I used to watch steam trains as a kid in "The Valley" going to and from Crossgates. My dad would take me to the footbridge at the bottom of Primrose Crescent.

After all the rain and wind we were so lucky to see glorious sunshine the whole day. You really made the most of it with an excellent record of the event.

Hi nice video.My name is Phil Holt.I started on the footplate at edgeley shed on the 4th of April 1961 as a fireman and I fired this locomotive a number of times.I also did two-year at Trafford Park shed then back to edgeley.I finished my time out at longsight as a driver.But on the 19th of February 1973 I fired the flying Scotsmen from Manchester to Darby works and on the 25th of August 1973 I fired lender from Darby to Manchester Regards.Phil.
Great video of Bahamas there, same it shut off on 1st location , second spot my favorite at Selside , i was on board the train and saw you on the bridge , did well to avoid the crowds. Stephen Brass.
