. Thoughts about work consumed me in a negative way. Plus, I always had my email open even if nothing was going on, so work was just always on my mind. 2. I have ways of motivating myself now that I’m doing my own thing. It’s been over a year now that I quit my job and it’s been a great journey for my personal development and mental health. I am doing way more work now and feeling motivated than I was 2 years ago in my corporate gig.

Hi Jose! I love your transparency and honesty about being 2 chapters ahead. I'm struggling with these fears because I always helped clients with complex problems (in Europe). There is a strong dissonance within me that I have 22 years of business experience (good and bad) and have 3 diplomas, yet I'm still stuck in the impostor syndrome. My biggest fear: because all this knowledge is not systematized in me, I can't teach it... what do you think?
@joseraulmadrigal
@joseraulmadrigal 2 месяца назад
Thanks for being open and honest with me as well! It sounds like you have a lot of great knowledge and experience, but you need to organize your thoughts so you can communicate them to others. Here is my creative process for making these RU-vid videos so far which you can apply to help in your business: 1. Think about a specific topic you'd like to help people with. 2. Get a pen and paper and brainstorm the main ideas of that topic that people would need to know. 3. Get another sheet of paper and now organize the brainstorm thoughts into a coherent manner. 4. Write an essay on the topic using those ideas or make videos so you can practice speaking your thoughts in a coherent, systemized way. Here's why I like pen and paper to brainstorm: When we type on the computer, our brains are working really fast because our typing speeds are usually pretty good these days. However, there is a limit to how fast we can write using a pen and paper... so that will LITERALLY force your brain to slow down and allow you to be more clear with everything. The modern world moves so fast nowadays, so we hardly have time to sit down and reflect on the knowledge that we do have. If we do not reflect and allow our minds to slow down, we will struggle in communicating our ideas to our clients, friends, and family members. If you really want to take your 22 years of knowledge and put it into practice, it's time to slow down and reflect through writing. Thanks for commenting... it couldn't have come at a better time, because I actually JUST uploaded a video about Imposter Syndrome in business. I hope that you can check it out. Cheers.

The one bit of advice I give to every single person looking for a job is to physically walk in wearing presentable clothes, have a smile and a nice demeanor, and hand-deliver your resume to someone who matters at the company. I've had 4 jobs in my life and every single one of them I had been told shortly after joining that I stuck out because I was the only candidate to physically show up to demonstrate my desire for a job. You wouldn't believe how many people just go onto Indeed or LinkedIn and press "send" hundreds of times without thought or focus on where they actually want to work and then complain that nobody will hire them. You need to stick out. Submitting an application is basically entering a competition, and I can speak now as someone actively hiring new candidates, I will dismiss you almost immediately if you do not do something or present yourself in a way that makes you stick out to me. I agree with your general theme in the video of laziness. People these days are so conditioned to instant dopamine and don't want to do anything that actually requires work, effort, or making themselves uncomfortable. It's honestly quite frightening to think of the future generations and their unwillingness to work, and I appreciate your effort in trying to help the problem.
