So for the time, when the bombs dropped in ep 1 when Coop is at the party was 2077 it just has 50’s styling. Then the bombs that dropped when Maximus was a child was in 2277, and the “present” with Lucy and co is 2296

@@DFQreactsI think in the games they explain it at some stage (I haven’t played them all but my friend who has tried explaining it to me) that basically this universe diverges from ours at a certain point in history. The micro chip was never invented or some other country won one of the world wars in the 1900s and it changed the trajectory of technology from then on. Where our universe started working toward computers and LCD flatscreens etc theirs remained on some old world technology that became “modernised” but not in the same way as ours. And obviously a lot of the 50s mentalities of the red scare and such stayed more prevalent with them. So they are in the future but not the same kind of future as we would have in the real world

Im so confused because i keep hearing people talk about how season 4 is too "political" And its been that way since the first episode? What show were these people watching??? Not only 60 people but 60 people when they had the backing of a corp like Vought. If Vought actually cared there easily could have been an evacuation attempt. For PR. But the fact that they didnt even care is so horrifying to me.

But that kinda falls apart in the first three episodes of the show! But a man who can't love because he's never experienced love himself? That's not a power fantasy, that's a tragedy. I don’t think that’s true that “no one else cares that there’s a woman in charge” if you see the way even Rhaenyra as the queen in her own faction is treated by her council. I also still don’t get why you don’t feel bad for Alicent. How anyone could see the shots of her a child herself and 8 months pregnant in season 1 and think she chose any of this. She’s way more complex than simply an “evil woman” and will never be the Cersei people want to make her into. That shot was meant to show the fear and sadness and realisation that she played her duties for nothing, the duties she was raised to think she had to abide by still mean nothing because she is a woman. And the same thing happens to Rhaenyra even as a woman with her own power of sorts. They are mirroring each other this entire episode and entire show. It’s also messed up to put the entire responsibility of raising her children on her as if Viserys wasn’t also responsible. Viserys who didn’t defend Aemond when he lost his eye. When Alicent was having these children as practically a child herself. C’mon now. She does feel guilt for how they turned out but it is not entirely her fault. It is the whole damn system that she has been made a pawn of too and is only now realising. She also raised Helaena who is soft and sweet. Aemond and Aegon are psychopaths due to their entitlement as royal men and the messed up family dynamics that happened during their childhood (and probably incest too lmao).
The higher ups of course do, like those on the counsel; but I think if you ask the small folk they wouldn't care. Its just those in power- and if you ask me thats definitely a take on today's climate. I don't think she's evil, but if you keep making terrible decisions and never sway from that- even when she realized her mistakes when Rhaenyra came to her- she never relented. Regardless of who it is I think we're all byproducts of our choices- and hers were always about retaining power. For Her Husband, Her Father, Her Son and then herself. And yes, she was a child in our eyes, but considered grown by theirs. She was raised knowing what her role would be, even from Otto trying to push her off onto the King, she knew what her job was: raise the kids. But power and leniency over time gave way to some truly terrible children, Helena being the exception. while Rhaenrya's boys weren't little psychopaths, but regular boys. ...and this is the Targaryans, there's no probably about it haha!
@@DFQreacts again I think it comes back to the fact she was forced to bear those children at 15 because Viserys so desperately wanted a son only for it to mean nothing because he always favoured Rhaenyra over those sons anyway. She was forced to bear them for nothing. They do shine light on this tragedy in season 1 too but people seem to wanna not see it. Her face while essentially getting maritally r*ped by a man old enough to be her grandfather says it all. And she tried during those years to repair things with Rhaenyra but she was too busy resenting her for things she didn’t choose, for sons she never wanted to have. It was all Viserys doing. There was no leniency had. And also consider the fact Alicent had her sons as a child bride, raising them as a child herself, raising sons she did not choose to have. Had no choice in bearing. No love in creating them. It was all forced duty. Rhaenyra’s sons were born when she was an adult, old enough to choose her path, who she had children with. To choose to even have children. Of COURSE there is a difference in their parenting styles. People comparing them makes no sense when it has never been the same for them. Only now is the misogyny they both face coming to light but Rhaenyra always had a lot more freedom than Alicent And yeah lol 😂 I more meant the incest is probably why they’re a little psychotic 😭

@@DFQreacts also sorry to keep rambling but Rhaenyra and Alicent will always be the most fascinating dynamic to me. When they were children Alicent was bound by duty while Rhaenyra wanted to have it all and do her own thing. Now in this season especially we see that role reversal begin as Alicent realises her life has never been her own and, as Freddie Mercury might say, wANTS TO BREAK FREEE 😝 all the while Rhaenyra is beginning to feel bound by duty to the throne
The next three episodes are, in my unasked-for opinion, the best of season 1. I mean, they're all good (except for number 9 which is meh), but 6, 7, and 8 are fetch.
Oh, and fun fact! In the book, Alyssa (Daemon's mother) was the first person to ever ride Meleys (Rhaenys' dragon) As for the dragon score? Im assuming you mean how many are left? Well, in the book there were 20 but im pretty sure ots a smaller number for the show) But weve lost Arrax and Meleys at this point.

haha I guess I just consider filler anything that doesn't move the main plot along; but it can include character development, which is why I'm a fan of filler for the most part.

i'm not sure the show is really meant as a whole story. i feel like each season has some soft arc but mostly it's clearly written as a case of the week kinda show
and to follow-up on that: i feel like if thsi was made today, it would focus on an overall story and better character development. i think this show made poor choices because of the time it came out and thus the focus was off, if that makes sense

ya they aren't exactly cheap, but there's 100 servings per tub, I've still got some that I've bought last year left, and I've been steadily drinking that Raw Meat for months and still have maybe a little under half, so it lasts! Its especially good if you're trying to cut back sugary drinks! ...and idk, I think its the mustache for me lol

You know, that's something I love doing, too! Whenever I finish a show, I always go back and rewatch the first episode. Its just crazy to see where they came from and how characters have evolved!
I don’t know if it was intentional but the way Maximus is played gives me sort of synth who doesn’t know he’s a synth vibes (or maybe he’s just neurodivergent and a traumatised kid, that makes sense for his demeanour too). The bombs dropping comment confused me too and further added to my theory of Maximus being a synth with old world memories, but then I think it implies that there was the “big war” where everyone went into the vaults but there were obviously survivors on the surface and some populated areas like Shady Sands but then obviously the different factions fought and there were still bombs and wars happening after everyone went into the vaults. I think the Brotherhood potentially bombed it in a fight with whoever and then saved him. I also love him being a small Easter egg for FO4 players with the “kid in a fridge” side quest (not sure if you remember or got that one but there’s basically a ghoul kid in a fridge somewhere you can stumble across and you gotta get him home to his parents 😂) What defeats my synth theory a little is someone said this takes place after Fallout 4 and seems to go with an ending where the Institute was wiped out (since the brotherhood still exist) so synths probably don’t still exist (but I kind of hope we see one still)

I was confused about how the gulper died, too. Consulting Reddit, the consensus seems to be that it had a good hold of Thaddeus, so its whole digestive tract was ripped out when Maximus pulled Thaddeus out. Also, it confused a LOT of people. So it wasn't just you and me 😊

Ren put out a video a week before dropping this song with all the texts between them highlighting the truth of their interaction. Go watch that video because it shows where this anger comes from and rightly so!
Please don't see this as hate or really even anything negative about your channel, please see it as feedback from someone who loves watching reactions of all sorts. This reaction, along with all of the others who have posted in the past couple days (opposed to when the video was first dropped), are sadly lacking any background info. And it makes the whole thing unenjoyable, because I don't want to have to correct somebody, I want to watch something and enjoy it with you, and enjoy you watching it. Or, hear what you have to say about NOT enjoying it, that would be okay too! What I don't like is watching a video like this and for you to have no idea what's going on. Ren's video is only good if you know what's going on, otherwise it just seems like bullying or violence or something like that, which it is not. It's his creative, artistic expression of his anger. If you want to appreciate this video, follow the path down the rabbit hole of Ren. You could start with hi ren, or can start with the tale of Jenny and screech and Violet (You have to watch all three, I promise it's worth it), or murderer, or Genesis, or look for his street music, like I shot the sheriff, specifically where he has red suspenders, I won't tell you where you should absolutely begin, but you have to hear hi ren, money game three, and at least his explanation or some understanding about the legal issues. I do wish you the best of luck and I hope you pop up in my feed again with another reaction.

I did have all intentions of watching it, but I just never got the time and when I found time to record this I didn't have time to do both. But thankfully I did get the gist of it through his music and from other Ren fans, but from what I know now, yes. She absolutely did deserve it haha I will watch that tonight though to get the full story so my next Ren Reaction I'll be caught up! Oh!
