I am a songwriter and singer, who with the passing of each day is realising how much there is to be thankful for, and to look forward to in the future.
I wish i had been born 10 years earlier than i was. I was born in 1985 and eas too young to enjoy the 80's and it looked like a hella good time. The 90's was great too though.
2:06 in the striped tie and glasses that looks like bond broker roger makhlouf! wow. i did business with him in the 90s and into the 21st century in US treasury bonds. nice bloke. roger confirms that it is him.. he was at the corney and barrow around the back of the bank of england he told me
One of those crap interviews, he spoke about his troubles, he didn't have to, turned positive with the supportive messages of his fans that ruth read out, then Phil went and brought it down again making adam uncomfortable with the last one
Is he saying hes a cool zombie? More Awake and ahead of his time than any one. First gig I went to age 11 in Leeds Queens Hall. Had my Shiny silver trousers on... Ant. People. Best Scorpio ever❤
I saw Adam and the Ants live, at Fort Regent, Jersey, Channel Islands; in 1980. I was 15. I queued for hours and was in the front row. It was magical; aahhh, the 80's...
Wow, I'm 58, snap I feel old. In 9th grade ('80) I just loved Adam & the Ants… before I discovered The Smiths. I think I was the only one in my town that did like them, as many thought he was pretty fruity; I remember being made fun of, bullied, and getting picked on just for liking them. Yeah, that was the 1980s for you, hence all of those movies with themes about social circles and class struggles/stratum, etc. Fast forward, to '23, I see he can still dance, and his voice is pretty crisp (well at least it was back in '12). But he certainly looks a bit fat and bloated, and he kind of adopted the Johnny Depp crazy/bonkers look. Still sporting the old 'Kings of the Wild Frontier' garb too. The eyeglasses certainly do not help. Damn shame. He was a king in my heart, but the star is obviously fading to near oblivion less a small circle of diehard fans and 1980s retro flashback types. He'll be performing at the Cape Cod Melody Tent soon! Sigh. The song sounds eerily similar to, “Hey Joe”. For me, the best part of the video is the boob shot of the cupcake back-up singer. Oh well, 'never trust a man, with egg on his face...'
Who's the presenter you can tell Adam Likes her....Good interview. Adam seems really mentally together here. I actually went on the Wonderful Tour Just such a Brilliant performance long may he continue!!! 🇬🇧
The 80's were in the main really good times, living near London and going there, I worked for a while near the World's end shop in the King's Road which Adam's wife managed I was told.
Okay please can anyone tell me where I can send fanmail and gifts that it won't get lost in the mail and will actually make it to Adam??? I'd love to send some things I want to make for him, but I don't want it to get lost or sent to an old address or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! 💝💌
Loved him his voice style all of it since I first saw STANS AND DELIVER for the first time in early 80's. Bought Wondeful when it came out. So happy Adam is WELL and touring! I'm 56 and my heart still skips a beat! I am and always will be a punk chicken!
In case anyone wants to know the story behind his stage name: he chose Adam, after the first man on Earth, and Ant because if there’s a nuclear war, ants will be the only insect living. He is a testament of what life can throw at you, and how you can persevere. He’s still a very, very, very handsome man!! I still love his older music, especially Strip. My GOD, he’s so hot in that video!!! My mom had a crush on him. Sorry, mom (RIP), for giving you away!! Puss and Boots made my mom dance, and Apollo 9 made us dance together. Man, I miss those days!!!
It's worth pointing out that, contrary to what is claimed in the lyric, the signing sessions for the Stand And Deliver book were in 2006, about eight years after Adam's time in Tennessee.
I saw Adam in concert at a club in LA right after he went solo (1982 or 83) I saw him again on this tour (2015) both time he had tremendous energy, despite a 30+ year difference
