This movie was a nightmare that you wake up from thanking God it was just a nightmare. Except, when the credits roll, that's it. This movie is just a nightmare.
This is how you do a perfect cameo without having it feeling forced in. It’s just a nice little nod to audience to let you know that it’s still part of the Mad Max world and that Max could be anywhere in that world. But how the hell could Max remember Furiosa in Fury Road when he was like 2000 feet away from her in this movie when he first saw her and didn’t even know who it was?!?!
@@S-TH yes, it’s very sad but it’s what makes it special, they had a bond and had to kill each other, I love how Aemond and Daemon die basically at the same time is well, although Daemons body was never discovered….
Here from Sarah’s channel. Really enjoyed listening to this chat 🙂 I wasn’t a big fan of the movie unfortunately, but always love to hear other Tubers thoughts. Loved the little chat with Sarah at the start 🙂 I learned some things about her I didn’t know! Loving the horror love! Nosferatu is my highest anticipated too! I’m old enough to have seen Matrix at the cinema 😂.
oh! another thing i would add to this movie understanding what horror is the feeling of “doomed from the start,” or having things be entirely out of your control. those two themes are it for me.
*the premise doesn't work...* Regarding the movie _A Quiet Place,_ the characters believe that if they hold a conversation while sitting next to a waterfall, then the heebee jeebees can't hear them. Unfortunately, physics doesn't work like that. In order for the noise source to prevent the heebee jeebees from hearing a conversation, you would have to get the heebee jeebees to stand next to the noise source (i.e. the waterfall) while you conduct your conversation AWAY FROM the noise source. Find a noise source and try it yourself. In the scenario presented by the movie, the heebee jeebees (who are at a distance AWAY FROM the waterfall) would hear the waterfall AND the conversation taking place next to the waterfall.
this movie legitimately traumatized me. the second that i heard the song playing i wanted to turn this off. i watched a video essay on it and it made me want to watch it. demonic sort of movies terrify me because of specific reasons, but i was just talking to a friend about this and wanted to face my fear of this movie. absolutely beautiful and genius movie and storyline, especially if you yourself have experienced generational trauma. you know what terrified me most? the mother’s scream of grief. women in distress is just horrifying. i heard a rumor the young male actress had to go to therapy after this! don’t quote me on it though, not sure if it’s true

Ari Aster's work is so appreciated! Toni Collete's performance definitely deserved an Oscar. She is so underrated. The whole cast was amazing. So many people I know dislike this movie. I asked why...no one could articulate it. Except one person, and they are a huge fan of horror, history and cinema. They said, "I DON'T LIKE THE WAY IT MAKES ME FEEL"
Don't really understand her criticism. Tashi is the conduit that connects the two guys, she's the tennis ball. They all fulfill different aspects of each other's wants and Tashi was always attracted to Patrick but of course that flames out quick because Patrick is all passion and no focus. She marrys Art but that also eventually fizzles out because he doesnt have the fire that Patrick has. Tashi wants to reconnect the three of them because she knows the Art and Patrick love each other, that's why Art is only mad for like a brief moment when Patrick signals that he hooked up with Tashi at the end.
Major horror fan here. This movie is insanely overrated, the plot has more holes than aged swiss. Has a few redeeming moments through acting or cinematography. Still an utter mess of a movie
The pleasure was all mine. Haha most would have completely flunked that game but you did well on the spot! Looking forward to welcoming you back on for round 2 soon!
The ‘Only’ flaw with this show is that Beth Harmon forgot to pay back William Shaibel $10 after entering & winning the Kentucky state chess championship 😔 Still…10/10, exceptional. “It’s your game”
From the moment you see Toni Collette's character in the corner (you know the moment), I literally leapt out of my seat and stood half in the theater and half out of it. I was so unnerved I couldn't stand to be anywhere that I didn't have a complete 180 degree view. I still watched from that point on but the climax of the movie complete set off my fight, flight or freeze response and i think it managed to do all three for me.
