This is ridiculous. In all the many, many years that I had my JRT, I never even thought about clipping nails. She dug more holes than an average construction company does. Between that and going for walks and hikes, her nails juts took care of themselves.
I love jackrussels. We have Chloe. Don't think she will ever let us cut her nails without chewing us to death!!! Lol we love her much!! The vet takes care of that for us!! Lol
ive had two JRTs one i never had to clip his nails, the one i have now i always have to trim his nails- both are walked on concrete sidewalks- all dogs are different. if you live in the country your dogs nails wont be ground down by the cement sidewalks and will most like;ey need to be trimmed.
Winter when its snow: a) to cold for long walks b) does not wear claws down. So Yeah its needed. Digging is ”busy work” that JRT does (unless during a hunt) when its not activated enough. I walk and bike with mine. So its calm, not chewing stuff or digging. It just chews its chew toys indoors and runs outdoors :D
I purchased this portable pet carrier at goo.gl/r1IZU4 for my kitten simply because it looked like exactly the thing to remain her happy when travelling because it has lots of windows.Not surprisingly it really is intended for medium size dogs too. It's greater than I was expecting which is actually a a valuable thing plus it is perfectly constructed. I'm astounded by the price tag/quality ratio. Would strongly recommend it.
