Yes there is Uber, Lyft, and Holoholo (local ride share). There are also options like Charley’s Taxis, Hello Cab, and The Cab. During our trip, we took Charley’s Taxis from Waikiki to Aulani. We also did an Uber from Aulani to Honolulu (cruise terminal). Have a great trip, guys!
Great video! I absolutely think you can still do Disney on a budget. We are heading back in November (as we just went in June), but we’re kinda splurging with a stay at the Disneyland hotel. I definitely know I could make it a lot more budget friendly, but I will next time. 😉
@@MapleMickey Thank you! we’ve stayed there before. We’ve stayed at all the on property hotels. The last couple of trips we did Pixar Place. So great! I grew up in So Cal, so I’ve been to Disney a lot( and no hotel stays!). We now live in Northern CA, so my kids only know us staying in hotels (and flying). I could drive and make it more affordable but no thank you. Haha. 😆

Thank you so much for the great info... it's exactly what I needed! There are a few "on sale" from the Disney store and I couldn't decide if both my husband and I both needed one or just me! Lol.
Great question. Everyone in your party has to have some form of “ticket” whether it be the free card, mobile magic, Magic Band, or Magic Band +. You can mix and match those in your party. For instance Lisa likes to have a magic band, we would get our kids the magic band + so they could interact with things in the park and have the photo pass connection. I (Lucas) prefer not spending money on the upsell and just use my phone (mobile magic) or the free card. Hope that helps.
Just found your channel, enjoying the videos! The Magic and Fantasy have a second cafe spot. I can’t remember what it’s called and it’s very small. It is more of like a walk up and leave. But they have the specialty coffees and pastries. I want to say it is on deck 4😬 but not 100%. I haven’t been on the other ships so don’t know about those yet.🙂
Great tip for the Body Glide….definitely adding to my packing list! I love bringing an over the door organizer but have to get creative like you mention. I zip tie one to a hanger and hang it on one of the hooks right outside of the bathroom!
you forgot the best method to be picked up from MCO - "Away We Go" a private shuttle service, so it's only you & your party. They provide car seats even when one of the children is a newborn & a toddler. They will make a stop for you at the Publix, ( to pick up a pre-placed order, none of this loggy gagging in the aisles and checkouts) are very communicative if flights are delayed. It's all for a reasonable price. When you make these videos please do better research to include all options
little bit of misinformation there. As a resort guest, you do NOT get advance dining reservations. You need to go on every day and make them. Per PlanDisney. " Disneyland Resort dining reservations cannot currently be made for a complete length of stay, so you’ll need to make your arrangements one day at a time if you wish to secure reservations at the 60-day mark for each day of your visit."
My husband and I were between this resort and Caribbean Beach for our first anniversary trip coming up this summer. Everyone except one person told us to book Coronado hands down. Thank you for all the helpful info!
Great question @danabailey1628 When you exit the boat look for the shuttle pick up area. The shuttle will pick you up for what is about a 10 minute drive to the airport. Looking at a 20-25 minute wait between shuttles. The shuttle can only take so many people so if we did it again we would send one person to go get the car and just drive it back to pick up the rest of the party. Also, as you exit the cruise terminal area and turn right you will see some street parking. It’s free overnight parking. It is however limited spaces so keep that in mind. Hope that helps. I've put my annual pass in my iPhone wallet and loaded that to my apple watch. I can check into the park, into lighting lanes and tap to get ride pictures with my watch. Bascially like a Magic Band.

Again, we were on your same itinerary - Aulani + Disney Wonder from Honolulu to Vancouver this year. You guys did what we should have! I'm fascinated by volcanoes, so I was really looking forward to the Big Island! I'd booked a helicopter tour of Kilauea and east Hawaii. You were there, so you can guess how the helicopter tour ended up - cancelled! We spent the day on the ship, which wasn't the worst consolation prize. My wife enjoyed a long and greatly-discounted massage from Senses Spa, and I had a great time photographing and videoing decks 9 & 10 in the periodic monsoons you experienced in the Jeep. Best part of this video was seeing ourselves in Tiana's Place at 18:09 in your vlog!!! I thought we were on the same dining rotation based on the restaurant sequence in your vlogs - just wasn't sure if you were early or late. Before this cruise, we had a 7-night Mexican Riviera on the Wonder in April of 2025 as our next cruise. Now we have the 4-night to Catalina and Ensenada ahead of the 7-night for a B2B, and a 7-night on the Fantasy out of Southampton, U.K. to Northern Europe B2B with the 7-night British Isles added to our pending reservations list! These things are so addicting!!! :) Looking forward to the next one!!!
Welcome back @dvandkq It’s a bummer that you didn’t get to experience the helicopter tour. That would have been an epic way to see the crater. That’s so cool we were on the same rotation, I’m sure we saw you around. The ship wasn’t quite big enough to not have crossed paths with everyone at least once in 11 days. Your upcoming itineraries sound exciting. You’re living our dream. 😆 On another note, I notice you ride motorcycles. It’s always nice to meet another biker.
You mention the weight on luggage, is there a weight limit for this? Im going on the Disney cruise soon, and I was under the impression that there was not a weight limit for luggage.
Great question. The majority of cruisers have an airport on the front end and/or back end of their trip. So we thought we’d mention that consideration. However, you are correct, the cruise terminals do not have weight limits on the luggage. Our last cruise had a flight on the front end and it was so nice on the back end of our trip to just stuff our luggage full and not worry about weight! 😃
Your ocean view resort room is beautiful! We've stayed in both a resort (hotel) room and deluxe studio before, and enjoy the option to request two queen beds you get in the resort room. And it's a little more spacious than the deluxe studio too! Enjoyed your video!!
the most beautiful place I've ever been, tied with Alaska. We stayed outside of Lahaina and I'm so grateful I got to experience it before the devastation.
Hey @juniperdog5523 great question. The fitness center is open to all passengers. I (Lucas) visited everyday and then took advantage of the dry sauna and walk in showers located in the change room. We did not purchase the Rainforest pass on the Wonder.
What happens if you’re staying on property but want to rent a car mid week of our stay? .. we are planning on using Disney’s transportation in the beginning but I know I want to plan to rent a car at least mid way of our vaca. Is there an option by Disney for that?
Great question @mariefarrales18 thanks for reaching out. You can rent a car at your resort by visiting guest services, booking online, or calling the Car Care Center with any lobby phone. (407) 824-3470. Disney has some preferred partners Enterprise, Alamo, and National. You can work out a shuttle pickup to the Car Care Center. They operate from 7:00am-7:00pm everyday. Self parking for resort guests is complimentary. Hope that helps.
Not a fan of Starbucks, so we're even! LOL. Monkeypod is such a great place to go when staying at Aulani. I know you don't drink alcohol, but for those that do their regular Mai Tai is very good!
@@MapleMickey Not a big fan of the Joffrey's brew served up. I'm more of a Dunkin Donut coffee kind of coffee drinker, so finding that in the islands was difficult, but one was a few miles from Aulani.
This is a great question! You can request an accessible Minnie Van that can accommodate a wheelchair, ECV, or scooter. To accommodate the space required, only 3 additional riders can fit in the vehicle. It looks like there are accessible Uber/Lyft options as well that can be booked through the app.
@@MapleMickey It was our first time to Aulani - we'll be going back! As for the cruise, it was our 8th DCL cruise, and we loved it! We have #9 booked (7-night Mexican Riviera on the Wonder) and hope to have #10 & #11 booked by Wednesday (Northern Europe & British Isles B2B on the Fantasy). We've spent a total of 48 nights so far on the Wonder alone - over the years, she has sailed some of the best itineraries - Alaska, Panama Canal, Hawaii, and now Australia and New Zealand!
Thank you for this video! I was searching all over for this up to date explanation. We are taking our kids for the first time. My husband and I haven’t been since 2013 and SO much has changed in terms of you now pay for so many things that used to be complimentary. (Airport shuttle, magic bands, fast pass…so sad!) I think I’m going to forgo the magic band and use my phone/the key to the world card. I think my 5 year old daughter will think the card is just as exciting as the band!! I’ll save the 100 dollars and use it for genie plus or something!! Thanks again for the confirmation!!

the car services are FANTASTIC, but...rideshare is cheap, abundant, and (usually) fast. the exception is when it is a super-busy arrival time. then rideshare can make you wait up to an hour... if you use a car service, and if you check bags, some of the car services will also grab your bags off the carousel to load into the vehicle.
