Parking Charges for 2 wheelers is Rs.30 and 4 wheelers is Rs.50 in Rathna Square, Salem !! First of all, parking is a basic facility they need to provide us for free where we come and spend money to purchase goods or items in the mall or watch movies. Big shopping stores like Pothys, Saravana Stores, Star hotels or any Jewellery store provides free parking to its customers with a chance of exception in very few places. Okay, since they call it a shopping mall with organised parking, a basic fee of Rs.10 is more than enough when coming to watch movies or for other purposes. Almost every theatre in Salem now charges Rs.20 for 2 wheelers which has already reached a maximum fee limit for parking purposes. But Rathna Square charges Rs.30 since opening itself while the mall has just Starbucks and ROX by DNC theatres and no other shops as of now. What's the purpose here to pay Rs.30 for just parking our vehicle ?! Reliance Mall in 5 roads also has many shops and stores with INOX Cinemas being there too. Their charges started with Rs.10 if I remember correctly, then Rs.15 and now Rs.20 from the start of 2024 i think. FYI, Lulu Mall in Coimbatore charges Rs.30 only for cars itself up to 3 hours. Although it does not have any movie theatre, it is quite a big shopping complex with many brand stores there. But here in Rathna Square we are paying Rs.30 for 2 wheelers to watch a movie. If it goes like this without any questioning they will end up in the next 3-4 years charging up to Rs.50 or even more for just 2 wheeler parking itself. It will become part of the movie ticket booking system just like additional online booking charges, they will demand parking charges and it will keep on increasing. Please do voice it out and question them when you visit Rathna Square next time until they reduce it as soon as possible before other theatres also increase their charges citing these guys. Hoping for the best !
