I am a single mom to a son who is 20 and a daughter who is 12. I started this channel for my daughter who was born with the CMV virus. Due to this virus she is has special needs including Cerebral Palsy sensory issues seizures hearing loss just to name a few. I have Septo Optic Dysplasia, which caused me to be born totally blind, and it also caused me to be on the autism spectrum, and it caused a few other things. On top of that, I have CPTSD. I have a weighted blanket, and I love it a lot. I also have a bodysock, a lap pad, the sensory peapod, and a few other things. I love all the sensory things I have. I’m a true sensory seeker.
This is ironic. I have a special needs friend named David when we were in school. We went to prom together. I am on the autism spectrum and I don't know what David has.

I think a safety bed is an absolute life necessity for special needs children who can hurt themselves in the middle of the night. I'm actually here researching if I can make a diy safety bed by myself and my Epileptic daughter DEFINITELY needs bars or some kind of zip tent. I hate how the government gets into parents business! As a mother of a special needs child I can say that worrying about being judged for special set ups we need for Sofia to keep her safe is a real thing. All someone has to do is disagree and call CPS, and that can make your life a living hell. PS- Sofia has been seizure free for 2 years now and I'm praying Sasha stays seizure free too! From one special needs mother to another: I know it's hard and there's not many people who feel our pain. I'm glad I found your channel as I have no one who really understands what Sofia needs!
I see a oversized crib style medical bed.🤓The actual manafacturer of the one you showed in the pic is made by Kayser Betten and is called the Hannah 135 and is classified as a FDA approved Medical device. The way I see it DCF needs not to practice medicine without a licence.Trying to interfere with the use of a perscribed medical device during a perscribed medical treatment by a licenced doctor is the same as practiceing medicine. That would be the same as DCF refuseing a pace maker to be used on a child which was perscribed by a cardiac surgeon because they believed the voltage was too high🙄. Medical equipment is medical equipment no matter what it is, if there was no need for it the doctor would not have wrote a perscription for it. What state are you from? I just want to know so I can stay away from a state that hates children so much they would endanger the safety of a child for 2 years and not allow the use of perscribed medical equipment by licenced doctors. PS. The DCF worker that pulled that garbage with your friend commited a bunch fedral crimes when they interrupted a FDA approved and licenced doctor perscribed treatment, and should be in prison and the judge in the court where the bs took place should face the same charges for allowing it to go on for 2 years 😔 as there was absoultely no judgement to actually be made by the judge as a judge is not a doctor 😂
People needs, like they really, really, really, NEED to stop judging and offering losers opinions on subjects way above the ability of their brain cells processing capabilities. I hated most of junior high and the kids were mean if she is still there in junior high honestly I would pull her out or send her to a school with more people like her
