I took my three year old to the theatre for the first time also to see this movie…he wasn’t a fan lol loved the snacks but it was a little too long for him, and I think a movie more for older kids…my 10 year old really enjoyed it. Really enjoying all your new videos. Hope you guys are having a fun summer!

As a former optician I couldn't help but notice Ava was squinting quite a bit throughout the video. That is generally a symptom of shortsightedness. I know her sister Olivia recently got glasses and myopia tends to be generic. I have a feeling that Ava very likely needs glasses as well. When did she last have her eyes checked? It's now recommended that everyone should be getting yearly eye exams. In the past it was only every other year. But because everyone's eyes are being so over exposed to screens it has been changed. Remember that were not just talking about computer screens but also your phone and even the TV.

I'm very surprised in not seeing Olivia wearing her glasses and especially in a car ride. I'm very sure she isn't able to see any road signs or store names without her glasses. She should only have her glasses when she's doing something close such as maybe reading a book or doing homework that only requires her near vision which is still quite good without glasses. But she should really be wearing her glasses most all the time. Did the optician that fitted her with her glasses provide any guidelines for her as to when she should be wearing them. Maybe a better option would have been the doctor since they first tried fitting her with someone else's glasses. Just so you know it, it's impossible for her to wear her glasses too much. She in no way would be doing any harm to her eyes by wearing her glasses all the time. I'm sure you have heard people say that wearing their glasses all the time ruined their eyes. That's simply not true. Now you should know this. Whether she wears her glasses or not don't over then next year. I'm assuming that you were told that she needs to come n for an eye exam next year around this time. Don't be surprised that she's likely going to need new glasses because of a change in her eyesight. Not what you wanted to hear but it's a fact because she is still so young. As her body continues to grow and change so will her eyes. It's going to continue changing until she's in her late teens or early twenties. I can tell that your great parents so don't ever think you could have done anything to prevent this from happening. You or Olivia has done nothing wrong. So no it wasn't caused by her sitting too close to the TV or playing too many video games.
I can't believe they started to fir her with the wrong glasses. I'm sure she couldn't see much of anything through them sine they were for a longsighted girl and Olivia is shortsighted. So completely the opposite of what her eyes need in front of them. I'm a retired optician and i was able to get a few peeks through her glasses and based on the minification she should really be wearing her glasses quite often and as you can see and hear her talking about the difference glasses makes to her seeing things it would be best if she were to wear them all the time. I'm sure anything more than a few feet away starts becoming blurry for her without her glasses. Really the best thing she could have done was to have stared wearing her glasses the next day after getting them and not taking then off until time for her to go to bed that night. That way her eyes would have adjusted to the prescription faster and she would have gotten used to wearing them as well.
I know that Olivia got glasses recently and because I was an optician I'm curious about Ava's eyesight. Generally eyesight is generic, so it should increase the odds of Ava also soon needing glasses. When did Ava last have her eyes examined? If it's been longer than a year I would highly suggest an eye exam for her. Never wait for kids to tell you they aren't able to see something. A doctor's eye exam is the only way of knowing for sure how well she's seeing.
