It's not technically all of them - there are forty Oz books that are generally agreed-on as 'official' by fans, and several affiliated ones, such as Sky Island there. And if you're including unofficial ones, there are probably well over a hundred; I'm not sure if anyone's ever made a complete count. But these are all of Baum's original books, yes. As to where to get them, you can get most of them simply by ordering from your local bookstore or looking online - if you look up 'Books of Wonder', they've got some very nice editions of them available. Hope that helps.
+Psycopathicus FORTY?! Dang i dont have room for that! I thin just stick Baum's originals. Thank you! Ozma of Oz is my faverit so fare. Ive read 8 of the books in order so far. Which is your favorite?
You'd be surprised - I've collected thirty-one of 'em so far, plus an assortment of peripherals, and they haven't yet filled up the one small bookshelf I've allocated as my 'Oz shelf'. The modern paperback reprints are mostly pretty slim, and don't take up much space. I'd suggest ordering one of the later books through your local library just to see what you think - some of them are actually really good, though very different in style from Baum's. There's a good wiki called 'Wizard of Oz FAQ' that gives a lot of info on the series as a whole, if you're interested. As for my favorite one? Ooh - that's a toughie. If we're sticking to the original Baum books, I've probably read 'Road to Oz' the most. My favorite in general, though, would probably have to be 'The Purple Prince of Oz', by Ruth Plumly Thompson.
Yeah, it's a good one - although I should probably warn you that it's essentially a sequel to another RPT book, 'Kabumpo in Oz'. Still, I didn't read 'Kabumpo' until years after I first read 'Purple Prince', and I never had a problem with it.
