Jonathan’s approach to empathy education is so refreshing! Teaching students to go beyond 'walking in someone else's shoes' and turning empathy into actionable behavior is exactly what’s needed in today’s classrooms. I’ve found that when young people truly understand and express empathy, it transforms not just their interactions but their entire outlook on relationships. In my work with youth, I also emphasize empathy as a tool for action-helping students invest in others' feelings and experiences. Thanks for sharing these great insights-I explore similar themes in my videos on empathy in action.
I am an army veteran and was diagnosed with RP over 20 years ago. If you are reading this, Mr. Perez, I would love to have conversations with you. I need to understand your journey and how you overcame depression. I need to understand how to build self-confidence. I need to understand how to get out there and do something more. I recently expressed to a friend that I am ashamed of my cane. Is there a book or seminar that you know of and can refer me to. I need more courage among other things. Anything you or anyone else can help me with would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
"Whether you're a Christian, Muslim or Jewish teacher" is still a pretty narrow category: all Abrahamic religions that believe we end up on one of two places when we die, and this worldview of right and wrong permeates all judgement. Isn't that what this whole this is aiming to argue against?
As a teacher, I always find these to be interesting. While I can never understand someone’s experience, someone else can never understand mine. As students, this is the same thing in my mind as a teacher, and everyone is an individual there for education. I treat everyone as a separate individual and adjust my lessons accordingly often times seeking specific information from each person, but what they need particularly. While I understand, I need to be aware of race, I think going too far to the other side of the spectrum does the same thing of excluding other people. This is what we are trying to combat is it not? Why can we not just simplify things and see everyone at the individual PERSoN
🛐🙏❤facts💓❤💕❤❤❤💖💞❤♥️❤💗❤💕❤❤💖😭Heavenly Father JesusGod, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! In Jesus Mighty God's holy name, Amen!" 💗❤❤💞This Gospel message if you continue to believe this message, you will be saved: For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried , that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time,
I'm spellbound by this. I read a book with similar content, and I was absolutely spellbound. "The Art of Meaningful Relationships in the 21st Century" by Leo Flint
Anti-racisms is basically a belief based ideology, which is very similar to a religion. Ms. Coe is making the mistake of pushing her personal world view beliefs onto her students.
I try not to live in fear but it’s so clear where our world is destined. Apart of empathy is awareness right? So what about all the children whose parents just give them a phone to entertain themselves or put on RU-vid before school. These kids have 0 awareness and they have trouble even making eye contact? I guess tragedy’s like this is the exact reason we need to be exercising our faith in God. We are doomed. The seeds have already been planted and it’s going to take an act of God to fix the damage.
there is a condition that is the opposite of narcissism yet no one seems to think it is bad that a person can't help themselves and only others. brain injuries go both way.
I dont find it a coincidence AT ALL... that this "teacher"... said "EXspecially" at the 1:07 mark. We no longer teach anything but this nonsense in the schools.
Thank you for sharing your story! You are brave, smart, courageous, strong and truly amazing!! I am watching this video for my Intro to Special Education Class. I am so honored to have watched this. I wish you all of the success in the world! Bless you and thank you.
Hey Taryn, so the ENTIRE Population of a Country should bend the knee for 13% of the Population (and over half of that 13% would say you are full of Bull Sh**)....Hmmm and you wonder why 75% of the School you worked at identified as Caucasian
I'd never encountered the name, Taryn Coe, until just a few moments when I played this video (actually, an audio), so I have little or no sense for how she believes that she effects others. However, I wonder if she has any sense for how self-aware she is, and what result she believes that pontification on any subject will affect the listener. Whatever the case, Mme Coe, good luck in your jousting!
Whats the problem. Just teach the truth!! The task is to separate truth from fiction. We all suffer from Mis (I miss heard you or I made a mistake) to Dis (I want to destroy your thinking and replace it with mine. The difference is huge.
I would love to see where she decided to live and a bank statement. I hope she knows she’s fooling no one and we are all aware of her silly grift. May she lose everything she gained from exploiting pain.
I love when these people accuse me of recognizing "reverse racism." And then when I tell them no, I don't even believe in reverse racism and the term doesn't exist, they get quiet.
