Mostly drone related content recorded from my three DJI drones, the Mavic 3, Avata and DJI FPV! I am a DevOps Engineer and licensed drone pilot in the Kingston area, Ontario, Canada and willing to fly drone missions for people in the area for photography or video needs.
Also looking to connect with other pilots and fly cool FPV spots around Ontario.
Terrible and sad loss for the farm community, local food community and customers. So few of these small, family run businesses left to service the needs of this community.
I have used this for a while and it works but only on the first battery. After I try to do a second battery it doesn’t work. Apparently it keeps some kind of memory or something somewhere. I disconnect headset and Avata batteries, tun off the controller and still doesn’t work. Have you/anyone done any workaround on this?
It does acquire the gps lock much faster on the second battery but it should still be possible if gps is completely blocked, alternatively you could plug in your phone until it takes off and then unplug when in air.
I’ve been told if you have the goggles v2 you don’t need to plug in your phone. Only if you have the newer goggles this happens. Seems I’m wrong about that tho
Yeah its related to firmware version not hardware model, its a problem for both v2 and goggles 2, but not goggles integra because it has a built in gps module
I have the dji fpv. But I’m pretty sure you only have to do this with the avata. Wich firmware makes you have to plug in your phone? Is it the goggles or drone? If it’s the goggles wich firmware requires this? I’d really like to buy and avata but don’t want to bother with the phone. I might be on a low enough version for my v2 to not have to do this
@@alex-m-jones I must not be on the newest firmware then because my fpv doesn’t require my phone to take off. Might buy the avata if that’s the case. I’ll stay on this older firmware so I don’t have to do that lol. Thanks for the info
lol i wasn’t trying to impress anyone and it’s unedited what do you expect? I was more interested in watching the boats than flying and we were standing on the dock bouncing around allover the place from the waves.
