2 years later and it seems like the trend is just bumping up the brightness not matter these days, as well as projecting out from the top of the bulbs as well. I've already ordered a full set of bulbs for my car so I'll have to wait and see how good/bad it is going to be because I also don't want to be that annoying person who blinds everyone. I just want to be seen, so my suspicion is that the AUXITO 7507 LED Bulbs I ordered for my rear turn signals might be too bright as reviews does indicate. I just want to see for myself.
Thanh, thanks for the great video. it was indeed simple but awkward to install. Biggest problem was getting the connector loose, not obvious how to release. It was also difficult to reinstall the panel because the wires from the harness and the finish panel left the panel hanging. I kept pulling out the connections on the LED inserts. I finally had to loop the led pigtail and feed wire and sip tie so they didn't pull apart as I was trying to reattach the door trim panel. Cant wait to see the difference at night for loading the back.
Still debating if I should do this mod because of the coil that someone commented. Was it worth it? Would you still buy the same exact button or a different one? Also what’s the tool that you mentioned at 2:31 that others were using to pry the push/start button off?
My button has worked fine since installation and I have no complaints. I prefer the simple look and would stay with the version I have since it illuminates around the button itself which helps me locate the button better at night. The kit should come with a tool to pry the OEM button out so maybe I was unfortunate to not get one. It's purely an aesthetic mod and only requires the removal of the plastic button, you don't need to mess with the light or coil behind the FOB receiver. I hope that helps!
For those who are having trouble with it on Android 14-- open android carplay scroll down to version click on it and enable developer mode, then on the 3 dots on the top left click that then user mode and click developer then restart phone and you should be able to use it.
Yeah, Amazon also says it won't fit my 2021. You'll notice that they only have a vehicle selection for the gas version which this oil filter wrench won't fit but the Hybrid has a different smaller oil filter which will fit perfectly.
@@sasha85ful I did not and don't plan to for safety reasons if the airbag is activated. I don't want any debris to fly at my face. If you're looking to change the emblem color to black, I would recommend Hyperdipping it.
@@sasha85ful Must be slightly different wiring that is incompatible with the aftermarket harness? I know there are other products that don't work on XSE because of this reason.
@@sasha85ful Yes, there is only one plug but it's possible that the wiring harness has a different pattern in the XSE. You can ask CarTrimHome directly for more XSE customers experience as to why it's not compatible.

Oh, that black box? That's the controller for my LED foot well lights, you can't see the wires but it's tucked into the center console. You had me searching the whole screen! lol
Download the instructions I've linked in the video description and follow Fig. 5-4 and 5-5 to see where the four bolts on the bottom thread in. You'll need a 10mm deep socket and 6" extension to tighten those bolts I from the bottom.
My kit didn't come with the little nuts you screw into the underside on the piece that you screw onto the car with the washers. It did come with the 2 rectangler pieces of metal with the threads, so I used that to secure the piece. Is that ok?
Yeah, it was actually that rectangler washer that you used to fill the gap between the hood bracket and the hood. Also, is there any special procedure to remove the struts other than just pull them out of the ball socket? I accidentally put one in backwards so I just kinda pried it off, but not sure of that was ok. Great channel, I'm enjoying your videos, already subscribed
@@StephenHeuman Yup, Just pry the metal c-clamp out with a flat head and you can remove the strut with ease. It also wouldn't hurt to email the seller if you feel the bolts are missing to see if they'll send you a replacement set. Thanks for the support!
None that I know of at this time. Some members have inquiried with some of the popular companies that make catch cans but there's just not enough demand to prioritize one for Highlanders. If you check out the ToyotaNation forums, people have made the own DYI versions using universal kits.

@thanho4433 Thank you, I'm not good at reading Vietnamese though. 😅 Yes, the products I review on my channel are easy to purchase in the US mainly through CarTrimHome, Amazon, AliExpress or ebay.

For fog light adjustment, the cover on the bottom has a hole where a screwdriver can go for you to make an adjustment. Easier to use that to get the right level for your lights when bumper is mounted rather than not
I too am having the same issue. I've tried everything I know how and nothing. I also have an S23 ultra running Android 14. Can you offer more troubleshooting advice? Thanks
Unfortunately, the aftermarket powered side mirror options are not compatible with my Platinum trim which has the 360 birds eye view camera. Although, the 2023+ models now have OEM powered mirrors, it's too expensive to buy the parts.
It's nice CarTrimHome is coming out with options other than blue, I still like the blue though. I gotta say, you come up with a bunch of great ideas/products for your Highlander. I like that white seat protector and side headrest on your passenger seat. Do you have links for those? My wife could really use that side headrest on long road trips when she would doze off and jolt back awake when her head falls to the side.
Thanks, the white seat cover is a lumbar pillow filled with air that follows the curvature of your back when you press against it. Here's the product link: a.aliexpress.com/_mLujOXU
I have cool white (6000k) installed in my Highlander. Great upgrade from the stock fogs. One thing to note, during winter or when it was still cold then theres a sudden change in outside temp, the glass would have some condensation. I messaged diode dynamics about it, and they said its normal. Condensation on mine goes away anyway. But if come to a point that the condensation build up is a lot that moisture pools, its a defect at that point. Observe yours. Overall, im really happy with light output.
